Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Yellow River Academy:

Gilbert was about to step forward, to confront Mike or at least find out what the chaos was all about, when something caught him off guard. His communication stone vibrated violently, and a sharp, urgent message filled his mind.

A summons from the Dean.

The words hung in the air like a thunderclap. Gilbert’s breath hitched. A summons from the Dean wasn’t something anyone could take lightly. The timing couldn’t have been worse.

He glanced one last time at the scene in front of the dormitory, the crowd buzzing with unease, Mike Curtis still locked in tense discussion. Whatever was happening here would have to wait.

But as Gilbert turned to leave, a sense of foreboding settled deep in his bones. Something wasn’t right. Why now? Why him? The Dean’s summons felt different this time, more urgent, more ominous.

“Why do I feel like I’m being pulled into something bigger?” he muttered under his breath, his heart pounding as he hurried away from the dormitory.

Even as he made his way toward the Dean’s office, his mind was still racing with questions. What was unfolding behind him? What role did Vincent Carey play in all this? And what could the Dean possibly want from him at a time like this?

His gut told him that this was only the beginning of something far more dangerous than he had anticipated.

…

The Dean’s Tower stood at the highest point of the academy, a looming structure built from ancient stone, surrounded by swirling magical wards that crackled faintly in the air.

Inside, the Dean, an old man with silver hair and a face etched with years of wisdom and experience, sat alone in his chamber. His piercing eyes, sharp despite his age, were fixated on the shimmering blue screen floating in front of him.

The screen displayed the unfolding scene outside the men’s dormitory, where Mike Curtis, bold as ever, was stirring up trouble. The Dean’s brows furrowed in mild irritation as he watched Mike’s brazen behavior. For a moment, his expression softened into an amused smirk, but it quickly hardened as frustration welled up within him. Experience more tales on empire

“That fool,” the Dean muttered under his breath, his voice low and gravelly, echoing in the silence of the tower. He leaned back in his high-backed chair, tapping his fingers on the armrest as he thought about the Elders of the Taboo Hall. “They should have kept that one on a tighter leash.”

Mike Curtis had always been a wild card, a young wizard who rarely played by the rules and enjoyed pushing boundaries. But today, Mike’s actions seemed to go beyond mere mischief.

The Dean could sense the undercurrent of tension, the growing unrest brewing among the students. It was no coincidence that Mike chose this moment to act up. The Dean knew all too well what was driving him—the disappearance of someone very important to the academy’s recent troubles.

Mike’s eyes were set on stirring chaos, perhaps in frustration or desperation. He was too young to understand the full scope of what he was playing with. The Dean sighed, his eyes narrowing as he focused on the crowd gathering in front of the dormitory.

“I know why you’re causing this ruckus, boy,” the Dean thought as he watched Mike on the screen. “But your timing couldn’t be worse.”

The incident Mike was so agitated over involved someone who had already left the academy. That particular wizard had been quietly left the academy grounds for reasons that went far beyond Mike’s understanding.

The Dean had hoped to handle the matter discreetly, to keep it under wraps until the academy could find a suitable explanation. He had intended to release the information in a controlled way, allowing time for the academy’s leadership to prepare for threat posed by other forces.

But now, as the crowd grew restless and the tension escalated, the Dean knew his plans were crumbling. The situation was spiraling out of control faster than he had anticipated. He would have to break the news sooner than he’d planned. Mike Curtis’s reckless antics had left him no choice.

The Dean stood up from his chair, his robes swirling around him like mist as he strode to the window. From here, the entire academy lay spread out beneath him, a sea of towers, courtyards, and magical wards.

His tower was the heart of the institution, the nerve center from which he monitored every movement, every event, every fluctuation in the academy’s magical balance. And right now, the balance was teetering.

“Gilbert Reese,” the Dean muttered, his voice soft but firm. He could sense Gilbert moving across the academy grounds, no doubt headed toward the tower. The Dean had summoned him moments ago, knowing that the Level-7 Wizard would play a crucial role in resolving what was to come. Gilbert’s sharp mind and unwavering loyalty to the academy made him the perfect confidant.

The Dean waved a hand, and the blue screen flickered out, leaving the room in a soft glow of magical light. He felt the weight of the situation pressing down on him. There was no turning back now. Whatever Mike Curtis was hoping to uncover, whatever secrets the Sub- Taboo Hall had been hiding, it was all coming to the surface.

The old man’s eyes darkened as he walked back to his desk, his steps heavy with the burden of leadership. He had hoped to protect the academy from the brewing storm, but it seemed that the winds of change had come regardless of his plans. And Gilbert, for better or worse, was about to be pulled into the heart of it.

“It’s time he and the whole academy knew the truth,” the Dean whispered to himself, steeling his resolve. Gilbert Reese would have to be informed of everything—the real reasons behind the events unfolding at the academy, the hidden ties that bound the situation together, and the danger that was far closer than any of the students realized.

The summons had been sent, and soon, Gilbert would arrive. The Dean sat down again, folding his hands together, his eyes staring ahead, deep in thought.

The dean is contemplating the potential consequences of publicly announcing Vincent Carey’s departure from the academy.
