Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Capital City:

A storm was brewing in the heart of the Capital City. The Meteor Supreme, a master strategist and ruthless leader, had set his deadly plan into motion.

Cloaked in the shadows of the internal turmoil that had recently gripped the region, the assassins under his command began to strike with precision. Their targets: the most vital locations within the prestigious Yellow River Academy.

This chaos was not a mere consequence of the ongoing unrest; it was by design. The Meteor Supreme had anticipated this moment.

In fact, it was he who had carefully seeded the discord, leaking the darkest secrets of the academies to fan the flames of conflict. His ultimate goal was clear: the elimination of Vincent Carey, a rising Wizard who posed a significant threat to his ambitions.

But to carry out such a bold move, the Meteor Supreme needed to divert attention. His own plans required him to act from afar, and any misstep could lead to his exposure. Thus, he orchestrated a series of events that would leave the city’s defenders reeling and unable to respond in time.

Shortly thereafter,

The killers received their orders: unleash havoc on the Yellow River Academy. In the dead of night, they moved with deadly intent, striking at the academy’s most crucial sites in the capital.

The academy’s once tranquil grounds were now filled with the sounds of battle and destruction. Buildings burned, and the few remaining defenders were quickly overwhelmed.

The news spread like wildfire, reaching the Dean of the Yellow River Academy. Shocked and angered, he immediately assumed that this was the work of their long-standing rivals, the two other powerful academies.

He could almost picture their Magic Lords orchestrating this attack from the shadows, relishing the chaos they had unleashed.

However, as he scrambled to respond, a chilling report arrived: there were no Magic Lords present in the Capital City.

The Dean’s heart sank as the realization hit him—this was a new, unforeseen enemy, one that had taken them by complete surprise. His mind raced as he assessed the situation, recognizing the precarious position they were in.

All the academy’s most talented wizard students had been dispatched on an important mission, leaving only a handful of elite guards behind.

These guards were highly skilled, but they were also few in number. The Dean knew he had to make a critical decision—one that could either save the academy or lead to its total chaos.

Reluctant to deploy his remaining forces, he hesitated, knowing that using them too soon could leave the academy defenseless against future threats. Yet, the gravity of the situation weighed heavily on him, as the enemy continued their relentless assault.

The clock was ticking, and the decision of the Yellow River Academy dean hung in the balance.

After giving some thought, the Dean made a critical decision. He resolved to dispatch a team of Level-7 Wizards from the academy’s elite Bloodline Hall.

These wizards, known for their potent abilities inherited through ancient and powerful bloodlines, were more than capable of neutralizing even the most formidable groups of hostile wizards.

The Dean knew that sending even a small contingent of these Bloodline Wizards would be sufficient to handle the growing threat.

However, he did not make this decision lightly. Before issuing the orders, he spent several minutes weighing the consequences, considering every possible outcome.

As he signed off on the dispatch, his thoughts inevitably turned to Vincent Carey. Amidst the chaos engulfing the academy, the Dean was determined to keep Vincent within the academy’s protective walls.

He was acutely aware of the dangers that lurked outside, and the last thing he wanted was for Vincent to become a target once again.

Vincent had narrowly escaped a sinister plot in the past, and the Dean knew that if any of the hostile forces caught wind of his presence outside the academy, they would surely launch an attack.

The Dean’s concern for Vincent’s safety was palpable. The academy’s enemies would seize any opportunity to strike at someone as promising and powerful as Vincent, especially in such turbulent times.

With these thoughts heavy on his mind, the Dean left his office, preparing to meet with the Magic Lords one by one.

The country was in the midst of an unprecedented crisis, and he knew that he couldn’t make any major decisions without consulting these wise and powerful figures. Their counsel would be crucial in determining the next steps for the academy and the entire magical community.

Meanwhile,

Alicia Park, a formidable and ambitious wizard from the Taboo Hall, had already set her plans into motion. Upon receiving an urgent mission from the Dean, she wasted no time in leaving the academy.

Her departure was swift, her determination evident. Alicia was known for her unyielding spirit and her eagerness to test her skills in real combat. She viewed this mission as an invaluable opportunity to gain much-needed fighting experience, and she wasn’t about to let it slip through her fingers.

Soon after Alicia’s departure, several other wizards from the Bloodline Hall followed suit. They, too, had been briefed on the situation—enemy forces were targeting one of the academy’s critical resource points in the Capital.

The Dean had given them the green light to engage the enemy with full force, allowing them to use their most powerful magic spells without restraint. The academy’s survival was at stake, and the time for holding back was over.

As Alicia moved swiftly through the Capital’s streets, she could feel the tension in the air. The city was on the brink of chaos, and she knew that the battles ahead would be fierce. But Alicia thrived in such environments.

For her, this mission was more than just a duty—it was a chance to prove her worth, to show that she could stand shoulder to shoulder with the strongest wizards of the academy. The thrill of battle called to her, and she was eager to answer.

The Bloodline Wizards, too, were preparing for the conflict that awaited them. Each of them knew the stakes, and each was ready to unleash their full power to protect their academy.

As they moved into position, they could sense the presence of their enemies closing in, but they were undeterred. This was their city, their home, and they would defend it with everything they had.

From MC’s Perspective:

As I left the library, my mind was still swimming with the vast amount of knowledge I had just absorbed. The quiet halls echoed with the distant sounds of footsteps, a reminder that even in these troubled times, the academy never truly slept. Just as I was about to head back to my quarters, I spotted my Senior Sister, Carolina, approaching from the opposite direction.

“Vincent,” she greeted me with a warm smile, her eyes shining with excitement. “I’ve successfully prepared the potion using the Corpse-Sucking Flower. I’m just waiting for the right time to consume it.”

Her words caught me off guard. My eyebrows shot up in surprise, and I couldn’t help but feel a pang of concern. I knew Carolina was skilled in apothecary arts, but dealing with something as dangerous as the Corpse-Sucking Flower was a different matter altogether.

Its very name hinted at the sinister nature of the ingredient, and I wasn’t sure how even someone of her talents could safely harness its power.

“Are you sure about the potion?” I asked, my voice laced with doubt. The thought of something going wrong gnawed at me, and I couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling settling in my gut.

Carolina, ever perceptive, caught the hesitation in my tone and responded with a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry, Vincent. I’ve gone through the potion formula meticulously. There’s no danger.”

Her confidence was evident, but I still couldn’t help but voice my concerns. “I think it’s better for you to consume it in the presence of someone. What if something unexpected happens?”

Carolina chuckled softly, a sound that somehow put me at ease. “You’re underestimating my Vine Magic, Vincent. Though it’s different from yours, it’s still a Sub-Taboo Grade magic. I’m confident it will handle the potion’s power.”

Her words made something click in my mind. I had almost forgotten how much her magic had evolved since her fortuitous encounter.

Though she had never fully disclosed the details, it was clear that her Vine Magic was far more formidable than before. I realized then that she might truly be capable of controlling the unpredictable effects of the potion.

We continued our walk in silence, soon arriving back at the Sub-Taboo Hall. The familiar surroundings brought a sense of calm, though I could sense there was more Carolina wanted to discuss. Her usual light-hearted demeanor was tinged with an unspoken seriousness, as if she was weighing her words before speaking.

I wasn’t surprised by her mood. After all, something unimaginable was happening in our country—something that had even the most seasoned wizards on edge. The air was thick with tension, and everyone was preparing for what felt like an inevitable storm. As we walked, I could feel the weight of the situation pressing down on us both.
