Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1022: Prolonged Mission

From MCʼs Perspective:

A few weeks later,

At nightfall, an airship is smoothly flying through the air towards its destination. They are going to reach the Sand Rock Country in one day.

Swoosh!

I am currently standing on the deck, wearing a dark hoodie. Except for a few crewmembers, everyone was sleeping. However, they were not surprised by my presence.

It is normal for passengers to appear here at night. When they do not sleep enough. So the crew members reasoned that the passenger might be one of these people.

On the other hand, my gaze is fixed in one direction. I was able to gather a wealth of information while traveling for an extended period of time. Including information about the crew team, the Captain, and the Protector.

The Protector appears to have his own cabin. Unless there is a security threat, he will rarely appear outside. All of this information gave me the confidence to walk around the ship at night.

Because of my constant presence, some crew members became accustomed to it. It allowed me to enjoy the quiet nighttime.

But something has changed. I have been getting increasingly restless over the last few days. I am not sure what is going on. If I am being honest, I believe something bad will happen.

It is just one of the reasons why I go outside at night to reflect. Initially, I expected someone to target the airship, similar to my previous tragedy.

But that is not the case. So far, the air ship had not been attacked. They have also gotten close to their destination.

So the problem stems from something else. I could not help but think about past events. I was attacked during the Wizard Heart Competition a few months ago.

This led me to leave the country. After a few adventures, I managed to make a living in the purple city. Which was also short-lived.

I left the area immediately following the purple city attack. I do not want to confront another hostile organization.

So the danger is either coming from the Lawless Country or my own Sand Rock Country. My eyes twinkled. The hostile force failed to kill me during the competition.

It is logical that they are waiting for me. ”Should I contact the academy and ask for help?” I raised my eyebrows in confusion.

I do not contact the academy because I do not trust them. The old dean may be the most important decision-maker in the academy.

But the true powerhouses are Magic Lords, such as the crippled old man. When I thought about the crippled old man. I felt like a lightning bolt struck my brain.

The crippled old man has saved my life several times. I really want to do it without his help. But the constant bad feeling led me to believe otherwise.

It is not wrong to ask for his assistance. The crippled old man can easily get me back to the academy. After gaining some clarity, I made the decision to seek assistance when necessary.

If the situation was not as bad as I imagined. I can handle it on my own. After gathering my thoughts, I returned to the cabin.

...

Capital City:

The following day,

The city was thriving with economic activity. It has been crowded with people since the morning, as it is every day. All stores are open and busy with customers.

For a few weeks, all small and medium-sized businesses have thrived. This is especially true for restaurants and hotels. They are packed with people.

They do not know what drew so many people to the capital. They were aware that something was happening. But they were pleased with the change.

The business owners want things to stay as they are forever. However, they are unaware of the real reason for the change. If they knew, they would be terrified.

The ordinary customers who paid them a visit were not ordinary customers at all. Everyone is a high-ranking wizard. It is just that they have hidden their strength so well that no one can find it.

The Royal Force Hall, The Weapon Palace Academy, and the Dark League are extremely patient. They will not call basic anyone until the task is completed.

As a result, people from the other two academies were able to find accommodation in the capital anonymously.

The crippled old man is disguised as a stall owner near a bookshop not far from the location. His disability has helped him establish a new identity.

He has been here since he left the academy to find Vincent Carey. So far, he has found no trace of Vincent Carey in the Capital. He had also visited the Blue Merchant Company.

However, he discovered that they are unaware of Vincent Careyʼs identity. For the first time, he accepts the deanʼs accusation.

He will confront Vincent Carey about his recklessness when he meets him. That child was surrounded by so many dangers. But he has not contacted the academy yet. He is starting to feel angry as well.

If he had known Vincentʼs current location, he would not have been in this situation. He would make the journey to ensure Vincent Careyʼs safety.

He is currently waiting in the capital, as are the hostile forces.

...

Dark League:

Arika, the old witch, was going through the daily reports as usual. She has been doing this, especially since the plan against Vincent Carey was executed.

She was doing this to get more information about Vincent Carey. However, there was absolutely no information about Vincent Carey.

According to the intelligence, he should have arrived in the capital by now. She is unaware of the reasons for the delay.

”Do not tell me their plan has been exposed,” she told herself.

This has been bothering her for a while. Because their operations had been going on for several weeks. It is normal for people to pay attention to changes in the capital.

She believes Yellow River Academy may have already suspected something. It will not be long before they fully uncover the secrets.
