Martial Arts: I Have Diligence Reward System

Chapter 75: Chapter 69: Washbone Cost Performance

Though his misunderstanding about his intelligence has been resolved, Su Yue still decided to keep a low profile.

Xiong Taiguang once said that a martial artist should leave themselves a trump card to save their life.

Moreover, there’s a certain kind of coolness that emanates silently from reserved men, much like an unstoppable sandstorm, which most girls can’t resist.

Flower Bear is loyal and tight-lipped, he probably wouldn’t spread rumors.

Besides, in a few months, I’ll be leaving here, so Flower Bear’s gossip wouldn’t matter much.

Daybreak has arrived.

Liao Ping and the others continued their sparring.

During this period, others have made progress too, enough for Su Yue to feel a bit envious.

These people are at 9 cards, 10 cards. Accumulating Qi Blood is still relatively easy for them, unlike myself, thoroughly refined into a stubborn rock, squeezing more out is hard.

Last night, Su Yue already found Sun Zhiwei and stated his intention to participate in the martial arts competition.

But Sun Zhiwei is just one of the instructors, his duty is to arrange sparring and recovery from injuries, he can’t make decisions.

Soon afterward, Sun Zhiwei contacted Dai Yuegui to come over.

There’s no choice, such an outstanding seedling like Su Yue, Sun Zhiwei is seeing for the first time.

In just a month, he surpassed the top of the sparring list and even created an astonishing record, continuing further really holds no meaning.

It just happened by chance.

Dai Yuegui was coincidentally guiding strength training in a nearby city.

Sun Zhiwei led Su Yue to a private training ground, waiting for the chief officer.

In the afternoon, Dai Yuegui arrived.

”The Education Bureau has a regulation that to enjoy the educational benefits of Cengyan City and train freely, your Qi Blood value must reach 20 cards.”

Dai Yuegui didn’t block Su Yue, he handled affairs matter-of-factly.

The allocation from the Cengyan City Education Bureau is determined by several factors:

1. The number of admissions to the Four Major Martial Arts Academies and the Warring States Military Academy.

2. The number of admissions to A-category Wuda.

3. The number of admissions to B-category Wuda.

Among these, the first condition is the most important.

If a student in the Potential Class truly reaches 20 card Qi Blood, they can receive substantial subsidies while training themselves.

But below 20 cards, they don’t qualify for this.

Receiving subsidies means adhering to the rules of the Potential Class; whether you’re inexplicably beaten or tossed into the martial contest ring, you can’t complain.

Even those from wealthy families, like Liao Ping and Liao Ji, must wait until they reach 20 cards before the Potential Class allows them to train on their own.

Wanting to attend the college entrance exams, the Potential Class is a necessary transition; even if you don’t fancy these resources, you must come.

But ordinary affluent families wouldn’t reject the Potential Class.

After all, no private tutor can replace the competitive environment of a school. In terms of subsidy offerings in pills and money, wealthy families have an advantage.

Just like Liao Ping.

In just a month, this guy was passively taking hits, but his progress almost caught up to Su Yue.

No choice.

While others have one Qi Blood Pill a week, Liao Ping has one a day.

”I’ll give it a try.”

Su Yue nodded.

A 20-card Qi Blood shouldn’t be an issue.

”This detector, though not as precise as the exam version, it’s good enough.”

Dai Yuegui took out a tester.

Su Yue did not waste any words and started the test directly.

cards!

cards!

cards!

cards!

cards!

Without any waves, with the beeping of the Qi Blood tester, he reached the benchmark line.

Actually, Su Yue could try to challenge further, but he felt it was unnecessary and didn’t have much confidence.

A 21-card success rate might be about 10%, but Su Yue thought it unnecessary to strive now.

”You have two choices now:

”First, you can find a mentor to help you complete sealing. After sealing, you can grasp Qi Blood more easily, and your training speed will be much faster than it is now.

”Second, continue to accumulate Qi Blood value, reaching 30 cards before sealing, and then perform bone washing. But you should know, going beyond 20 cards as an unsealed martial artist, your training speed is ten times slower than others.”

Dai Yuegui looked at Su Yue and solemnly asked.

Su Yue’s joint exam score was 18 cards.

In just a month, he had reached 20 cards, simply terrifying.

You must know that going from 18 to 20 cards is a distinctly different concept from going from 14 to 16 cards.

This kind of training speed is astonishing.

”Let me interrupt for a second.

”Su Yue, if you aspire to become a Sixth-Grade Grandmaster or higher, you can choose to perform bone washing.

”But at the same time, you must understand, within all Earth martial artists, Grandmaster-level ones are rare beyond belief.

”Talent, luck, opportunity—becoming a Grandmaster is like climbing to the heavens.

”In the entire Renqing Province, there are only a few Governors and one General that are Grandmasters, the ratio of one in a hundred thousand; you can imagine its difficulty.

”If you seal now and continue diligent training, by the time of the college entrance exam, you might reach the power level of a Second-Grade Martial Artist, which is the level of many B-category Wuda graduates.

”While performing bone washing puts you at the difficulty level of a Second-Grade Martial Artist, continuing as an unsealed martial artist unsuccessfully, undermining you. Without reaching Grandmaster, bone washing is meaningless.”

Sun Zhiwei advised on the side.

”Sun Zhiwei’s words are correct, I am now Fourth-Grade, if I’m lucky in this life, I might break through to Fifth-Grade, but Sixth-Grade Grandmaster, there is no hope in this lifetime.

”You imagine Grandmaster isn’t as simple as that; if I were you, I’d choose to seal now.

”With the strength of a Second-Grade Martial Artist, you might join the Four Major during freshman year, apply for the student council, and even have more self-preservation capability on the Wet Realm Battlefield.

”Also, martial artists who haven’t performed bone washing aren’t entirely without chances of becoming Grandmasters, but it’s just harder.

”Martial Realm has conducted comprehensive analysis, and the cost-effectiveness of bone washing is lower than sealing.

”Of course, you still have nearly a year; you can train up to 30 cards of Qi Blood and perform bone washing; the choice is yours.”

Dai Yuegui further added.

”My previous teacher said, know when to advance and retreat, understand to be content, don’t aim too high.”

”The Wet Realm Battlefield is perilous everywhere; any martial artist might lose their life anytime, strengthening your present strength is the way to survival. I also know that sealing is cost-effective, nonetheless the young often aim too high.”

”I’m young, I naturally have this flaw.

”Give up sealing, perform bone washing.”

Calmly, Su Yue nodded.

What a joke.

Young Hero Su, my bones are impressive and unmatched, I’m a prodigy in martial arts, the future to pacify the Wet Realm, and maintain Earth’s peace will rely on me, can I walk an ordinary path?

If possible, I’d even like to try experiencing the platinum bone elephant and the glamour of the Thunder King.

Dai Yuegui and the others chuckled; Su Yue’s choice did not surprise them.

”Su Yue, come find me when you reach 30 cards.

”Bone washing requires an expensive liquid, each bottle costing around 1.5 million, and it easily fails, typically requiring at least three bottles.

”The money you earn as a punching bag at the martial contest venue, I’ve saved it for you, enough to buy Bone-Washing Water. If it’s insufficient, I’ll supplement from my salary for you.

”Moreover, you now have financial freedom; starting tomorrow, the money you earn from martial contests can be entirely at your own discretion.”

Dai Yuegui patted Su Yue’s shoulder and turned to leave.

”1.5 million? Need to prepare 3 bottles? Isn’t that 4.5 million!”

Su Yue was shocked, his heart was beating wildly.

A big house lost!

”Instructor, how much did I earn this month?”

Su Yue asked again.

”A total of 1.69 million.”

Sun Zhiwei grinned.

”What, I earned 1.69 million this month?”

Su Yue himself was shocked.

”Young Hero, you spent a month clearing the leaderboard, which would’ve been someone else’s effort over a year and a half.”

”This 1.69 million is enough for one bottle of Bone-Washing Water.”

”Unfortunately, your value has increased, but in the future, the martial artists wishing to hire you are almost gone; Flower Bear was simply looking after you.”

Sun Zhiwei said.

”Why?”

Su Yue didn’t understand, his high value is obviously a good thing for sparring.

”Martial artists need to beat sparring partners to hone their punches; although sparring partners can dodge, this is regarded as the skill of the punching bags, martial artists don’t care.”

”But they’ve studied you. You can even dodge Flower Bear’s punches; who would still seek you?”

”To hit you and to dodge a punch are both 30 dollars. Would martial artists be crazy to find a punching bag that dodges every punch, wouldn’t they feel shame?”

Sun Zhiwei chuckled.

Such an odd sparring partner as Su Yue is rare in the whole martial contest venue.
