While I am in Reality, I Can Enter the Singularity Universe

94: Chapter 94 If we can’t eat the cake, then we’ll destroy it! The Emperor of the Island Nation meets with Saizo Saburo! He moved his lips and asked a difficult question:

”Your Excellency Matsumoto, since Spiritual Energy Revival shows signs of spreading, the Empire’s mainland and the rest of the globe will sooner or later enter a ’New Era.’ Is the Easterners’ ’dream of ruling the world’ merely a castle in the air?”

”Our Empire is full of talent, with countless Prodigies. In the path of the extraordinary, we have every opportunity to suppress the ancient Easterners.”

”After all, in the ’Global IQ Ranking’ compiled by audit institutions, our island nation ranks first, while the Easterners are at the very bottom.”

”Mr. Kameda, you have only been in the East for five or six years, and you have not seriously studied the ancient mythological texts of the East.”

Your Excellency Matsumoto shook his head, a sharp glint appearing in his eyes, looking as if he saw everything clearly.

”There is an old saying here: In the path of Cultivating the Dao, if you are one step ahead, you can crush all the Cultivators behind you.”

”Your idea is very nice, but in reality, by the time the whole world enters Spiritual Energy Revival, the Easterners will have already been several steps ahead. As latecomers, how can we dare to claim we will definitely be able to kill those blocking our path ahead?”

”At that time, we will either be dogs and slaves to the Easterners, or have our heads ruthlessly chopped off. Apart from this, there is no third option for the countries of the world.”

”...Your Excellency Matsumoto, what is your suggestion?”

Mr. Kameda heard the implication in Your Excellency Matsumoto’s words, but still cautiously raised his head to ask.

”Convene a United Nations General Assembly!”

”Demand that the East open its borders, allowing ordinary citizens and government personnel from all countries around the world to enter freely and unimpeded, so that they can enjoy the evolutionary baptism brought about by the extraordinary revival in advance.”

”— Gulp.”

Mr. Kameda’s pupils dilated, his dry throat moved, and he remained stunned in place for a long time.

”Your Excellency Matsumoto, even without mentioning top-tier major powers, it is impossible for any indigenous small country in Africa to accept such a thing. I fear this would...”

Mr. Kameda had not finished speaking, but the meaning was obvious.

Never mind the East accepting it; if this news were announced, in an instant, public opinion would boil over, and the masses would be incensed!

They would want to start an S3 season with them!

”Trigger the Third World War? Or a nuclear winter? Or perhaps the extinction of human civilization?”

Your Excellency Matsumoto’s tone was eerie as he said a hair-raising sentence:

”Is there any difference between these and the Easterners ruling the world?”

”With the former, we can still sit at the table and have the qualifications to negotiate with the East.”

”But with the latter... as a slave, do you dare to resist the slave owner?”

”Therefore, this is not an extreme idea, but rather uniting all countries of the world to use economic sanctions, resource blockades, nuclear threats, and other means to force us all to be on the same starting line under the Spiritual Energy Revival.”

”Only in this way can the Empire have a glorious future, and in the era of the extraordinary, realize the lifelong wish of successive emperors—to secure a fertile and vast pure land for reproduction, and migrate out of the small island with scarce resources and tight land.”

”...Your Excellency Matsumoto, what if the East does not agree?”

”Then we start S3!”

”The East has an old saying: Since there is no share for me, I will smash the delicious cake to the ground, and no one will eat it!”

”Gulp...”

Mr. Kameda was filled with fear.

Having thought he was living in a peaceful era, far removed from the wars of the past, he never expected that war was so close to him!

And once this kind of war began, a ”nuclear winter” would be inevitable.

Even if the entire human civilization did not completely perish, it would sooner or later regress to slash-and-burn agriculture, desperately heading toward doomsday within a few low-concentration radiation zones!

”Today’s words are just to prepare you mentally so you can better execute the Empire’s layout within the East.”

”In a few days, I may have to return to the country to succeed as the Director-General of the [Imperial Intelligence Bureau]. In the future, you will need to take over here.”

”A promotion? Your Excellency Matsumoto, I will certainly not live up to your expectations and will complete all tasks entrusted by the Empire to Perfection!”

Mr. Kameda was stunned for a few seconds, but soon his eyes lit up, and he stood straight and bowed to give his guarantee.

”It is not about living up to my expectations, but about not failing the high hopes of His Majesty the Emperor and the ministers in the cabinet.”

”Mr. Kameda understands; I will definitely do my duty and be loyal to His Majesty the Emperor and the Empire!”

”Hmm. You go back first. I need to report the matter of the Super-Duty Bureau to the Imperial Headquarters immediately.”

”Yes!”

Mr. Kameda bowed and retreated to the door, then turned and opened the door to leave with light footsteps.

Half an hour later.

Your Excellency Matsumoto reported the complete, organized data to the Imperial Headquarters in its entirety.

At the same time, he also wrote down his thoughts in a document and sent them back via a satellite line.

...

Nighttime.

The island nation’s mainland along the Pacific Ocean.

Tokyo, at the end of the avenue in front of Nijubashi Bridge.

Inside the tall pavilion with blue bricks and red tiles was the Imperial Palace where the Emperor resided.

At this moment, a black motorcade, escorted by police motorcycles, slowly drove toward this location.

A few minutes later, the vehicles stopped.

The island nation’s Prime Minister, ”Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang,” stepped out of the car wearing a suit.

To the side, a beautiful female assistant who had been waiting for a long time hurriedly approached and bowed, saying:

”Your Excellency Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang, His Majesty the Emperor has not yet rested and is waiting for your arrival!”

”Hmm, let’s go.”

Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang’s expression was calm and unruffled as he nodded faintly.

His build was slightly chubby, and his face looked very kind, as if he were easy to get along with.

But in reality, this was the eyes deceiving oneself.

Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang’s strategic skills in struggle were extremely strong. Back then, in order to ascend to power, he not only secretly killed two cabinet ministers but also used various means to clean up several strong candidates from the same period.

The Emperor was well aware of this, yet he did not say much, instead holding Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang in higher regard.

The island nation may seem small, but it has a population of over one hundred million.

Governing a country is not playing house; without ruthless means, how can one take the correct stance amidst the changing international situation and secure enough benefits for the country?

Besides this, there was another point where the Emperor was wary of Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang—

Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang was not without a Foundation; the Family behind his wife was very powerful!

It was none other than the ”Edo Shogunate,” one of the three existing shogunates in the island nation!

Two hundred years ago, although the Edo Shogunate’s rule was dismantled by the Emperor of that time.

But a thin camel is still bigger than a horse; by enduring humiliation and shrinking their sphere of influence, the Edo Shogunate successfully survived.

And, during the subsequent two world wars, it rose in secret.

It possessed extremely strong influence in the island nation’s economy, energy, food, minerals, internet technology, and other aspects.

Therefore, even as the Emperor, he harbored deep wariness toward the three major shogunates.

In front of the Imperial Palace gate.

Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang was followed by several bodyguards in black, and under the guidance of the beautiful female assistant, he passed through tall pavilions and terraces, entering the deepest part of the Imperial Palace.

The Wanyuan Garden where the Emperor resided.

Several maids wearing cherry blossom kimonos bowed and left.

Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang knelt at the tea table and exchanged a few glances with the middle-aged Emperor.

In each other’s eyes, besides a few traces of deep gravity, there were also a few subtle, imperceptible contests.

Of course, being able to reach their level, they were neither kind nor simple people. When facing the common enemy of the ”East,” they naturally united against the outside, and would not be at loggerheads over minor dissatisfactions.

”My dear minister, have you decided?”

After a few breaths, the Emperor picked up the teapot and poured a cup of tea that was half full for Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang, and poured himself a full cup, then said with a calm expression.

How could this small action escape Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang’s eyes?

Although he was slightly displeased in his heart, he did not show it at all.

The Emperor was the nominal supreme leader of the island nation; no matter what he thought in his heart, at least on the surface, he could not reveal his true feelings.

Otherwise, it would be a sign of immature ”tactics,” and it would be easy for others to grasp one’s own weaknesses and leverage.

Prime Minister Caiyuan Sanlang picked up the tea cup, took a sip, and nodded calmly:

”Yes, Your Majesty the Emperor.”

His posture while drinking tea was very professional.

He had also studied abroad in the East.

He was quite knowledgeable about and enthusiastic about the culture of that ancient land.
