Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 592: Chapter 592: This Is Probably Retribution for a Life of Evil

When she entered the treatment room, she indeed saw that woman.

However, this time she was alone; the man did not come with her.

The woman saw Yunyi and said, ”Doctor, I’m sorry, some things happened at home recently, and I haven’t had time to come. These days the pain has become unbearable. I’d like to try the acupuncture you mentioned before.”

Yunyi looked at the woman and deliberately said, ”It’s fine if you want to try it, but acupuncture costs fifty cents each time. It’s not something that can be cured in one or two sessions, and you’ll need the pills I make myself. The cost isn’t low, so you need to think it through.”

She wanted to see what the woman would say, as many villagers were reluctant to spend a large sum on treatment in such cases.

The woman said, ”It’s fine, I know this isn’t a disease that can be cured overnight. I’m mentally prepared.”

Alright, no need to say more, this person definitely has a problem. How could a villager use a phrase like ’overnight’: ”Since you say so, then give it a try. But I must also tell you upfront, the severity of this illness, I think you’re more aware than anyone, a complete cure is unlikely.”

The woman nodded, ”I understand, even just relieving it a bit would be good.”

In her mind, she actually wanted to curse, I’m here to get cured, and you’re talking such discouraging words before even beginning. She was itching to scold her outright, but this is her last hope. Regardless of success, she has to try.

So, she held back.

Yunyi nodded, ”Alright then, I’ll write you a note first, you go pay the fee, and I’ll go get the silver needles, then come to give you acupuncture.”

Yunyi turned around and left the treatment room, and saw Huo Jingrui waiting in her office.

She glanced outward, ”Why are you here?”

Huo Jingrui stood up, first went to the door and looked out, then quietly said, ”I came to ask what you’d like to eat. I’ll make it later.”

Seeing no one outside, he then asked in a low voice, ”How is it, is it that woman?”

Yunyi nodded, ”Yes, but that man didn’t come today. It seems that woman’s gout has gotten worse, and the pain is unbearable. That’s why she decided to give it a try.”

After understanding the situation, Huo Jingrui quietly said, ”Is it possible to make her able to walk a few steps, but not for long periods?”

Yunyi smiled faintly at him, ”Rest assured, I understand what you mean.”

With that, she took a box of silver needles and a small bottle of her concoction, and left the office.

Seeing that the woman had already returned to the treatment room: ”Today, I’ll help to open up the energy channels in your leg first. Feel around to see if your foot feels any better after acupuncture.”

Seeing the woman’s nod in response.

Yunyi pointed to the examination bed, ”Roll up your pants and lie down, let’s start.”

Seeing her grimacing in pain as she lifted her leg, Yunyi thought to herself: This is probably karma for too many wrongdoings.

Yunyi skillfully inserted the medicated silver needles into various acupuncture points. As the silver needles entered the points, a warm current was infused, making the woman breathe more easily.

Yunyi acted quickly, and in no time, she had finished all the necessary needlework, ”About those pills I mentioned before, would you like to take them?”

The woman let out a soft ”hmm.”

Yunyi took the note and directly prescribed the medicine, ”After I remove the needles, pay the fee and go to the pharmacy at the back to pick it up.”

Putting away the medicinal solution, she said, ”I’ll come back in half an hour to remove the needles, don’t move around.”
