Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 675: Rejuvenation of the Nekomata Clan

Though he would love nothing more than to remain with his two young lovers and their new children, it was impossible. Not only did Miyu and Reina enter labour, but their two wives, as if planned together, entered several hours after.

’They’re so exhausted.’

He gently brushed the damp, stray hairs clinging to the two women, sleeping against his chest. His chest filled with a tight heaviness as he lifted and placed them on either side of the best one by one.

A pair of nurses and the two older midwives waved at him, while the two incubators for the babies lay quietly, the babies sleeping in their mothers’ arms.

”Hey, loverboy, what name did she settle on?” Akane asked while taking the little pup from Reina’s arms, nuzzling her soft button nose, while peeking at him from the corner of her eyes.

”Yuzuha.”

The rough werewolf’s eyes widened before she nodded, giving a wry smile to the sleeping Reina. ”This girl, she’s really too cute.” Akane then placed Yuzuha down with all the care of a prized treasure. ”Thank you for staying with them both for so long. I know you’re extremely busy, Master.”

It was the first time she dropped her sharp, gangster-like accent.

”The pleasure is mine, thank you for taking care of my beloved wives and their daughters.”

Nikolai didn’t notice the subtle wrinkle in both Miyu and Reina’s brows the moment he called them his wives, as the two women’s lips naturally curled into vibrant smiles.

Chisa, the slightly neat and quiet midwife, then glanced at him expectantly; he almost thought her eyes might shoot lasers at him.

”This little angel is called Suzune. I truly appreciate your support for Miyu, and I look forward to your continued efforts on Suzune’s behalf. Chisa.”

Nikola watched Suzune’s little nose twitch as she sniffed the maid’s fingers as she lifted her, and found it amusing. After becoming a father, he found himself observing the smallest changes in life and the women around him.

He enjoyed that Viktoria hated carrots, while Elizabeth loved them but hated peas and green vegetables. Then he quietly watched as they conned and tricked Nikita into letting them exchange them.

If she said no, the girls would glance at each other, and, like magic, ten minutes later, the amount of carrots and greens on their plates would change. As if the trio had a mysterious conversation with their eyes.

With Nikita oblivious, or playing stupid.

’Though they learned she’d been sneaking carrots and peas into the mash... and other food to make up for the ones they switched.’

He climbed off the bed, glancing at the exhausted woman, smiling beautifully, and touched his chest, feeling the delightful warmth and weight of his guilt churning inside as they kept each other in balance while orbiting his chest.

”Phew, Thanks for everything.”

As the Patriarch, his words carried more weight than those of a normal father. But at times like this, Nikolai tried to be a father before he was their Master.

Thus, many of the nurses and doctors showed a friendlier side whenever he came to the hospital, whereas the offices and training areas were stiff.

”Y-Yes, Patriarch!”

One of the younger nurses replied, stuttering, as the hydraulic hiss of the doors closed behind him.

The hospital wing appeared much colder after leaving the hot, steamy room where his two new children enjoyed the optimal atmosphere.

’It’s cold, but I like it.’

His steps echoed through the empty hallways as if he’d entered some strange dimension where only he existed.

He subconsciously pursed his lips and began humming.

~~~
Ten minutes later, he came to a large steel door.
”Oh, wow, they really improved security.”
[Warning!]
[Commencing Iris scan]
Upon the door, he found various codewords and text, but when he leaned close to the glass window, a flash of red light scanned his iris.
[Confirmation of Iris Scan Complete]
[Identification Confirmed: Nikolai Báthory Volkov - SSS GRADE clearance.]
Wooosh!
The doors parted slowly with a low hum, and a cold wind flowed from within, sending chills down Nikolai’s spine. Inside was another room with an identical titanium door and small nozzles along the walls.
”Well, it appears they’re not pouring my money into the drain in vain.”
He mused while stepping inside as the door sealed behind him, locking him between two massive doors at least half a metre thick.
”Patriarch, please wait while we activate the sterilisation process.”
”Mhm, no problem.”
”Please stand on the two white indicators.”
”Hm?”
Nikolai glanced at the floor and saw two large bootprints. He stood in place, shirtless, with eyes closed and braced himself for the burst of cold mist.
’This reminds me of old sci-fi movies...’
His lips curled into a smile.
”Please wait, while the process finishes, Patriarch.”
He could hear the nervous tremble in her voice, and enjoyed the situation as a hiss of cold air blew across his face, then a hot jet followed like he was being blasted by a hair drier on max heat.
The process alternated between a faintly wet solution, a hot jet of air, and then a cooling mist that enveloped his entire body.
”Thank you for your patience, Lord Patriarch!”
The girl practically shouted over the microphone as the doors opened.
Nikolai stood in silence.
He was genuinely shocked.
It was a completely different world.
The outer hospital reminded him of an abandoned hospital after an apocalyptic event, while inside, hundreds of werewolves, vampires and other races rushed around with small devices, tablets and clipboards with digital screens.
Each of them glanced his way; some gasped, others nodded, or called his name. It was a rather startling experience.
He’d never imagined the small hospital ward would become such a grand, scientific research hub in the space of a few months.
’Is it Sasha and my Aunt’s doing?’
After Nosferatu breached the previous building, he gave his father and aunt full control over the ward’s complete overhaul.
This change was a first for Nikolai.
”Excuse me, Sir Patriarch, are you here to meet the young Mistresses?”
A polite voice came from behind.
When he turned to look at the owner, he found a sensually dressed, mature doctor with curly black hair. Her extremely plump bust almost popped through her white robe as she tilted her head, scanning him with her eyes, examining him just the same.
”I am, and you are?”
Though he could see the badge.
Nikolai felt it was rude to call someone by their name without asking first.
”Pardon my manners, I am Doctor Miranda Cummings, from the gynaecology department.”
”Oh, gynaecology?”
He realised instantly that he couldn’t upset or insult this woman; she was the doctor in charge of his beloved women. It was a vital role and something he couldn’t help but respect, something many men imagine but would shrivel at the truth.
”Thank you for taking care of my wives.”
Miranda’s lips curved, emphasising her plump lips coated in a glossy red sheen.”
”It’s my pleasure, sir, ~” Her eyes slipped down below his belt, the tight flimsy pants unable to hide his power level as she nibbled the tip of her pen. ”Allow me to bring you to Lady Risa; her current state is a little... dangerous.”
’Dangerous?’
His heart thumped, knowing the issue with his children being hungry little imps.
The amount of blood he spent just for Yuzu and Suzu already left him a little tried, but the mainline of children carried an even stronger bloodline.
He took a breath and first asked. ”Is there anywhere to get a meal here. I think I’m going to need to eat a lot of meat and iron-rich foods before the end of the day.”
”Of course, Sir. Just let me guide you. Here~ this way.”
Miranda stepped ahead of him, her hips swaying subtly at first, but as the pair headed through the halls, he noticed her glance back at him through screens and mirrors, and her hips began to sway more forcefully, like a pendulum.
”How long have you been working for our family?”
”About six years, they helped me complete my degree when I had no money, and considered selling myself... to online fan sites.”
While watching the curvy apple-shaped mass jiggle, he glimpsed her smile growing in the flicker of steel above.
”Really? Well, I am glad you managed to complete your degree.”
”Mhm, it’s all thanks to you, Sir. If the old Master didn’t think about you at the moment we met, I might’ve never been able to walk with my head high again.”
Her deep voice sounded extremely smooth when she chuckled; it wasn’t a masculine deep, but a salacious, feminine baritone.
’This woman wants to seduce me, or kill me.’
However, to his pleasant surprise, there wasn’t an attempt on his life, but a troubling task of hiding himself after enjoying the sight a little too much.
”Ahem!” Her cheeks flushed red the moment she turned to show him the canteen area, and glanced down at his growing bulge. ”I-It seems you’ve quite the big appetite, Sir.”
He no longer felt embarrassed or shy about these kinds of things. With ten women constantly sleeping around and knowing he was in the top 0.1% of men for size and shape, there was little need for those emotions.
”Well, I can’t deny I probably trounce all other men in that aspect...”
”That’s quite interesting. I’d very much love the chance to research your abilities... in more detail.” The seductive doctor bit her lips, dragging them slightly, but her eyes soon snapped open, and she gasped. ”A-Ah, forgive me, Sir, let me take you to the VIP section of the cafeteria!”
Nikolai waved his hand and followed her into the restaurant.
Yes, this place couldn’t be called a cafeteria; several dozen chefs were cooking high-level meals, some used scientific machines, others he recognised from international cooking shows. One of them, with an extremely wrinkled forehead, shouted about a raw piece of lamb without sauce.
”Isn’t it amazing? Thanks to your input, we’ve hired many world star chefs who share the highest level of meals and support our work and research without fail.”
’Though the cost is likely astronomical, I’ve heard our research and science department makes triple that figure after the changes...’
”No, the amazing ones are you and your fellows.”
”Oh!?”
Once again, the woman’s cheeks reddened, but this time it was more genuine as she froze for a few seconds before he chuckled. ”Come on, let’s go eat. I have to help rejuvenate the Nekomata and Golden Kitsune clans later today.”
This time, he took the lead.
He headed towards the wrinkled chef’s section, his eyes hungry and belly empty.
