Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 589: Chapter 589: The Yuan Family Grandfather and Grandson Return to Beijing

The car sped all the way to Hua’an Farm Reclamation.

Yuan Yuxun and Yuan Zining kept looking at the scenery outside the window; they hadn’t left Nanbai Village since they were sent there.

No, they hadn’t even left that area. Their range of activity was limited to the sheep pen and the back mountain; they hadn’t gone anywhere farther.

Now that they were about to leave, they were filled with curiosity for the land outside the window.

Yuan Zining thought of something and quietly said, ”Grandpa, Master Aunt works so hard.”

Yuan Yuxun understood his grandson’s meaning and explained, ”Taking the main road will be further; if we go by the small path over the back mountain, it’ll be closer.”

He didn’t say anything more. After all, if it were someone else, they might not have the courage to take the back mountain path at night. He knew this little apprentice of his was not an ordinary person, but there was no need to tell his grandson these things.

When the car arrived outside Hua’an Farm Reclamation, the bus on the opposite side had just stopped too.

Yuan Yuxun and the others asked for directions to the clinic, and the car headed straight there.

As soon as the car stopped, Yuan Zining was eager to get out.

Fang Rusheng hadn’t expected that this little guy, after living in such a place for so long, could still maintain such a temperament, smiling as he got out to help him open the car door.

Yuan Zining jumped out of the car, looked up at the sign above the clinic to confirm, then turned to his grandpa who was getting out of the car: ”Grandpa, I’m going to find Master Aunt.”

Fang Rusheng, hearing this form of address, finally understood why Elder Yuan insisted on coming here before returning to Beijing.

With approval granted, the little guy stepped into the clinic.

At first glance, he saw Doctor Qiu wearing a white coat and ran over: ”Doctor Uncle, I’m looking for Doctor Chu, where is she?”

Doctor Qiu looked at the anxious little boy gazing up at him: ”Why are you looking for her? Did something happen?”

Yuan Zining’s crisp voice sounded again: ”She is my Master Aunt.”

Doctor Qiu was taken aback for a moment: ”She’s your Master Aunt?”

Yuan Zining nodded: ”Yes.”

As he spoke, Yuan Yuxun also walked in: ”Zining, don’t be rude.”

Doctor Qiu, hearing the voice, looked over and thought this person seemed familiar: ”Who are you?”

Yuan Yuxun walked a few steps forward and then stopped: ”I am the master of Chuyunyi, my name is Yuan Yuxun.”

As soon as he said his name, Doctor Qiu remembered: ”Are you Dean Yuan?”

Yuan Yuxun waved his hand: ”That was before, you can’t call me that now.”

He said he would resume his post, but after returning to Beijing, he wasn’t sure what the situation would be, so he didn’t dare let people call him that.

Doctor Qiu was somewhat excited: ”Elder Yuan, is it okay if I call you that?”

At this moment, Yunyi happened to walk in from outside. Seeing the people standing there, she froze for a moment and then reacted: ”Master, Zining.”

Yuan Yuxun first responded to Doctor Qiu’s question, then quickly turned around: ”Yunyi.”

Yuan Zining shot towards Yunyi like a little cannonball: ”Master Aunt.”

Yunyi then recalled the Beijing license plate jeep parked outside, hugging the little guy while looking at her Master: ”We can go back, right?”

Yuan Yuxun, hearing Yunyi’s words, suddenly felt his eyes moistening: ”Yes.”

Yunyi didn’t say anything more, knowing that this day would eventually come.

She squatted down, looking at the little guy: ”Zining, go back to Beijing with Grandpa first. Once I get the chance, I’ll go back to Beijing. Can Zining help me take good care of Grandpa?”

Yuan Zining choked up: ”Then Master Aunt shouldn’t make Zining wait too long.”

Though young, he also understood Master Aunt couldn’t leave as she pleased.

Seeing his pitiful look, Yunyi wiped away his tears: ”Aren’t you a little man, Zining?”

She smiled, gently tapped his little nose, then leaned to his ear: ”You and Grandpa go back to Beijing first, by year-end at the latest, Master Aunt will be back. But this is our little secret, okay?”

Yuan Zining took a step back, glaring with his big, watery eyes: ”Really?”

Yunyi laughed: ”When have I ever lied to you?”

Thinking that Yuan Zining was also of school age and knowing he would soon be going to school after returning to Beijing: ”Study well after you go back. Without Master Aunt supervising, you have to be self-disciplined. Remember that?”

Yuan Zining nodded heavily: ”Yes, I remember, Master Aunt should come to us soon.”

He then reddened his eyes again: ”Zining will miss Master Aunt.”

And then, unable to control it any longer, he hugged Yunyi and cried: ”I can’t bear to leave Master Aunt.”
