Star Lord: Rob the alien race and you will get a hundred times the reward

Chapter 79 Humanity's Will for RevengeChapter 79 Humanity’s Will for Revenge

Xinghai star system, space city number one.

Liu Wen stood in front of the observation deck, holding a teacup in his hand and his thoughts drifting.

After half a month of construction, the transformation process of Planets 3 and 4 has begun, the atmospheric transformation equipment has been deployed, and hundreds of gas collection ships, driven by the Brin people, are collecting raw materials from the two gas planets and transporting them over.

In the orbit of Planet No. 4, two industrial space stations were built, and began to gradually process the common materials and equipment needed in the star system.

The mineral materials collected from the asteroid belt are continuously transported back to the two space stations, and combined with the manufacturing system of the Sera Industrial Zone to establish a basic industrial system for the Xinghai star system, thus separating it from the military merit system of the Sera Industrial Zone.

In order to solve the problem of energy self-sufficiency in the territory, energy collection and conversion equipment built around stars also began to be deployed. Umbrella-like collection devices were deployed outside the stars, collecting the energy emitted by the stars and converting it into various required energies, mainly synthetic elements 95 to 102 of battleships. A small part will be converted into antimatter elements for use in battleships above super flagships. Energy beyond the quota will be converted into relatively cost-effective energy as reserve energy.

The development of the Nix subspace has gradually been put on the right track. After Reina and Wei Ming led the Marines to clear out most of the alien beasts with some high-dimensional properties and exterminate the dinosaur creatures and buildings, they began to transform the territory of the original dinosaur civilization and build a living metropolitan area to prepare to receive immigrants.

Mo Yan and Jack led a team with an escort fleet led by Luo Shaohua to go to the People’s Union to apply for immigration. Even if everything went well, the first batch of immigrants would not arrive until half a year later.

”Sir, Commander Michel and Governor Lee Byung-jeong have arrived at the conference room.” Secretary-General Wen Fei entered the lounge and reported.

Liu Wen nodded, put down his teacup and walked towards the meeting room.

”Your Excellency.” Michelle, Li Bingzhen and others saw Liu Wen coming in and quickly stood up to greet him.

”Please sit down.” Liu Wen waved his hand casually, motioning everyone to sit down.

After a quick look around, it was found that there were a total of thirteen people in the core management of Xinghai Territory, three of whom were still outside and had not returned, so there were only ten people attending the meeting.

”I called you to the meeting this time because there is something I need to seek your opinions on.” Liu Wen said to everyone.

”Please speak, sir.” Li Bingzhen said as if it was the right thing to do.

Liu Wen tapped the table twice and said, ”The territory has now gained a firm foothold. From now on, the Xinghai star system will be our base camp.”

”There is nothing to fear about the surrounding alien races. It is only a matter of time before we destroy them and expand our territory.”

”Now we need to consider the future development direction of the territory. I have thought about it for a long time. According to the normal development of the territory, we need to gradually eliminate the surrounding alien races, establish a security system, build and transform the territory, carry out large-scale immigration, develop industry and commerce, and then gradually expand while defending the territory.”

”But we are different. We have a complete sixth-level technological industrial system, a complete sixth-level applied technological system, and a self-sufficient production system. The only thing we lack is population and resources.”

”The population can only migrate from the human territory. This requires verification by the Human Union before the corresponding immigration indicators are opened. There is no shortcut.”

”But as for resources, we need a lot of them, and they are also the easiest to obtain, so I would like to ask for your advice on how to expand our resource output?”

As soon as Liu Wen raised the question, all the management present felt a little embarrassed. It was not that they didn’t know where to get the resources, but that the current territory had too few troops, only two reorganized legions, and the third legion had not even been set up yet.

It is undoubtedly very difficult to rely on this limited force to expand outward while defending the territory. The surrounding alien races are not really fools. They can intimidate with the seventh-level combat power for a period of time, and can also suppress the alien races so that they dare not attack the territory at will, but this does not mean that they dare not fight back if they come to the door.

Once the aliens find out that they will still be killed if they keep to the rules, then those aliens who survived the war will no longer care about the seventh-level combat power.

Their inevitable choice is to rush in and take over the Star Sea Territory. They don’t even need to connect with each other. As long as they release the fleet and take an offensive posture, other alien races will immediately respond in grief.

By then, even if the Xinghai Territory had special warships, it would only be able to flee in panic when faced with a force dozens or hundreds of times larger than its own, and there would be no possibility of fighting back at all.

Michel was the only senior executive of the fleet present. When the management was at a loss, everyone turned their eyes to him.

Michelle, who was originally immersed in thought, looked up when she felt someone looking at her. The corners of her mouth twitched unconsciously. She felt helpless in her heart. Why hadn’t you been so proactive when she asked you for manpower and equipment?

”Sir.” Michelle could only speak at this time: ”Our top priority at present is to transform the life planet and the Nix subspace, and build an immigrant metropolitan area to accommodate the incoming people.”

”At present, the territory has limited military strength. Even if we expand abroad, we won’t get much benefit. It is better to obtain resources from the Imperial Phoenix Territory through commercial trade, which is more reliable and stable. Although the benefits are not as high as directly plundering foreign races, it is better in the long run and is enough to meet the needs of the territory’s early development.”

”As long as we get through the initial construction phase and the Third Army is formed, we will have the confidence to expand abroad.”

Liu Wen nodded. The development plan submitted by the staff department was also mainly focused on development and construction, but what he wanted was not simply to build a territory, otherwise what would he be asking.

Besides, as someone with a golden finger, what he needs is not farming for development, but external plunder. Only by constantly plundering foreign races can the development of the territory be accelerated, sufficient resources be obtained for construction, and more and stronger scientific and technological knowledge can be obtained to promote scientific research progress. This is what he wants.

”You’re right, but you’re also not right.” Liu Wen said.

”From the beginning to the end, the income of our territory has basically come from foreign races, and it will continue to be so in the future.”

”So, we can’t just stop and farm. If our neighbors store food, we store guns. Our neighbors are our granaries.”

”This is very explicit and realistic. We are exploring the star field here. There is not a stable environment for us to develop with peace of mind. What we need is to grow as fast as possible, build enough fleets, and have combat power above level seven. Only in this way can we defend our territory amidst the turmoil.”

Liu Wen’s words dealt a heavy blow to everyone. The recent peace and tranquility almost made them forget where they were. The development of the star field had never been peaceful. The current peace was just a sign before the storm.

Li Bingzhen said at this time: ”Lord, if we want to continue to fight against the alien races, then I suggest that we give up the surrounding alien races first and choose those that are farther away.”

”Hmm? Make friends with those far away and attack those nearby?” Liu Wen seemed to be thinking about something, but he still carefully asked the other party what he thought.

Li Bingzhen explained: ”Now we have temporarily suppressed the surrounding alien races with the power of the immortal palace monks and forced them to pay tribute. In the short term, as long as our fleet does not formally declare war on them and passes through the periphery of their territory, they will most likely not object and it will be difficult for them to take the risk of attacking the fleet.”

”So these alien races actually provide a defensive barrier for our territory. If we cross them and attack the alien races farther away, after we withdraw to our territory, even if the alien races want to fight back, they have to pass through this line of defense first.” ”If the surrounding alien races give way and let the enemy attack us, then we will have a legitimate reason to go to war with the alien race, thereby reducing the hostility of other alien races towards us.”

When Michelle heard what Li Bingzhen said, her eyes lit up immediately. These people in the office are really sunny and can think of all kinds of dirty tricks.

Liu Wen also nodded repeatedly. This idea of killing two birds with one stone was indeed a good one. He turned to look at Michelle and said, ”Michelle, what do you think of Lee Byung-jung’s proposal for governing the country?”

”Very good, I will send a reconnaissance ship to collect information about the relevant alien races when I return.” Michelle answered affirmatively.

”Okay then, this matter is settled.” Liu Wen announced the adjournment of the meeting and everyone hurried back to the lounge.

Goldfinger information has been updated.

After returning to the lounge, he sat on the sofa and called out to Gold Finger, and a message flooded into his mind.

”The relevant upgrades have been completed. The collective of human defeated has absorbed the human will of resistance and merged into the collective will of human revenge.”

“Function update: Plundering alien races to obtain a hundredfold reward remains the same.”

”Killing the alien race’s living forces will receive corresponding rewards, depending on the number and quality of the alien races killed.”

“The reward method is updated to provide relevant methods for obtaining rewards.”

Liu Wen secretly said, Wow, it turns out you can absorb other human will aggregates, right? If you continue to absorb like this, then you can get rewards as long as you attack aliens, or even better, get proportional rewards, and get rewards for psychic energy when you kill alien psychics?

I just don’t know where this so-called human will to resist comes from. If I could figure it out and find more similar wills to absorb, the ability of the golden finger would definitely increase dramatically.

Unfortunately, there is no instruction manual or anything, and I can only passively receive the information transmitted by the cheat code.

However, now after the upgrade, it is very beneficial to the development of the territory. As long as you kill the aliens, you can get rewards. This is much more efficient than getting rewards by robbing.

Even if the basic reward is not as good as the hundred-fold gain from robbery, what is the most feared thing after a battle?
Winning or losing is acceptable, but what is unacceptable is that no matter whether you win or lose, in the end you lose, and the gains are not as much as the losses.

Now it is equivalent to having war insurance. No matter whether you win or lose the war, as long as you kill the aliens, you can get compensation. If the war damage ratio is favorable to your side, then you make a profit. Even if it is not favorable to your side, at least you don’t lose as much as before, right?

The upgrade of the golden finger gave Liu Wen even stronger confidence. If he couldn’t build a powerful territory by cheating, then he could integrate into the golden finger and become a part of it.

Michelle acted quickly. In just a few days, he dispatched hundreds of reconnaissance ships to the surrounding star fields to investigate the situation, and deployed tens of thousands of detectors.

Through the detection of the reconnaissance ship, except for some alien areas with shielding equipment, the basic situation of most alien forces has been verified, and several suitable targets have been preliminarily screened out.

Michelle found Liu Wen and handed him the combat plan formulated by the General Staff.

Liu Wen took a quick look and said to Michelle, ”I took a look and there is no problem with the combat plan. The target’s military strength is not outstanding, the resource coverage is very wide, and the chance of success is also quite high, but I have a question.”

Michelle: ”Please speak, sir.”

”The target you have chosen is an alien force one hundred light years away. This distance is not far. With clear coordinates, the enemy can directly jump outside our star system.”

”How do you ensure the safety of your territory? And how much profit can you get?”

Michelle was silent for several seconds before speaking: ”Sir, this distance is indeed a bit close, but this is also a choice made after considering the strength of the fleet. The territory must be protected by a fleet. The Galaxy Fleet has been away from the territory for a long time. It will take nearly a month for it to return. It will also take more than two months for the Third Legion Fleet to be formed. Therefore, the troops we can dispatch are very few.”

”For safety reasons, sending out half of the legion’s strength is already the limit. The profit that can be achieved is just raiding a few mining sites, which cannot guarantee much profit.”

Liu Wen clasped his hands together and said, ”You need to consider this comprehensively. Isn’t the purpose of the General Staff to employ so many people just for this?”

”In addition, the Third Legion will be formed within a month, and it will take three months to fully staff it.”

Michelle was stunned. The first thing he thought of was that the production capacity of the Sera Industrial Zone had increased again, and the vassal aliens had increased their investment in workers. No wonder the boss was in a hurry for resources. It seemed that the industrial zone’s reserve resources would not last long.

”I understand, sir.” Michelle stood up and said goodbye, returning to the fleet to continue polishing the battle plan.

At this time, Zhao Nina, who was in charge of business, came over and submitted a business plan.

”Governor Zhao Nina, has your Ministry of Commerce signed the commercial cooperation agreement with the Emperor Phoenix Territory?” Liu Wen asked while checking.

”Yes, Lord.” Zhao Nina smiled and said, ”The Emperor Phoenix Territory seems to be frightened. The envoys they sent took the initiative to reach a comprehensive commercial cooperation with us, including a cooperation plan for civilian products and arms trading.”

”After learning about the performance data of the general-purpose warships for export, we placed an order for 5,000 warships at one time, as well as some orders for large-scale armaments such as land-based fortress guns. The total investment in the first phase of the business was as high as 300 billion contribution points.”

”How are they going to pay?” Liu Wen was more concerned about the money. The landlords had no surplus food. Construction and investment had to be made everywhere, not to mention the arrival of immigrants in the future. There would be more places to spend money. Even if this part could be earned back from the immigrants, it would still require initial investment.

Zhao Nina responded: ”Part of it is cash, and part of it is paid with resources.”

”Okay, no problem, but please note that I don’t accept arrears. It’s a fair trade with no deception.” Liu Wen said clearly.

As the director of the Ministry of Commerce, Zhao Nina naturally knew how much wealth her family had, and also understood Liu Wen’s purpose, so she nodded affirmatively and said, ”I asked them for a deposit of 30 billion, and they will deliver it to us in the form of resources when the time comes.”

”Very good.” Liu Wen nodded with satisfaction.
