I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Eternal Rest Set, National Rankings Announced!

Lin Yi finally understood why his A-grade talent was rated as T4 on the official forum’s talent rankings.

It turned out this talent had a hidden effect that wasn’t specified in the talent’s description.

This should be considered a restriction imposed by the Blue Star Celestial Dao on such talents.

If you want to use skills from other professions, you can.

But you have to spend ten times more skill points to level up!

This restriction effectively prevents the emergence of all-around professionals who can learn any skills from existing across-profession skill systems.

If this restriction didn’t exist, Lin Yi estimated that this type of talent would be rated at least SS-level or higher!

However, for him, this restriction didn’t bother him at all!

He indeed could prioritize spending skill points on his primary profession skills.

But considering the efficiency of gaining 86,400 skill points in a day,

In the future, Lin Yi’s skill points are bound to overflow someday.

This talent allows him to make use of those potentially overflowing skill points!

And there’s hope of leveling them up to high-tier!

Just thinking about it made Lin Yi feel extraordinary!

Trash talent?

No! To him, this is a supreme talent!

”So, is it a good talent?” Li Qianye asked with a smile.

Lin Yi nodded, ”It is indeed quite good.”

”Hahaha, then congratulations, my friend.”

”Next are the remaining two rewards.”

”Your exemption for the Xia Zone trial tower has been submitted. There’s still over four months until the trial tower opens, and three months before the Pan-Asian Youth Professional Peak Competition, so take your time. Use this period to level up and grow stronger.”

”And then you can choose a platinum-grade equipment set that you can use.”

Li Qianye handed a list to Lin Yi, ”After confirming you got first place in the nation, we sent someone to the equipment vault to select the five most suitable mage equipment sets for you. Choose one.”

”Once decided, I’ll arrange for it to be fetched.”

Lin Yi picked up the list and started reading.

The first set immediately caught his eye.

[Eternal Rest Robe]

[Level Required: LV.65]

[Category: Armor (Top)]

[Quality: Platinum-grade]

[Cloth Armor]

[Weight: 1.1KG]

[Attribute Bonus: Spirit +220]

[Defense +170]

[Special Effect: Simple]

[Set Effect: Endless Revenge (4/4)]

[2-piece Set: When you kill a target, you gain 1% necromancy skill intensity, stackable up to 5 times, lasting 20 seconds.]

[4-piece Set: All your necromancy summons have their attribute values increased by 10%, and their duration extended by 10 seconds.]

[Note: The fire of hatred never rests.]

The set effect of this equipment clearly strengthens the Necromancy Element.

And it’s a cloth armor, which a Mage can wear.

Most equipment that enhances necromancy skills is usually plate armor.

Because a necromancer knight is the authentic profession for necromancy skills.

This highlights the rarity of this cloth armor set.

Besides the set effect, what satisfied Lin Yi most was that this equipment also had a special effect!

Each piece has the [Simple] special effect!

The effect of this special effect is very easy to understand; it allows professionals 5 levels below the equipment’s required level to wear it.

Lin Yi is currently Level 60, and the equipment’s wearing level is 65, just perfect for Lin Yi to wear.

Finally, the attribute values of this equipment set.

Just one piece gives 220 points of spirit.

The entire set gives an estimated spirit attribute value of over a thousand.

Lin Yi couldn’t find any faults; this equipment set is too perfect for him now.

This also indirectly proved how attentive people were when selecting equipment for him.

Lin Yi glanced over the other four options.

After comparing them all, the first set was still the best.

”I’ll take the first set.” Lin Yi handed the list back to Li Qianye, making his final decision.

Li Qianye nodded, ”Haha, I knew you’d choose the first set.”

”This equipment set is comfortable for leveling up during regular times.”

”Especially since you have a specialization in necromancy skills; using summons to clear dungeons is extremely relaxing.”

Li Qianye promptly had someone fetch the equipment.

He then said to Lin Yi, ”Now that all exams are finished, once you receive your equipment, you should head back to report to your leaders in Dongjiang.”

”I won’t disturb you further; we’ll meet again if fate allows.”

Soon, Lin Yi’s entire platinum-grade equipment set was packaged and handed to him.

Li Qianye also escorted Lin Yi out of the underground instance of the Imperial Capital Education Bureau.

Walking out the doors of the Education Bureau building.

Lin Yi saw a scene of resplendent and bustling urban neon lights.

This is the Imperial Capital.

The dreamland for countless Da Xia people.

Also, the city of progress for the entire Blue Star Human Race civilization!

Truly magnificent and grand!

However, Lin Yi wasn’t really interested in this city, let alone feeling any sense of belonging.

It was already late at night.

He’d been away from home for two full days.

”Feeling homesick?”

A familiar voice came.

Lin Yi followed the voice and saw Li Yuanjing standing beside a luxury car, smiling at him.

”Come on, get in.”

Li Yuanjing gestured for Lin Yi to come over.

Lin Yi got in, sitting with Li Yuanjing in the back seat, as the luxury car started slowly.

In the neon sky of the Xia Imperial Capital, they merged into the flow of traffic.

Relaxing music played in the car, and Lin Yi felt an unprecedented sense of ease.

Though the five rounds of exams were relatively easy for Lin Yi.

They nonetheless required high mental concentration.

Now that everything had ended, Lin Yi immediately felt a bit tired.

”It’ll take quite some time to get back to Dongjiang now, especially if you want to return to Jiangcheng. By the time we get to Tianhai, the standard Teleportation Hall will have stopped operating, and you’ll have to switch to the underground train to go home.”

”So, I’ve booked a suite for you at the Imperial Capital Hotel. Rest for the night, and head back tomorrow.”

”If you want to explore the Imperial Capital, I can show you around. I often come here for meetings, so I’m quite familiar.”

Lin Yi shook his head and yawned, ”No need, Mr. Li, I’m a bit tired and don’t feel like exploring, thank you for taking care of the hotel arrangements.”

Li Yuanjing: ”Alright then, straight to the hotel.”

This was directed to the driver in the front.

Then, the two of them fell into a silence for a while.

”About Xiaorui...”

Li Yuanjing seemed to have made up his mind, just about to speak when Lin Yi said, ”Mr. Li, I just achieved first place in the national college entrance exams.”

”There’s no need for you to feel a heavy burden in your heart.”

”During the exams, I had some friction with your son and ended up opposing him, but it was unavoidable. I’m not a petty person either, so there’s no need for you to apologize on his behalf.”

Li Yuanjing, hearing this,

Opened his mouth, but ended up with a bitter smile, ”If only he were half as mature and sensible as you are. I won’t say more, but Mr. Li wishes you a bright future!”

Just as Li Yuanjing finished speaking.

The driver in front let out an exclamation, ”Dear leaders, I specifically chose a spacious avenue. Haha, you should look outside; the national results of the Da Xia’s college entrance exams have been released!”

Upon hearing this, both Li Yuanjing and Lin Yi perked up.

They looked outside the window.

In the night sky, a golden scroll slowly unfurled!
