I Can Gain One Skill Point Per Second

Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Nightmare Start, Lin You’s Debut!

Seeing that no one continued to ask questions, Li Qianye continued to explain the exam rules.

”After entering the instance, in the initial area, you will receive a dedicated Spirit Crystal Bracelet.”

”Every hour, the bracelet will refresh in real-time the points leaderboard of everyone in the current instance, and it will mark the location of the top ten candidates on the leaderboard.”

Upon hearing this.

Most people looked visibly changed.

Indeed, Li Qianye’s next words made everyone realize that this fifth round was a kill-or-be-killed game!

”Besides earning points by killing monsters, defeating other candidates also earns you points!”

”The bracelet given to you has a survival function; if you encounter an undefeatable monster or a life-threatening crisis in the instance, press the red button on the side of the bracelet, and you will be teleported out of the instance.”

”Meanwhile, this also declares your failure in this round of testing, and your points will be reset to zero.”

”However, considering the complexity of the abyss instance and unexpected situations, as well as the casualties over the years, please all candidates sign a life-and-death contract.”

”Any death or major disability occurring during the test is your own choice and has nothing to do with the entire test committee!”

Just after Li Qianye finished speaking.

A group of uniformed examiners with relevant IDs entered the scene.

They distributed a Death Contract to each candidate present.

This procedure made all the candidates tense.

This meant that the fifth round of the test they were participating in was serious!

Unlike previous rounds!

There was indeed a possibility they might die!

However, when Lin Yi finished signing his name on the Death Contract.

He discovered that among the more than three hundred candidates in the examination venue, not a single one chose to forfeit at this step.

It makes sense.

Presumably, their families and the test facilitators who brought them had told them about the dangers of the fifth round of testing.

If they really wanted to give up, they probably wouldn’t have come to the Imperial Capital.

After Li Qianye, the chief examiner, confirmed that everyone’s Death Contract had been submitted and activated, he declared loudly, ”Exam time begins!”

”Please all candidates enter the testing instance!”

As soon as he finished speaking, a space rift appeared in the center of the circular underground space.

The thick and dangerous aura of the abyss surged out.

The light curtain of the instance flickered with a dangerous purple-red evil glow, formidable in its momentum.

A few minutes later.

All the candidates for the fifth round had entered the instance from the underground waiting space.

The personnel responsible for facilitating the test were also invited into a large auditorium to observe the specific conditions of all the candidates within the instance.

Meanwhile.

Li Qianye, the chief examiner, after arranging for all the candidates to enter the instance.

Took the elevator upstairs, reported the situation to the true power core high-ranking officials of Xia, and then returned to his office, activated the screen projection, and began watching the situation within the instance.

This is his duty, and according to the instructions from the high level, he needs to broadcast the live situation of the fifth round test within the instance.

”Boss, take a break.”

”According to past tradition, at this point in time, it’s almost impossible for any fighting to break out just after entering.”

”It takes half a day to reach a fever pitch.”

Li Qianye’s subordinates advised.

They spared no effort for this fifth round test.

Especially Li Qianye himself, who hadn’t closed his eyes for days.

Li Qianye shook his head: ”At this point in time, most should indeed be familiarizing themselves with the instance environment and gathering monster intel.”

”And according to past tradition, some will choose not to kill monsters at all but to wait until the last few hours of the instance time limit to target those on the leaderboard and earn points through looting.”

”But don’t forget.”

”Every year, a few special unlucky ones appear.”

With Li Qianye’s words.

A few sharp-minded people immediately realized what Li Qianye meant.

”Boss, are you saying that upon entering they are transported next to a very strong monster, unable to hide, only to face it?”

Li Qianye nodded.

”Uh! Boss! Seems like you were spot on; there really seems to be an unlucky one who refreshed next to the nest of the Snow Mountain Zone leader, the Golden-Winged Roc King!”

The Spirit Crystal Bracelets worn by all candidates not only provide information to these candidates within the instance.

They are actually integrated communicators.

Capable of real-time transmission of the wearer’s current area coordinates within the instance and live broadcast the scene around the wearer.

At this moment, the examiner responsible for collecting the area coordinates of more than three hundred candidates within the instance suddenly exclaimed, making Li Qianye instantly feel invigorated!

It’s here!

This scenario doesn’t happen every year, but when it does, it often means extremely heavy casualties!

Li Qianye pushed through fatigue, hurriedly ordered: ”Immediately lock on that candidate, project their real-time footage.”

”Call the special rescue team within the instance, head to the Snow Mountain Zone for rescue, prepare a second-hand plan!”

Although when explaining the rules, Li Qianye had mentioned the difficulty of this abyss instance and asked everyone to sign a life-and-death contract.

But they can’t really stand by and watch without rescuing.

Such a crisis definitely needs the initiation of related rescue procedures just in case.

The next moment, the projection screen appeared.

Li Qianye’s eyes narrowed.

”It’s him?”

On the big screen, the person who refreshed and was transported to the mountain top, instantly shivering with cold, was Lin Yi.

Li Qianye hadn’t forgotten that the first person to see through his disguise during their appearance was this kid on the big screen.

In the screen, Lin Yi clearly hadn’t expected to be transported to this ghostly place just upon entering the instance.

The area he was in at that moment was the northern high mountain zone of the Noah Ruins.

The Noah Ruins can be divided into five main zones.

The extreme cold high mountain zone in the north.

The Desert Zone in the west.

The Swamp Zone in the south, the Hilly Zone in the east.

And the Noah’s Wreckage Zone in the center.

Which zone had the most extreme weather? None other than the Desert Zone and High Mountain Zone.

Those who refresh in these two zones are the unlucky ones.

As for someone like Lin Yi, refreshing directly next to a king-tier boss’s nest, is truly the ”combat aircraft” of unluckiest ones.

”Screech——!!!!!!!!!”

It seemed to sense the presence of a human.

The next moment, an extremely loud cry rang out.

The sound waves were so large that Lin Yi had to cover his ears.

Then, a wild wind drew up the sky full of flying snow from the cliff.

Before Lin Yi’s eyes, a terrifying golden roc with feathers all over its body shimmering in a golden hue, a wingspan over ten meters, its claws lightly gripping enough to crush rock, flapped its wings.

Flying out from the huge nest on the peak.

Its fierce and sharp eagle eyes stared fixedly at Lin Yi, seemingly ready to swoop down and tear him apart any moment!

On the other side, Lin Yi in the screen looked relatively calm.

A swirl of space distorted beside him.

The next moment, a slender figure clad in pitch-black knight armor appeared.

Lin You was summoned by Lin Yi.

Seeing the fierce roc in the sky, Lin You’s gaze was calm like water, as the Elegy of the Soul was drawn, she stood in front of Lin Yi, brimming with fighting spirit!
