Chapter 2651: Chapter 2651: Fell Into A Coma

”I am sorry, Madam Ji... It seems your daughter has fallen into a coma. I cannot find anything physically wrong with her. I suggest you take her to a larger hospital. They have more experts and specialised equipment there. Perhaps they might find the cause.” The doctor explained.

The doctor frowned while speaking to Sang Yuling. Why? Because of the smell. He detected the sharp scent of urine in the room. He coughed lightly, wanting to clear his throat.

”Nurse... Come over and check this young girl’s lower body.” The doctor called out to the nurse.

”Doctor, why do you want to check my daughter’s lower body?” Sang Yuling asked sharply.

Sang Yuling still believed firmly in the purity of a young woman. A girl’s lower body should not be seen by another man before marriage. Yes, she knew such views were outdated, but she lived her life that way. She had married her husband, and only then did they ”do the deed.” So, she absolutely did not want her daughter to be seen by a man.

”Madam, I want the nurse to check if your daughter has urinated because of the scent in the air. The smell is very strong.” The doctor explained calmly.

”Do people in a coma urinate?” Sang Yuling asked.

”Of course. Even when a person is in a coma, their body continues to perform essential biological functions to keep them alive.” The doctor said while nodding his head.

”Oh...” Sang Yuling responded flatly. Then she spoke up. ”Then, only let the nurse check her. Doctor, you can go out.”

The nurse and doctor were speechless. They looked at each other, understanding exactly what the other was thinking. However, neither of them said anything. The doctor, without another word, stepped out of the room. Even if Sang Yuling had not said it aloud, he would not have stayed to watch. He was well aware of social proprieties.

A minute later, the nurse called the doctor back into the room.

”You are so fast changing her.” The doctor commented to the nurse.

”It is not like that, Doctor. She did not urinate at all.” The nurse said.

”Then, where is this smell coming from? I still can smell it.” The doctor said, looking puzzled.

Then, the nurse looked at Sang Yuling. She noticed a prominent wet patch on Sang Yuling’s pants.

”Madam Ji... Is that....” The nurse pointed her finger at Sang Yuling.

The doctor also turned his gaze toward Sang Yuling’s pants. He, too, saw the wet patch. Sang Yuling looked down at her clothes. She noticed it as well, and her face turned a deep shade of red. She suddenly remembered that earlier, when she had been gripped by fear, she had wet herself.

”This... This...” Sang Yuling was so embarrassed that she could not utter another word.

The doctor and the nurse finally realised where the smell had originated. The doctor coughed lightly to break the tension.

”Madam Ji, as I said earlier, I cannot determine what your daughter’s illness is. I suggest you bring your daughter to a big hospital in the city. They have more advanced technology and specialists to examine her. You should go home first and change your clothes.” The doctor suggested.

”Okay...” Sang Yuling nodded.

She rushed out of the room, heading straight to her car. She ignored Jiang Linlin and Jiang Duan, who were out of the room.

”Auntie Ji...” Jiang Linlin tried to call out, but Sang Yuling rushed past her just like that. She turned to her father. ”What is going on? Why did Auntie Ji rush out like that? What happened to Gu Niang?”

”Let’s ask the doctor about this.” Jiang Duan suggested.

”Yes, Dad.” Jiang Linlin nodded.

They went to the registration counter. The nurse, busy with her work, lifted her head and saw Jiang Linlin and Jiang Duan.

”Oh... Mr. Jiang... What are you doing here? Have you come to see the doctor?” The nurse asked.

The nurse was an acquaintance of Jiang Duan. Her name was Niang Yuxie, and she had just started her shift. Consequently, she did not know that it was Jiang Duan who had brought the patient in earlier.

”No... No...” Jiang Duan shook his head, denying it. ”I just want to ask about Gu Niang. She is my daughter’s friend. I came earlier, bringing her in when she fainted. I want to know what her condition is.”

Niang Yuxie looked at Jiang Linlin, who appeared very worried.

”Miss, please tell me what happened to Gu Niang. Why did she suddenly faint? Does she have a chronic illness?” Jiang Linlin asked.

Niang Yuxie looked at the medical records.

”We still don’t know what is going on with Miss Ji. We told her mother to take her to the hospital in the city. They might need to perform more tests there. Madam Ji has returned home to prepare the necessary things for the trip to the city.” Niang Yuxie explained.

”Oh...” Jiang Linlin was sad to hear that. ”So, we still don’t know what happened to her.”

”Don’t worry too much. They might find the cause later.” Niang Yuxie said comfortingly.

Jiang Duan told Jiang Linlin that they should return home first. Later, if they wanted an update on Ji Gu Niang, she could call Sang Yuling. Jiang Linlin eventually left the clinic with her father.

Meanwhile, Sang Yuling drove her car back to her house. She felt utterly humiliated in front of the doctor and the nurse. However, she was even more worried about her daughter’s condition. Even though she suspected the underlying cause of her daughter’s state, she still could not accept it. She felt there must be a legitimate medical reason why her daughter had suddenly fallen into a coma.
