Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 685: Maison de Lune.

Nikolai hugged Nikita’s waist, pulling her tight while she leaned slightly forward and clamped the fuel tank with her muscular thighs. Her bike’s rumbling engine howled, sending subtle vibrations through his thighs as it sped through the dark, winding streets of S-City.

Tonight, Nikita chose everything.

From the restaurant to their clothing.

He enjoyed the sight of her buttocks spreading slightly as she sat on the bike. Her pseudo-biking attire emphasised every curve of her body to his delight.

’Hm?’

Though he thought they might eat at the familiar restaurant in the eastern district, to his surprise, she leaned to the right, bending the bike onto the opposite route.

She took the exit leading to the western district.

An area filled with more classy and elegant restaurants and hotels.

Brilliant lights flashed as the bike soared through the empty streets, with only a handful of people walking along the sidewalk who turned to glance at the bright red sport-type motorcycle.

”Where are we going?!” He shouted, trying to overcome the whistling wind through his jet-black helmet.

What he didn’t know was that these expensive helmets had both a microphone and a digital transmitter linking them, so his shout blared from the helmet in front of him.

”Haa... calm down, can’t you hear me?” Nikita sighed before pushing her hips back, rubbing her buttocks against his crotch.

’Oh!?’

Nikita’s voice came from both sides, as if wrapping around his head.

”Sorry, I didn’t realise...”

He couldn’t help but blush, ashamed that he had ignored the constant sound of Nikita’s breathing transmitting through these speakers, and he still didn’t realise. It wasn’t just his wife’s voice that leaked from the speakers; they also let in sounds from outside, thanks to ambient-friendly microphones.

To help avoid accidents and raise awareness.

”It’s fine, we’re almost there, baby.”

Her voice became brighter the more they spoke.

The faint jump in her breath as she revved the engine, boosting their speed.

”Let’s go~~~”

Her voice sounded with a bright squeak.

Their bike shot through the slightly wet streets, leaving a trail of neon red light and transforming the world into a blur of light and colour.

A faint pressure tightened around his body as their speed climbed.

Yet he couldn’t help but love this feeling.

Nikolai owned his own bike. But somehow, when sitting behind Nikita, he found himself able to enjoy it much more easily.

...

Their journey felt like a lifetime, but ended far too soon.

Skrrrt!

The squeak of tyres echoed within the helmet as the bike came to a halt.

”We’re here.”

Nikita slowly removed her helmet, revealing her silky, white hair. It was clear she’d spent a long time styling it into a layered lob with soft texture, face-framing pieces, and loose waves.

He couldn’t even imagine how long it took to make it perfect.

”W-What?” She cocked her hair to the side, eyes darting across his face as if worried something went wrong.

”Nothing, you just look exceptionally beautiful tonight.”

He gently lifted her sidelocks and stroked through the soft hairs, intending to quell her worries. The faint scent of cherry leaked from her neckline as she tucked her hair back, letting him stroke her cheek.

”I-Idiot... what’s with the sweet talk? Hmph... we’re not even in bed yet. Hehe.”

She took his hand with a smile, dragging him towards the restaurant’s entrance, the sign written in a foreign language.

Maison de Lune.

Once the pair entered the hallway, a smartly dressed man and woman stood behind an old-fashioned wooden desk. The pair inclined their heads in unison as if they’d practised this thousands of times, their movements both precise and fluid.

First, the male raised his hand in a welcoming gesture.

”Good evening, and welcome to Maison de la Lune. May I confirm your reservation?”

”A-Ah, it’s Volkov, Nikita Volkov.”

When Nikolai peeked at her face with a smirk, Nikita’s cheeks flushed bright red. They hadn’t changed their names because of the nature of marriage in werewolf clans. It was normally fine to keep their family name... but this cute action made him smile.

The male glanced at her left hand, then briefly flipped through the ledger with a smile.

After he tapped the ledger, the woman spoke in a soft, attentive voice that felt a little more personal and warmer.

”Thank you, madam. We have prepared a private course for you. We’ve arranged the Moonlight Suite as requested.”

The woman turned towards both of them before stepping towards the wooden doors. Afterwards, the male shifted to the centre of the booth and greeted them. ”If you would follow us, we’ll ensure everything proceeds at your pace this evening.”

After the pair stepped out from the desk, another set soon took their place.

The male host stepped from behind the desk, one hand subtly extended, the other tucked behind his back as he invited them.

”This way, please.”

”Of course.”

”Mhm, isn’t this fun, baby?” Nikita hooked Nikolai’s arm, her face beaming.

He couldn’t help but admire his wife’s taste, though he rarely ate French cuisine; this was something quite amazing.

’The service is top-notch.’

The female hostess moved slightly behind and to the side of Nikita, appearing close enough to assist her if something went wrong or she needed something. But also with enough distance to give them private space.

Nikolai sniffed the air, his senses overwhelmed with a flavour that sent tingles down his spine.

They led them down a narrow, softly lit corridor. The lightning gradually dimmed as they left the entrance, which boosted the atmosphere. Old-fashioned sconces cast a warm amber glow across the dark wooden panels, and the sound from the main dining room faded with each step.

Each step sank into the thick runner carpet, which absorbed noise.

Once leaving the main dining room, the faint scent of something between sandalwood and polished oak flowed with a trace of sweet floral fragrance.

At the end of the corridor, the host paused before a discreet door, with no massive sign or evident VIP status, just a small engraved plate in beautiful handwriting.

Lune Privée

The male opened the door smoothly, stepping aside to allow Nikolai and Nikita to step inside. From behind, the female gently spoke in a whisper.

”Your evening has been prepared for you. Please enjoy.”

’Wow.’

He could feel Nikita’s hand squeezing him tightly the moment they stepped inside, and the lighting immediately softened to a low golden hue.

At the centre of the room sat a single round table, dressed in crisp white linen. The two chairs sat slightly closer than at a normal table, clearly a subtle choice, not an accidental mistake.

On the table, a thin candle illuminated the room within a glass cylinder, its flame steady, not flickering wildly. Polished silver tableware sat neatly, arranged, with pristine crystal glassware that caught the light with a faint sparkle.

A beautiful bouquet of deep red roses wrapped around the candle and fixture, not high enough to catch the flame or block eye contact.

Nikolai’s eyes trailed across the dark wooden walls with matte panels. He closed his eyes, listening to the atmosphere, unable to hear anything but the faint flicker of the candle and Nikita’s pounding heart.

As they stepped inside, the host just enough pulled back Nikita’s chair, then, a moment later, pulled Nikolai’s out.

”Your course will begin shortly. If you require anything, please don’t hesitate.”

”We hope your evening is... memorable.”

The two hosts withdrew without turning their backs or making abrupt movements, before closing the door behind them with a soft, cushioned tap.

Inside the room alone, the sound from outside vanished, while Nikita bounced up and down with her excitement growing. She soon took pictures of the table, the candles, and the roses, before looking up at Nikolai, who gently stepped behind her and helped her sit down.

”You look happy, Kita.”

”Of course I am!”

Nikita’s face beamed back at him as she shifted her hips, slowly adjusting herself before peeking up at him, as if asking him to push her in.

”Such a needly little wolf, huh...”

”Hmmm~ then why do you look so happy?”

He gently pushed her chair enough to leave a small gap between her stomach and the table, then chuckled to himself. ”Because I get to enjoy a date with the prettiest wolf in the Fenrir clan.” Nikolai then leaned towards her and gently pecked her cheeks.

”Y-You!”

She complained, but he just laughed at her, sitting in his seat while watching her from the other side of the small table.

”Well, you’re not bad yourself, heh.” Under the table, he felt a sudden tap before glancing to see Nikita stroking along his leg with her feet.

However, a moment later, the door clicked, with the female host stepping inside with a small cart carrying their first dish.

”Please enjoy this First Spark carefully selected by the chef, it is a citrus-cured scallop, with yuzu gel and micro herbs.”

Nikolal swallowed the saliva flooding his throat as the thick scent of citrus and the ocean spread from the dish. It was a beautiful white scallop with faint green and yellow hues dancing around it on the plate.

”Thank you.”

He peeked at Nikita, unable to stop himself from laughing, as a bit of drool leaked from the corner of her lips.

’I forgot she loves fish... hahahaha.’

The pair slowly sank their cutlery into the small scallops, which flaked apart in a soft, succulent manner before taking a bite.

A bright, clean taste flowed from the fish, before the slightly sweet and sharp tang of the citrus and herbs lifted the flavour.

Nikolai watched as Nikita swallowed a whole scallop as if drinking it. Unable to stop the growing warmth in his chest, he gently spooned half of his onto her plate.

”Here, have mine.”

’God, I love this woman...’

Somehow, he had a feeling this might be the best date of his life.
