Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 246: Chapter 147: Attending the Celebration (2)

Luo Ye and Ying Nuo exchanged glances and quickly followed, the two were like window paper that couldn’t be poked, feeling shy at the moment, better to make a quiet exit!

...

The celebration was set in the school auditorium that could fit over 5,000 people, from afar they could see a big banner above the auditorium which read ”Warm Welcome to the City Leaders for Attending Our School’s Tenth Anniversary”, Xing Nong coughed lightly: ”Luoluo, will your dad come?”

”My dad? He wouldn’t attend these kinds of events, especially with my brother around...” Luo Ye shook her head as she spoke: ”But you never know, I can’t guess his actions now. Looking at this ambiguous banner, it’s really hard to say. Forget guessing, let’s go backstage and see how my brother’s preparation is coming along.”

Ying Nuo took a deep breath: ”This is the first time I’m attending such a big event, going backstage, ah...” she paused: ”Dongdong, are you nervous?”

”Not nervous, I’m just super excited!” The crisp childish voice was brimming with joy, the little face’s brows and eyes were about to fly up.

Xing Nong playfully teased Ying Nuo: ”Is the reason for your nervousness related to the size of the event, or the backstage, or is it because of someone?”

”Xing Nong, you feel uncomfortable if you don’t tease someone for a while, be careful, there will come a time when we catch something on you.” Ying Nuo’s personality was more gentle than Tang Luo, and her words were soft and sweet.

Xing Nong nodded happily: ”No problem, when the time comes just use me for fun, if I can make you guys laugh, then I, Yan Xing Nong, would have made a contribution.”

When everyone arrived backstage, they were met with the aroma of cosmetics, and inside was a chaotic and busy scene, but they spotted Young Master Luo easily, wearing a fruit-green shirt and off-white casual pants, his tall stature and handsome face looking dashing!

”Bro.”

”Brother Luo Feng.”

”...”

”Ye’er, why are you guys here? I mean, how did you get in?” Luo Feng looked at them in surprise, as non-performers wouldn’t be able to enter without someone they knew, and the staff would be able to spot imposters after the days of rehearsal.

Luo Ye said with a cheeky smile: ”Considering that we all look pretty pleasing to the audience, the staff let us in.”

”Impossible, those two are notoriously meticulous.” Luo Feng said with disbelief.

”Then you don’t have to worry about it...”

A short and chubby male student hurried over, ”Luo Feng, the little actor for the situational play can’t come, his mother called to say, after the kid’s grandfather found out, he firmly refused to let the child participate in the performance.”

”How can he say he’s not coming now? I’ll call him.” Luo Feng pointed at Luo Ye and the others: ”Li Liang, this is my sister and her classmates, please look after them.”

Luo Ye was speechless, they were so grown up, did they still need looking after? She wanted to retort, but her brother had already run off without a trace, hmm, the practice hadn’t been in vain.

”Hello, my name is Li Liang.” The male student smiled honestly: ”My classmates all call me Fatty.”

”I’m Luo Ye, these are my classmates Yan Xing Nong, Shangguan Ying Nuo, and this little friend is Tao Dongdong, Brother Li, you go ahead with your work, we’ll wait here for my brother.”

Li Liang gestured with his hand: ”I’m just running errands, Qu Yue was called away by the principal just now, after this incident, I must wait for Luo Feng’s instructions before going to notify the performance team of this program.”

Xing Nong couldn’t help but laugh: ”Brother Li is quite earnest.”

Li Liang had a very serious face: ”You have to be serious, city leaders are coming, you can’t be careless, looking at the school leaders’ expressions, the officials coming hold not insignificant positions, originally the performance was fully managed by the students, but two days ago, several teachers were added to help at the last minute, though they didn’t participate in the early stages, the actual directing is still up to Qu Yue and Luo Feng.”

”Luo Ye? Is that really you? You looked familiar.”

Luo Ye turned her head and saw a familiar face, Zhuang Meili was looking at her with a face full of surprise, adorned in a blue sheer long traditional gown that made her look more graceful.

”Sister Meili, you look really beautiful today.” Luo Ye genuinely complimented, and then introduced Xing Nong, Tang Luo, and Dongdong to Zhuang Meili.

Women’s intuition is indeed sharp, the gaze Zhuang Meili had on Ying Nuo was noticeably longer than on others, followed by a moment of hesitation: ”Luo Ye, could I have a word with you alone?”

”Sure!”

”Luo Ye, I will take care of your classmates and this little friend, and when Luo Feng comes back, I will also tell him you went out with Zhuang Meili.”

Luo Ye nodded with a smile, walking out with Zhuang Meili while mentally chuckling, this Li Liang was quite interesting, probably aware of the fact that Zhuang Meili had once chased after her brother.

In a secluded corner, Zhuang Meili smiled embarrassingly: ”Luo Ye, I wanted to talk to you about Liang Jing’s matter, it’s a bit presumptuous, please forgive me.”
