Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 56: Dormant for 1 year, military invitationChapter 56: Dormant for a year, military invitation

The Sixth Cosmic Era, October 1, 18,694.

The Subspace Trial has been going on for more than a year. Thanks to the gains made in the Subspace, over the course of a year, more than 300,000 elite talents have applied to join the Xinghai Group.

With abundant human resources, the Xinghai Group of the Second World expanded rapidly. From biomedicine to warship armament, it had hundreds of subsidiaries and branches throughout the 108 star fields of the Shangxia Republic.

The Xinghai Research Department is independent of the group and owns two research cities, a medium-sized research space, and three research ships. There are 14 level 5 researchers, nearly 300 level 4 researchers, and nearly 2,000 level 3 researchers. There are more than 80,000 regular researchers, barely supporting the entire level 5 civilization scientific research system.

The two armed forces, the Star Fleet and the Galaxy Fleet, had their fleet warships updated and replaced with the Guardian-class battleships during this year, with the highest level reaching the flagship level.

The fleet includes one flagship battleship, fifty battleships, one hundred heavy cruisers, two hundred light cruisers, five hundred destroyers, one thousand frigates, two light aircraft carriers, four medium-sized engineering ships, two medium-sized multi-purpose supply ships, two medium-sized transport ships, one scientific research ship, five multi-purpose minelayers, and ten light reconnaissance ships, totaling one thousand eight hundred and seventy-seven level five guards warships, which is still far from a complete legion.

After a year of hard work, the Sera Industrial Zone achieved miracles and obtained a cash flow of 100 billion contribution points and mineral resources worth tens of billions after selling a complete set of level 5 technology trees. Other policy benefits include the green light for the group’s expansion, otherwise it would not have been able to expand across the entire galaxy in just one year.

The industrial zone now has a complete five-level industrial system, which has been reintegrated into 25 industrial cities, 15 large-scale transit space stations, 15 medium-sized dock production lines, two large-scale space smelting and forging plants, three large-scale space high-precision equipment manufacturing plants, two scientific research cities, and one scientific research space station.

It is still under construction. The dock can only build flagship-class battleships at present. The manufacturing of super flagship and mobile fortress-class battleships does not meet the requirements. The equipment needed for special ships is barely available, but the low yield rate makes Liu Wen sad, so it has not been put into production.

According to the current progress, all level five battleships will be manufactured in a year. When the fleet is formed, it will be the time for Liu Wen to apply for the development order. Therefore, he still needs to work hard to make money to fill the gap of the industrial system, which is a gold-devouring behemoth.

Main universe Shuzhong star field, garden.

Liu Wen had dinner with a few kids today to celebrate the fact that Little Fox and Cat made it into the top 500 in the grade in the final exam, out of a total of 1,205 students in that subject in the grade.

”Keep up the good work. This time your two scores have improved by more than 100 places. As promised, each of you will receive a shuttle as a reward, which will be delivered to the space station this afternoon.” Liu Wen pinched the little fox’s tail and gave the reward in the other’s expectant eyes.

”Thank you, Brother Wen! I love you so much! Muah!” The two little foxes held his head and started biting it, obviously very happy.

”Hey! Don’t be happy too soon. I told you before that if your grades drop, the corresponding rewards will be taken back, even if you try to get them back up.” Liu Wen quickly reminded.

”Got it! Hehehe...” The little fox and the cat ran to the side and started discussing where to go to play after the shuttle arrived and who to invite to join them.

In the second world, the Xinghai Group is expanding rapidly, with industries spread across the Shangxia Republic. It is very low-key in the main universe, and has only established several space station headquarters to accommodate the group’s personnel. Liu Wen does not plan to develop too many industries in the main universe, one of the reasons being that he is too busy. After opening up the territory in the later stage, no matter how many industries he has, they will have to be closed down, so he is too lazy to waste the energy.

Seeing the two people running away, the blue fat man shook his head and said, ”Brother Wen, don’t spoil them too much. It’s been two years, and their psychic powers are still at level one. They just play all day and don’t work hard at all. I have already obtained a college diploma in mechanical engineering.”

When Jack heard this, he said proudly, ”I graduated from the School of Business Administration, and my psychic power will soon reach level three. So what? You still need at least half a year to reach level three.”

Just as the blue fat man was about to retort, Frog interrupted with his big eyes: ”Ah, Xiaojie, are you going to reach the third level of psychic power too?”

For a moment, Fatty Blue and Jack were silent. They didn’t know what was going on. Frog had not had much time to practice psychic powers. He knew nothing and had to keep an eye on the Galaxy Fleet, so he had to learn relevant knowledge. But the other party seemed to be very good at practicing psychic powers. He had reached the third level of psychic power half a year ago, two months faster than Liu Wen.

The only problem is that Frog has a high level of psychic power, but lacks sufficient skills to apply it. He cannot even defeat most second-level psychics by using brute force.

”You guys have to speed up, too. You have to at least reach level four psychic before I apply for the development order. That time is not far away, probably just two years.” Liu Wen said with a smile, breaking the silence.

”Don’t worry, Brother Wen. I can definitely reach the fourth-level psychic before the application is submitted.” Jack assured, patting his chest.

”Sir, Li Bingzhen sent a communication request. Would you like to answer it?” The smart butler suddenly appeared.

”Lee Byung-jung? Go ahead and answer it.” Liu Wen was curious about what the other party wanted to talk to him about at this time. He had just finished dealing with the group’s affairs yesterday.

The projection unfolded, and Li Bingzhen saw that the people who were still eating greeted them immediately. After exchanging a few pleasantries, he said to Liu Wen, ”Chairman, the Shuzhong Military Region Garrison has sent an invitation to you to attend a military meeting in three days.”

Liu Wen and the others looked at him curiously: ”What military meeting? Any news?”

Li Bingzhen shook his head: ”I asked Southwest Heavy Industry, and they didn’t have any specific information. I just heard that this meeting was about the distribution of benefits.”

”Distribution of benefits? There is a distribution of benefits at the military meeting. Who are you trying to fool?” The blue fat man was speechless. Which military meeting was not to mobilize civilian forces to take the lead in contributing money, manpower and effort? What’s more, distributing benefits? It’s already very good that you are not asked to send troops to cooperate.

Such military meetings of the garrison are generally mobilization meetings, and cooperation with the garrison’s actions is based on the principle of voluntariness. Therefore, there is no such thing as compensation, because this is the obligation of citizens of the Republic. It’s just that ordinary citizens do not have enough strength, so it basically has nothing to do with them.

”Okay, you try to find out more details in the next two days.” Liu Wen saw that he couldn’t get any information, so he could only accept the invitation. As a garrison soldier, you have no choice but to accept it.

Three days later, Liu Wen and Jack took a shuttle to the garrison area on the stellar megastructure Dyson Ring.

”Autopilot has taken over. Mr. Liu Wen, Mr. Jack, the Shuzhong Military Region welcomes you. We are expected to arrive at the destination in five minutes. Please wait.”

Through the porthole, Liu Wen could see many people who, like himself, had come to the meeting by shuttle, all moving slowly along the course. In the distance there were also people who had come by spaceship, but more than 100 million kilometers away they were forced to shut down their reactors and enter the garrison berths to switch to shuttles.

A rough estimate shows that there are more than two thousand shuttles on the two visible routes alone, and it is not known how many people are participating in other directions or inside the Dyson Ring.

Following the instructions of the smart assistant, the two changed into flying discs on the tarmac and flew towards the target along the main passage which was hundreds of meters wide.

”Hey, isn’t this Mr. Liu? Are you here to attend this meeting as well?”

Hearing the sound coming from behind, Liu Wen and the other man turned around and saw a group of five people, three men and two women, approaching quickly on a frisbee.

”Mr. Xiao Mo, is Mojia Heavy Industries also going to participate in this meeting?” Liu Wen felt even more puzzled after recognizing the other party. Since when did Mojia Heavy Industries, which had never formed a pioneering fleet, also participate in such a meeting? And this was not the right time for procurement.

”Mr. Liu, Mr. Jack, long time no see.” The young, handsome and kind-looking Mo Guangdou stepped forward and shook hands with Liu Wen. His sincere smile made his two rows of white teeth sparkle. As for the people next to him, he had no intention of introducing them at all.

”Mr. Xiao Mo, long time no see. Is your father still upset about letting the star fish run away?” Liu Wen knew the other party because of their business dealings in arms.

It’s not that these veteran arms dealers don’t purchase from outside. The warships and other weapons parts and equipment they produce all need to be tendered externally. The Xinghai Group, which has a complete industrial system and technology tree, is no worse than any level five civilization. Therefore, there is a lot of cooperation between them, and their relationship has naturally improved.

”Don’t mention it. There is only one chance to go fishing in Tianhejie every ten years. The biggest catch was lost. My father is so angry that he still keeps complaining about it. He wants to buy a quota to go fishing again.” When talking about his father, Mo Guangdou’s face twitched constantly. It was really embarrassing. Everyone would ask this question. ”Haha, I happen to have a quota here. The time is two years later. You can take it back to him and tell him to remember to give me half of the catch when the time comes.” Liu Wen smiled and handed over a blue card.

This card is the fishing quota for Tianhe Realm, and only 365 places are open each year, because Tianhe Realm is the only subspace where only fish can be raised. The good fish produced can help ninth-level psychics sprint to psychic saints, and the poor ones can also clear and add a few units of psychic energy. Therefore, it is very popular in the Shangxia Republic and is a high-end fishing spot.

”Ah! Thank you, Mr. Liu. Don’t worry, I will definitely pass on your message.” Mo Guangdou took the card with a look of surprise. They were already very familiar with each other, and it would be bad to be too formal.

The two parties continued on their way. Liu Wen asked the other party if he knew any inside information about the meeting. It turned out that the other party didn’t know either, as the meeting was highly confidential.

Even Mohist Heavy Industry, which could be said to be practicing with the same fellow country, had no information at all. Liu Wen instead became more suspicious that this time he was going to suffer a heavy loss.

The three of them chatted as they walked into a building, which contained at least tens of thousands of seats arranged on different floors.

I found a seat and sat down, chatting and greeting people I knew.

Soon it was time for the meeting. A middle-aged man walked up to the podium and scanned the room with his eyes before introducing himself: ”I am Guo Shigang. On behalf of the Garrison Military Region, I would like to thank you all for coming. Please close the entrances and exits and cut off communications. This meeting is top secret and any information is prohibited from being leaked. Thank you for your cooperation.”

Everyone present consciously turned off all the devices on their bodies. In fact, it didn’t matter whether they turned them off or not, because the garrison had activated the shielding equipment and all personal devices were no longer functional. However, the action of turning off devices was an attitude. Taking action may not necessarily be pleasing to others, but not taking action will definitely make people remember you.

”The meeting is now officially underway.” Guo Shigang said, ”The reason for holding this military meeting is that the garrison has discovered a large subspace that has just been integrated into the Second World. According to preliminary detection, the diameter of the subspace exceeds 1.3 million light years, and there are nearly 30 civilizations in it, the strongest of which is about to enter the ranks of Level 6 civilizations.”

”Here are the detailed information, which has been sent to your desktops.”

”The purpose of this meeting is to invite your fleets to explore. This time, the military zone will activate the military merit system.”

After finishing speaking, Guo Shigang stood on the stage waiting for everyone to check the information.

”Brother Wen, this subspace looks very rich, with abundant psychic energy and a technological level that is no higher than ours. The only worry is that there are so many psychics, and we’re not sure if there is a level seven psychic. Once one appears, the exploration fleet that enters may be wiped out.” Jack said to Liu Wen while looking at the information.

Liu Wen nodded, his eyes becoming brighter and brighter as he looked at the information about the subspace. It was like someone handing him a pillow when he felt sleepy. He was just looking for a place to make money, and he had even set his sights on the Li Luo Galaxy. Now, there was a large subspace that had not yet been developed, with dozens of alien civilizations, underdeveloped technology, but rich resources.

”Now I just feel that my troops are too few. With less than 4,000 warships, we can’t eat much meat. If more large teams go in, we might not even be able to drink two sips of broth.”

”But you’re right. We’re just afraid that a few high-level psychics will come out. Even if they can’t exert their full strength due to insufficient theoretical knowledge, they can still beat us with brute force.”

Not having enough individual combat power has almost become a headache for him. Unfortunately, those who have reached the master level already have contracts. Even those at level five or six are in high demand and cannot be recruited at all. Most of the major group teams rely on time to train themselves.

The Xinghai Group has risen too fast, and the highest level of the Marines is currently only level three. Wei Ming still needs some time to reach level four. He also has to spend a lot of time learning knowledge and honing skills before he can exert his full strength.

Soon everyone finished reading the information and started discussing it with each other. People who knew Liu Wen would ask for his opinion from time to time.

Half an hour later, the discussion died down and everyone had reached their own decision.

At this time, Guo Shigang continued to speak: ”This exploration is voluntary. There is no limit on the number of fleets. The spoils do not need to be public. The scientific and technological information and psychic materials are sold first to the garrison army and traded with the garrison army’s merits.”

”This exploration will begin in half a month. If you have signed up, please make your selection on your desk.”

Liu Wen looked down and saw two options projected on the desktop. Without thinking, he chose to participate in the exploration.

Then another confidentiality agreement appeared on the table. After signing it, Liu Wen noticed that Guo Shigang seemed to glance over here.

The selection was completed quickly, and more than 70% of the participants signed up. Except for Liu Wen’s Xinghai Group, the fleets formed by other groups basically had more than 5,000 warships.

”I am very happy to see the results. More than 70% of the people present chose to participate in the exploration.” Guo Shigang smiled brightly: ”Open the entrance and exit, and ask those who are not participating to leave the meeting room.”

People started to stand up and leave one after another, and within a few minutes there were several hundred fewer people in the conference room.

”Next, please take a look at this document. This is top-secret information that the garrison obtained after sacrificing a large number of reconnaissance ships.” Guo Shigang sent another document to everyone’s desk.

Liu Wen opened it and saw that there were star creatures in the subspace, and they could still be trained!

There were bursts of exclamations one after another, and the participants laughed at the fools who left. Star creatures, even if they were poorly cultivated artificially, could be sold for meat and materials, which would be an inexhaustible source of income!
What’s more, these star creatures have been trained by the creatures of the subspace for dozens of generations. The mission goal set for them by the garrison is to obtain a training technique for star creatures and capture the corresponding star creatures.

”Why doesn’t the garrison take over this subspace themselves?” a representative of a large group asked Guo Shigang.

”It is not convenient for the garrison to take action for the time being. According to investigations, these alien races have experienced invasions before, and quite a few times. The psychic cultivation methods, psychic materials, and space creatures in them were all integrated into the subspace through invasions.”

Guo Shigang replied helplessly: ”Because the invasion was too intense, these alien races have reached a consensus. When they find a large-scale invasion, they will unconditionally unite to tide over the difficulties. They also know that if they are defeated, their civilization will be completely destroyed. Therefore, they have affected the time layer of the subspace through unknown methods.”

”After seeing no hope, I will detonate the space-time layer to cause the subspace to collapse and perish together with the enemy.”

”Although your numbers are huge, you compete more than cooperate with each other, so it won’t cause too much reaction from them. This way, we can gain enough benefits and gradually disintegrate the opponent’s strength, and buy time for the garrison to solve the problem of subspace collapse.”

”In that case, we’ll take this job!” a man clapped his hands excitedly.

”In this case, please plan the corresponding number of fleets. Since we cannot force passage this time, we need to use small star gates to enter. We will arrange the deployment time according to the size of the troops.” Guo Shigang reminded again.

Liu Wen thought for a while, reported both fleets, and specially added ten medium-sized transport ships in order to grab more psychic materials.

Half an hour later, the meeting officially ended. Several familiar company executives came to ask Liu Wen if he was willing to form an alliance and advance and retreat together. After thinking about it, he did not agree immediately, but instead went back to think about it before replying.

After returning to the garden, Liu Wen immediately landed in the second world and convened a meeting of the fleet’s senior personnel.
