Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 100 The Dawn of Higher-Level Combat PowerChapter 100 The Dawn of Higher-Level Combat Power

In the command hall, Jack and his companions looked at the data sent back. Tian Jian asked, ”Should we inform them that they don’t need to take action on the space disturbance issue.”

Jack looked at Bai Haitang thoughtfully, but the other party shook his head to indicate that this could not be done.

”We can report the progress of the investigation, but we cannot refuse the Human Alliance to help solve the problem. Moreover, who can really confirm that the problem has been solved?”

Jack understood Bai Haitang’s meaning, rejected Tian Jian’s proposal, and turned over the development of the matter to Liu Wen.

After receiving the message sent by Jack, Liu Wen, who was hundreds of light years away, immediately contacted the biological department to inquire about the cultivation of butterfly creatures and the possibility of preying on void energy-eating fish to promote their growth.

The biological department, which was unaware of the specific situation, immediately became very interested in the relationship between the butterfly creatures and the void energy-eating fish after learning what happened in the Bonucci star field.

Thanks to the biotechnology of the Bonucci Empire and the biotechnology of the previous era acquired by Liu Wen, the Star Sea Territory is now on par with physical technology in biotechnology, and is far ahead in terms of explosive military production capacity.

Currently, one of the research directions of the biology department is the upgrade and optimization of biological battleships. However, due to insufficient technical foundation, the progress has been very slow after the development of three types of biological battleships. Now, a void energy-eating fish that also masters space capabilities has emerged, which may be a very good genetic supplement for the butterfly-type biological battleships.

The biological department quickly contacted the scientific research team responsible for cultivating butterfly creatures to inquire about the specific situation, and dispatched two scientific research ships to the incident area, preparing to obtain the genetic samples of the Void Energy-Eating Fish for research as soon as possible.

Within a few hours after the two scientific research ships of the biological department arrived, the biological fleet that went deep into the space disturbance area finally captured four void energy-devouring fish, bound them in a cage force field and dragged them back into the fleet. Several butterflies immediately surrounded them, emitting excited mental fluctuations around the cage force field.

In order to better verify the state of the butterfly after swallowing the Void Energy-Eating Fish, the researchers divided the butterflies in different growth states into groups as a control group and placed them in a cage force field.

The Void Energy Devouring Fish, which were originally extremely ferocious in groups, were still trembling and ramming hard against the force field barrier when facing the young butterfly creatures alone. They did not stop even though their scales were broken and bleeding.

From the reaction of the Void Energy Devouring Fish, it is easy to verify the butterfly creature’s identity as a natural predator.

The result did not disappoint. Even though the Void Energy Devouring Fish, as an adult, possessed stronger spatial power than the young butterfly, it was still easily caught in the butterfly’s mouth like a mouse encountering a cat, and was swallowed up in just a few bites.

A large number of detection instruments were locked onto several butterfly creatures, and something surprising happened to the researchers. In just one hour, the butterfly creatures that had eaten the Void Energy Devouring Fish began to grow at a speed visible to the naked eye. The largest wingspan reached nearly thirty meters, and the smallest wingspan reached twenty-eight meters. At the same time, the energy scale in the butterfly creatures also reached about one thousand five hundred.

”This amount of increase is a bit unscientific!” A new researcher looked at the test data with a forehead full of question marks. It is normal for star creatures to digest and absorb quickly, but the so-called digestion and absorption is just the storage of energy and substances that are beneficial to the body. This kind of direct guidance of physical growth is the first time they have seen it.

”This process is not normal. Even the Void Zerg cannot absorb food genes to strengthen themselves so quickly.” A researcher seemed to have thought of something: ”Unless the butterfly genes already have the relevant strengthening gene information, what is lacking is the energy and genes unique to the Void Energy Devouring Fish to activate it.”

The researcher’s words immediately attracted the attention of others. They then pulled out the original genes of the butterfly organism that had already been sequenced, and extracted the genes after growth for comparison. Soon, the results confirmed that this guess was correct.

The butterfly creature only has a hidden gene that has been activated, and a few base pairs have been replaced, which has increased the butterfly creature’s body strength and spatial affinity by six percent, while its body has accelerated its growth for nearly a year.

“So that’s how it is. If every Void Energy Devouring Fish can promote the growth of butterfly creatures, then it would only take fifty or sixty of them for the butterfly creatures to reach level six and be promoted to level seven. And here, there are more than a million!” The leading researcher looked with shining eyes at the disturbed space that was blooming with colorful colors as the spatial energy rolled.

”What a surprising food chain relationship. Judging from the current data, the Void Energy Devouring Fish should be equivalent to growth potions in the eyes of butterflies. With enough Void Energy Devouring Fish, butterfly cubs can quickly pass through the larval stage and reach adulthood, thereby increasing the survival rate of the cubs.”

”And judging from the Void Energy Devouring Fish’s previous reaction, this food chain is also relative. If the butterfly creature is devoured, it will also be of great benefit to the Void Energy Devouring Fish. However, in this two-way capture food chain, the Void Energy Devouring Fish is generally at a disadvantage, otherwise it would not have immediately hidden in the depths after the reinforcements arrived.”

”After confirming the number and strength of the butterfly creatures, they are now starting to stir again, with the same excitement and fear as before.”

”Speed up the capture process, and try to obtain the reproductive cells or offspring of the Void Energy Devouring Fish. We need to try to artificially breed the Void Energy Devouring Fish and provide sufficient food for the butterfly creatures.”

”According to the number of Void Devourers here, as long as we pay a negligible price, I believe our territory will soon be able to cultivate dozens of level seven combat forces. With them in the territory, the sense of security will be greatly improved!”

After the leading researcher made a summary, the relevant personnel immediately reported the conclusion of the conjecture to the command hall. Although it was still just a conjecture, the result would not be too different, and it was a fact that it was beneficial to the growth of butterfly creatures, so cultivating them quickly was naturally the top priority at the moment.

As for research, with genetic samples and butterfly creatures, any research is possible. After cultivating the butterfly creatures to level seven, studying the genes of level seven creatures will be even more attractive to scientific researchers.

After reviewing the application materials, Bai Haitang immediately agreed to the research team’s application and dispatched the only butterfly-shaped biological army in his possession to the space disturbance area.

”Since butterflies are the natural enemies of void energy-devouring fish, even if the butterfly biological warships only have one thousandth of their original suppression power, we can still use our numerical advantage to defeat this group of void energy-devouring fish and solve the problem of the space disturbance area.”

Bai Haitang said to Jack, ”Master Jack, I think the evacuation order for the Bonucci star field can be cancelled. In addition, I hope you can apply to the Lord for more cultivation indicators for the butterfly-type biological legions.”

Jack already understood the details and immediately nodded in agreement with Bai Haitang’s proposal: ”I will personally apply to the lord and ask them to speed up the verification and obtain as many samples and data as possible. We need to obtain the maximum benefit before the human alliance takes action.”

Bai Haitang naturally understood this truth. Whether or not the Human Union would take action and when it would take action was still a mystery, but they could not pin their hopes on the efficiency of the Human Union. Only what they got themselves truly belonged to them.

Now Jack is regretting that he reported to the Human Union too early. If he had waited for the research results, he wouldn’t have to worry so much now. The entire space disturbance area belongs to them, and they can research it however they want. Maybe they can even raise the Void Energy-Eating Fish as food for the butterfly creatures.

It is useless to think too much. What has passed will not be changed in the slightest no matter how much regret you have. You can only look forward, work harder, and do better to make up for the regret. After Liu Wen received the application from Jack, he was very surprised and also felt pleasantly surprised.

Originally, he had given up the idea of breeding butterfly creatures to serve as high-level combat forces for the territory, but an unexpected crisis actually brought such good news.

Although he had reservations about using the Void Devouring Energy Fish to quickly advance the butterfly creatures to level seven, this was after all the most likely and fastest way to obtain level seven combat power. What’s more, the cost was very low, only requiring cultivation investment. Therefore, he decisively delegated the target of twenty butterfly-type creature legion fleets to Jack, and the command authority belonged to the Galaxy Fleet.

While Bai Haitang and his group were busy catching food for the butterflies, a disc-shaped spaceship painted with the Human Alliance logo quietly circled around the space disturbance area, using the technique of mirror space to hide from the radar monitoring of the Galaxy Fleet’s reconnaissance ship.

Every move of the Galaxy Fleet is being detected by the disc-shaped spacecraft, and everything that happens in the space disturbance area is also in full view.

But they did not move at all, just quietly observing the every move of the Galaxy Fleet. From beginning to end, they never contacted the Star Sea Territory, nor did they capture samples. They were independent of the outside world, just like a bystander.

There are also butterfly creatures in the Human Union. They come from the butterfly eggs that the Star Fleet handed over to the Shangxia Republic. They are also unknown star creatures, but the scientific research departments in the Human Union have already had a very thorough understanding of butterfly creatures. After all, the scientific research foundation is there.

Therefore, after discovering that the situation here could be resolved by the Star Sea Territory itself, the person in charge of the Human Union directly gave up the idea of interfering, as the more expenses could be saved, the better.

After a few days and a large number of comparisons and checks, the growth curve of the butterfly creatures has been basically determined. Although the results are not as good as initially imagined, there is not much deviation overall. The only difference is that the amount of food needed by the butterfly creatures increases dramatically as their body size grows, and the time will be pushed back to about two and a half years.

Liu Wen was all smiles after receiving the research results from the scientific research department. He also approved the project application for the optimization of the butterfly-shaped biological warship and provided sufficient scientific research funds.

Dozens of butterfly-shaped biological armies were deployed into the space disturbance area to carry out a complete catching operation on the Void Energy Devouring Fish. Butterflies, which had grown several times in size, carried their trainers and shuttled comfortably among the biological armies. Through their own spatial abilities, they activated the weakened capabilities of the butterfly-shaped biological warships, forcibly suppressing the force of space disturbance and allowing the biological armies to sail safely in it.

A large number of Void Energy Devouring Fish were captured by the biological army. The fifty-four butterfly creatures could eat their fill every day, and their growth limit was directly maximized.

The butterfly creatures change every day, and the only ones who feel worried are their trainers. The butterfly creatures grow too fast, and their own strength is no longer enough to guide the butterflies to fight. They simply cannot keep up with the butterflies’ reaction speed and fighting power.

The trainers, feeling mixed emotions of sadness and joy, asked Commander Bai Haitang for better training skills so that they would not be abandoned by the butterflies or drag down the butterflies’ combat effectiveness due to their weak strength.

Liu Wen had no way to deal with this. The advanced techniques for taming star creatures were not even for sale on the Interstellar Alliance platform. He could only rely on luck and wait for someone to put the relevant knowledge on the shelves.

However, Liu Wen did think of one thing. Logically speaking, animal taming skills should also fall into the category of biotechnology. So, could he obtain better skills through the biotechnology rewarded by the golden finger?

With the Void Energy Devouring Fish as an enhanced feed, it is only a matter of time for the butterfly creature to grow to level seven. While having level seven combat power and sitting in the rear, it can also provide certain support to the front line, and the combined fleet it controls will also have stronger control.

Delighted, Liu Wen relieved a lot of the pressure he had been under in recent years and had greater confidence in the development of the combined fleet.

Time flies, the years are like a shuttle.

After the appearance of the United Fleet, Area B remained calm for several years, which was not at all like a normal star field development.

Other developed star fields are filled with wars, storms and turmoil, and each civilization is living a precarious life.

But here in Liu Wen’s place, the alien civilizations were immersed in the joy of rapid development and could not extricate themselves. The resources they handed over every year were so timely that Liu Wen, who wanted to find two targets to establish his authority, was helpless. They were too well-behaved and Liu Wen could not bring himself to do anything.

Small-scale battles have been going on in the intelligent wormhole for several years, and the intelligence about the galaxy where the intelligent civilization is located is still pitifully scarce. No detectors or even reconnaissance ships can enter to obtain intelligence. The blockade is too tight, making the Combined Fleet still completely in the dark about the intelligent civilization.

These days of anxiety finally ended this year.

Yang Zhenshan appeared in Liu Wen’s lounge again and placed a piece of information in front of him.

”This is the intelligence provided by the Human Union Intelligence Department. The intelligent machine civilization has made a big move recently, but the specific direction of the attack has not been explored clearly. You must be prepared for defense. Once the war starts, it will be more dangerous than the previous battle.”

Liu Wen checked the intelligence and his expression looked a little grim after reading it, but he was not too sad. After all, he had been prepared for the war with the other party, but it happened much earlier than he expected.

”It’s okay to start a war. I’ve already been mentally prepared. But I have a question. Will the Human Alliance send out high-level combat forces to stop the opponent’s high-level combat forces this time?”

Yang Zhenshan smiled and said, ”Don’t expect a saint to attack like last time. That was an accident. I will still lead the team to support you in the battle this time. As long as there are no more accidents like the Takama-ga-hara dimension, it will be no problem to block the opponent’s high-level combat power.”

”Also, I heard that your Xinghai Territory has a team of dozens of level seven star creatures. With them, even if you lose the battle, it won’t endanger the Xinghai Territory.”

Liu Wen was not surprised that the other party knew about the butterfly creatures. He had already anticipated this when the Human Alliance’s reconnaissance ship never showed up. If they didn’t even have this level of control, was there any need for the Human Alliance to exist?
