Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1020: Central Auction Houseʼs problem

Sand Rock Country, Capital:

The Capital City was turned into a playing field for two academies. They have devised a plot to assassinate Vincent Carey. As planned, they have instructed the heads of the allied families to carry out the instructions.

They will not conduct any major transactions until Vincent Carey returns. Because their entire effort was focused on finding Vincent Carey.

The heads of business families have dispersed their members throughout the city in order to gather intelligence. Unlike the dark organization, they can walk around freely in daylight.

Which makes it much easier for them to collect information.

A day later,

A significant event has occurred. The Dark League has reached an agreement with the other two academies.

The cooperation period is valid during the mission period.

When their goal of killing Vincent Carey was achieved. The cooperation between the three forces will come to an end.

Because of this collaboration, Dark League Current leader Arika has dispatched a number of high-level wizards to complete the mission.

Two Peak level Wizards will lead them all through the missions. If it were any other day, the High Level and Peak Level Wizards from the Dark League would not have appeared.

They will now appear in the Capital City as a result of their cooperative efforts. The other two academies were cautious, but agreed to cooperate under certain conditions.

This means that dark league wizards cannot complete any other missions during the mission period. They will also refrain from attacking or killing academy wizards during the mission period.

They will not mind having their high and peak level wizards in the Capital as long as they can find and kill Vincent Carey.

Only trusted upper-level members of three organizations were aware of this collaboration and mission. If a large number of people award it, the chances of exposure increase.

If the Yellow River Academy learns about this, they will retaliate harshly in the future.

After a few days,

All of the business and wizard families associated with the Weapon Palace and Royal Force Hall have begun their operations. Because of the mission, there are many high-level wizards roaming the city.

The Peak Wizards are occasionally spotted. However, the local residents are unaware of it. They believe that a large number of tourists have begun to visit recently.

If the information were leaked, they would be shocked to the core. The news would undoubtedly engulf the city in terror. High-level wizards are extremely rare to see.

They usually leave their academy and country for the mission. Peak Wizards are even more so. They are an asset to any organization. They do not usually appear in public.

The peak wizards from the three academies previously appeared in the Wizard Heart Competition. As a result, the locals are completely clueless.

The three organizations have already begun to use their inescapable net. Strict vigilance and monitoring were implemented on all sides of the border.

It is not as if all forces are indifferent to such events. The forces connected to the Yellow River Academy have begun to take notice.

They had already sent warning signals to Yellow River Academy, indicating that something was not right. The Yellow River Academy, like the other two academies, has Wizard Clans and families connected to it.

It is easy for the heads of these families to notice something. However, they have not received a response from Yellow River Academy.

Central Auction House:

On the other hand, there are very few neutral forces. The Central Auction House was one of the most influential and powerful. The recent changes have given them a headache.

”What is happening in this city?”

”We have an important auction next month. We should be ready to receive the auction items any time now. However, the changes in the city have caused concern,” the Head Manager muttered to himself.

The auction houseʼs owner was not currently in the capital city. He and his family are currently in a foreign country.

”He must be at his in-lawsʼ home?” The Head Manager said something in his heart.

They gave him full rights prior to their trip. He was content in his heart. He was confident enough to hold multiple auctions this season.

He had already given an order to buy some of the rare items. So the goods should be on their way right now. He is worried that something bad will happen in the city before the auction.

If something like this happens, he should cancel the auction because no one will show up.

Sigh!

A sigh escaped his lips. He began tapping his desk before looking at the reports. His pupils were constricted. Their magic detectors have detected the presence of numerous high-level wizards near the auction building.

The numbers are exaggerated. Because they received an alarm more than 20 times in the last few days. It is impossible for one person to do it all.

Finally, the Head Manager decides to use his contacts. He is going to contact trustworthy people. The auction house has made friends with almost every influential organization in the country.

He believes he will receive the answers soon. Only after receiving answers can he plan his next steps.

He immediately began making calls.

An hour later

His face darkened due to the unbelievable news. He had made a few quick calls. Some of them are hesitant to speak. As if they were as clueless as him.

Finally, he called some people from all three Major Academies. And the results were shocking. Except for the Yellow River Academy, the other two academies were aware of the incident.

But they refused to tell him anything. Instead, they warned him. He spoke about his situation. They told him not to do anything for the next few weeks.

This made him even angrier. He had granted them access and concessions to purchase important auction items. But when he needs assistance. These people are hesitant to tell him everything.

His eyes show a cold glint.

”It is not like our auction house does not have an intelligence network,” he said in a cold tone.

Even if it costs money, he will use it to gather information.

The following day,

At nightfall, the central auction houseʼs spies were following the suspects. But there is a big problem: they can not get near them.

They must gather information without alerting them.

As time passed, they were able to overhear some of their conversations. But the conversations are brief. Spies who were able to gather information by eavesdropping on conversations.

They have forwarded their intelligence to their superior. Then the person in charge began piecing it together. It did not take much time to figure out what it was.

All of the conversations were about Vincent Carey, the Gravity Wizard. The person in charge of gathering intelligence was completely shocked.

The spies who gathered the information were experienced. So he will not doubt them. He decides to notify the Head Manager, who is waiting for his news.

A few minutes later,

The Head Manager was still inside his rooms. He did not go to sleep. Rather, it is correct to say that he could not sleep. He is waiting for intelligence reports.

Shortly afterwards,

The person in charge of the intelligence department entered the room.

”Head Manager, here is what we have so far in our preliminary reports,” the person stated.

”Good, you can leave,” The Head Manager informed him.

When the individual left the room. The Head Manager focused his attention on the new intelligence reports.

His eyes twinkled. Despite the fact that his connections refused to help him, he was able to obtain a report in one day. He was joyful in his heart.

He finished reading the information a few minutes later. His eyes were full of disbelief. Vincent Carey is a well-known name. It is the most recognizable name in the capital.

People have given him the title ”rising star.” Because that kid won the Wizard Heart Competition. He understands the prestige of the Wizard Heart Competition. It was sponsored by the Mage Union.

The competition took place in all major countries around the world, with the exception of forces hostile to the Mage Union.

But the intelligence gives him bad news. According to the report, everyone is waiting for Vincent Careyʼs appearance. The intelligence was limited because it was gathered in a single day.

However, the name itself conveys many meanings. After considering the recent unusual appearance of high and peak level wizards. Then, using this information, he can make a guess.

But he hopes that is not true. He knows these people are not exactly waiting to greet Vincent Carey. That means these people are going to cause problems.

He wonders if Yellow River Academy knows about this. They have a better intelligence network than him.

”I hope nothing happens to that child. Otherwise, many people would die in the capital,” he told himself.
