Global Evolution: I Create Items in the Apocalypse and Become a God

Chapter 3 Professional Prying ToolsChapter 3 Professional Prying Tools
Chu Anqin watched the two metal basins disappear, and a tool half a meter long appeared in his hand.

A crowbar with a U-shaped end. The two sides of the U are very thin, about the diameter of the key gap.

The other end is a small curved section that is perfect for holding in the hand.

”It’s obviously a crowbar, and a professional prying tool.”

Chu Anqin curled his lips and weighed it a few times. It was very light and would not be a problem to carry.

He walked to the door of the second bedroom and locked it. He wanted to test how professional he was.

Insert the U-shaped side into the key gap, push hard, and you will hear a ”click” sound, and the door lock will really open.

“So awesome.”

Chu Anqin was shocked. He had never learned any skills in lock picking. This pick was too fast and the sound was not loud.

He gradually formed an idea in his mind. After the outbreak of the doomsday, many people were infected with the virus and died, or fled the city.

The house they left behind might contain the ”treasures” they didn’t take away.

For example, food that has gone bad and has grown mold.
”Make another one.”

Chu Anqin found some metal products that were not needed temporarily in the house and made up a total of 10 units of metal.

“Make it!”

The metal disappeared, and he had a pry tool in his hand.

Have two pry tools, one for use and one as a backup, just in case.

Wow.
It’s still raining heavily outside and I don’t think it will stop for a while.

Chu Anqin returned to the living room, collected the plastic bottles on the ground, and took them to the balcony to collect rain water.

It takes a long time to wait for the rain, so he has to store some water quickly.

After filling up more than a dozen bottles, he ran to the kitchen, where there were two large plastic buckets, the kind used by Nongfu Spring.

Pour all the water in the bottle into the container, then go back to the balcony to get more water.

Repeat this process several times until the two large buckets of water are filled, and then fill up the bottles.

After running back and forth a few times, my body began to feel weak, and most of the energy from the compressed biscuits and sports drinks was consumed.

He leaned back on the couch, his chest heaving as he breathed heavily.

A rare smile appeared on Chu Anqin’s face. As a result of half an hour’s battle, all the bottles and jars were filled with water.

For a long time afterwards, he no longer had to worry about water.

The rain came at a very timely moment. It not only saved him, but also saved many other people.

Gululu.
He hadn’t rested for a few minutes when his stomach started growling again.

Chu Anqin stood up and walked to the door, opened the security door, and looked into the dim corridor.

The walkway was covered with dust because no one had cleaned it for a long time.

He stared outside for a while, took a deep breath, and then walked out carefully with two prying tools.

He was very hungry, so he decided to go check out the house next door.

The buildings in this community are basically ten stories high, with two households on each floor.

As I recall, there was a young couple living next door to me. Later they were infected with the virus, taken away for quarantine and never came back.

The dust was very thick and he really had to take one step at a time. The elevator shaft in the middle of the corridor had long been out of service because there was no electricity.

When I touched the other side, I found that the couplet on the door had faded, was half hanging on the door frame, and was covered with dust.

Looking at the door handle and door lock, they are already rusty.

The young couple never came back, and no one opened the door again.

Chu Anqin picked up the pry tool and aimed the U-shaped head at the lock seam.

Thump thump thump.
His heart beat faster for no apparent reason, and he felt like a thief, a big thief who broke into houses by picking open doors and locks.

However, at the end of the world, everything is aimed at survival, and the original social rules no longer exist.

Breaking into homes and even murders happen all the time.

Click!

With a little force, the security door opened, revealing a narrow gap.

squeak
He pushed hard to open it, and there was a grinding sound where the door and the door frame met.

The security door had not been used for a long time and its internal structure was severely rusted.

Chu Anqin leaned in and was greeted by a musty smell mixed with dust. This was what happened when a house had been uninhabited for too long.

The structure of this house is the same as his, with two bedrooms and a living room, and an area of only 80 square meters.

The first thing you see at the entrance is a living room, with a sofa, TV, coffee table, etc. The furniture is almost the same as at home.

The furniture was neatly arranged and covered with a dust cloth. The couple must be the kind of people who take good care of their things.

“They thought they could come back.”

Chu Anqin sighed, turned into the kitchen and walked towards the refrigerator.

If there was food in the house, the most likely place would be the refrigerator. The refrigerator was about two meters high, with two layers, and a yellowed label was stuck on the upper refrigerator door, which read: ”Remember to eat breakfast!”

There is a pot of spider plant on the ceiling. Its leaves are a little dry and curled, but the overall look is green and still full of vitality. Compared with the dead air in the house, it seems out of place.

He took the spider plant down and placed it at his feet, preparing to take it away later to add some vitality to the home.

“This door…”

Chu Anqin tried hard to pull the refrigerator door on the upper layer, but it wouldn’t open.

The refrigerator has not been used for a long time and the door seems to be stuck.

He tried several times and put in a lot of effort, but still failed.

”Try the pry tool.”

Place the U-shaped head of the pry tool against the gap in the refrigerator door, pin it on, and apply force.

Snapped!
It’s open again!
At the same time, a foul smell came out of the refrigerator.

Chu Anqin secretly praised the pry tool for its ease of use and professionalism. He covered his mouth and nose and moved his gaze inside the refrigerator.

This layer is the fresh-keeping layer. There are three compartments, and on each layer there are a few puddles of black stuff, which looks like rotten food.

Without electricity, the refrigerator would have stopped cooling long ago, and it is normal for the food inside to rot.

”What a waste!” Chu Anqin felt distressed.

He called up the panel and tried to use the rotten things as food materials.

The result disappointed him greatly. There was no ”Make” button behind either the compressed biscuits or the sports drinks.

These piles of rotten stuff are much larger than that piece of moldy noodles, definitely more than 5 units.

The [Produce] button does not appear, most likely because rotten things cannot be used as food ingredients, while moldy but non-rotten things can be, and it is not because of insufficient materials.

”It’s so rotten that even if I can make compressed biscuits out of it, I still don’t dare to eat it.”

Chu Anqin forced himself to comfort himself, but he felt extremely uncomfortable.

He shifted his gaze to the freezer, picked up a pry tool and pushed it hard against the crack in the door, somewhat resentfully.

Snapped!
There was no ice in the freezer, and the same foul smell came out.

He pulled out the three-layer drawer boxes one by one, with more force each time.

When the last drawer box was empty, Chu Anqin was so angry that he threw the box out of the kitchen.

Everything in the refrigerator was rotten beyond recognition, and even the panel was not willing to be recycled.

”What should I do?” He was a little desperate, squatting next to the refrigerator, a little at a loss.

There was no food in the refrigerator, and the chances of finding it anywhere else were slim.

Chu Anqin sat on the ground to calm down, and his stomach rumbled again to remind him.

”Made!”

He stood up from the ground and brushed the dust off his butt.

”Look for it again. I don’t believe it anymore.”

The refrigerator is usually filled with perishable foods, and there must be other food in the house.

For example, rice and flour should definitely not be kept in the refrigerator.

He looked at the tiled stove in the kitchen. Some seasonings and tableware were placed on the countertop, and there were three integrated cabinets above and below.

The spices have a long shelf life and are not easy to spoil.

However, these things cannot be eaten directly. He called up the panel again, but seasonings cannot be used as food ingredients.

Chu Anqin took a deep breath and moved his eyes to the three cabinets above.

From top to bottom, from left to right.

He first opened the cabinet on the far left, which contained only glass cups and plates.

When he opened the middle cabinet, he found a bottle of red wine inside, which gave him a little surprise.

”Red wine, good harvest.”

He took the red wine down and placed it on the stove, then opened the last cabinet on the upper level, which contained some sundries and a bag of tea.

Chu Anqin took the tea leaves down, opened them and smelled them. There was no musty smell, and the color did not show any mold either.

Bring up the panel, and a [Make] button will appear after option one.

“Tea leaves can be eaten, that’s right!”

Finally there was some gain, and Chu Anqin’s mood improved.

I chose to make a piece of compressed biscuit on the spot, and the tea leaves were instantly reduced by half. When I made the second piece, the whole bag of tea was consumed.

He looked at the two biscuits in his right hand, his eyes sparkled, and he wished he could eat them right there.

But he couldn’t eat it because he knew he had to keep some thoughts.

”And there are three cabinets below.”
