I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 53: Chapter 53: The Final Provincial Exam Round! Outrageous Difficulty!

Boom!

Li Zerui looked at the name on the leaderboard.

He had misfired again.

But it didn’t matter anymore.

Amidst the smoke and dust, he ceased fire.

The heavy breathing and the sweat continuously dripping down hinted he was nearing his limit.

This half-hour of high-intensity endurance combat.

He was truly almost at his breaking point.

But what truly crushed him was still that name.

Lin Yi...

For a long time, perhaps, this name will be a demon lurking in his heart...!

[Time’s up!!]

[The third round of testing is over!]

The half-hour test officially came to an end.

The third round concluded.

This round’s score was double that of the previous two rounds.

Because in most scenarios, super endurance reflects the high-level skills of a damage-oriented player.

The leaderboard refreshed once again.

The total points from all three rounds were summed up.

Once again causing a major reshuffle in every position on the leaderboard.

This meant that most players certainly had strengths and weaknesses.

There were definitely trade-offs between burst and endurance.

This highlighted how overpowering the legendary class was.

Li Zerui and Qi Xia Ying, besides Lin Yi, were the ones who remained firmly in the top two of the top three.

At the examination center, on the main seat.

Li Yuanjing unintentionally straightened his back.

His eyes kept glancing at the surveillance cameras around the hall.

Because the surveillance footage on their side had already been shared with the Imperial Capital through the messaging Spirit Crystal.

Countless high-ranking eyes were watching them now.

Of course, Li Yuanjing knew that Lin Yi was the main protagonist this time, and he was just a backdrop.

Yet, knowing the difficulty of the fourth round, he couldn’t help but silently cheer for Lin Yi in his heart.

Go for it, kid!

Get through this round and you’ll be the provincial champion, eligible to participate in the fifth round!

The prior exam notice Lin Yi received only mentioned that those performing outstandingly in the first four rounds could advance to the fifth round, but it didn’t explain in detail.

In reality, clearing the first four rounds meant the provincial competition was over.

The provincial ranking was determined.

And those who qualified for the fifth round would participate in the national competition!

After the fifth round, adding the total score from the first four rounds, this would be the Xia’s national ranking for the college entrance exam!

[Attention all candidates!]

[The fourth round of testing will begin in 30 seconds!]

[Now, the rules for this round will be announced!]

A prompt sounded in the minds of all candidates who chose the hell difficulty!

Li Zerui, Qi Xia Ying, and the others’ expressions changed!

Bear in mind, the third round had just ended!

They were all nearly exhausted!

The mental and physical fatigue was immense!

For those like Lan Ruoyi and Qi Xia Ying, who needed Mana to cast skills, this was a massive blow!

As they were now almost out of Mana!

Without relying on Alchemy Potions and consuming potions, it would take at least ten minutes to replenish fully!

Yet, there was no rest between the third and fourth rounds!!

”It’s too cruel...”

”Even I, having gone through this, feel this difficulty is utterly insane!”

”Candidates not in hell difficulty have a 10-minute break to adjust and relax, but those in hell difficulty do not!”

”The transition between the third and fourth rounds is practically seamless!”

In the examination center, other than Li Yuanjing, the deputy director who knew the Xia Education Bureau’s high officials were watching the broadcast at this moment, others were not tense.

Instead, they began to chatter.

Obviously, a few among them had experienced the torment of hell difficulty!

In the instance dungeon.

The rules for the fourth round were slowly revealed by the system.

[This round of testing will assess your comprehensive abilities!]

[In 20 seconds, a Goblin King will spawn in front of you, with attributes: 50,000 health, 1,000 armor, and 1,000 magic resistance.]

[This monster will not attack but will continuously summon his Royal Guard to attack you.]

[The Goblin Royal Guard consists of four different professional monsters: Warrior, Mage, Archer, and Assassin.]

[Different professions of the Goblin Royal Guard have different skills, and these guard monsters will unleash numerous high-damage skills that you must dodge using movement skills and nimble footwork.]

[The time limit for this round is 10 minutes, and your life value will not drop to zero during this period. Try to dodge skills while attacking the Goblin King amidst the siege of the Goblin Royal Guard monsters.]

[Upon killing the Goblin King, your points for this round will be awarded based on the percentage of your remaining life value.]

After hearing the rules.

Lin Yi raised an eyebrow.

This exam round was finally closer to a real combat situation.

Not only did it test the burst output and endurance of all players but also their mobility and adaptability.

Interesting.

The 20 seconds passed in the blink of an eye.

[The fourth-round exam begins!]

As the system announced the start.

For all candidates who chose hell difficulty, a crown-wearing, obese, grotesque Goblin monster appeared before them.

As soon as the monster appeared, it began to scream loudly.

Speaking in a language completely incomprehensible to humans.

In the next moment, three or four elite Goblins clad in armor and with bulky limbs spawned.

In addition, Goblin elites wielding Magic Staffs and longbows also appeared together.

In an instant, the Goblin King was surrounded by over a dozen elite monsters of various forms!

Lan Ruoyi gritted her teeth.

Forcing herself to run.

Because if she didn’t run, the spot she stood in was instantly filled with seven to eight sharp arrows!

The attack frequency of the Goblin Royal Guard was incredibly fast!

And they threw out their skills as if they cost nothing!

The greatest threat lay with the Royal Guard Mages.

The Ice Attribute’s Frost Arrow, the Fire Attribute’s Flame Burst Skill, the Wind Attribute’s Nine Consecutive Wind Blades, and finally, the Earth Element’s Quicksand Skill.

Combining these four-element magic turned the area around the Goblin King into an absolute dead zone!

Skills rained densely.

The ground below suddenly transformed into quicksand, ensnaring your ankles.

Slowing you down until it eventually becomes a bind!

Under such conditions, you needed to output against the Goblin King.

Lan Ruoyi felt a deep sense of despair rise within her!

Splat!

To her further shock, just as she dodged the arrow rain and various spells in the next instant.

A small, thin black Goblin suddenly appeared from the shadows.

Stabbing right into her back.

-314! (Critical Strike!)

Lan Ruoyi immediately felt a stabbing pain!

She hadn’t noticed the Goblin King summon Assassins to its Royal Guard, and she subconsciously forgot this fact.

In reality, the Assassins in the Goblin Royal Guard entered stealth right after being summoned by the Goblin King.

Disappearing from Lan Ruoyi’s sight.
