Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 733: Forgotten World, Cyria 229. Part-1.

Planet Cyria-229.

In the vast plains of deadly quicksand, hundreds of thousands of monsters rushed towards a single spot from all directions!

Most of them sank in sand and died; some were crushed beneath the feet of their comrades, and some died from having too much miasma in their bodies.

But even after so many deaths and so much chaos, the monster tide did not seem to become smaller in the slightest!

Sandworms, gigantic snakes, scorpions, wyverns, griffins, etc., there were hundreds of thousands of monsters that were cooperating with each other and encircling Link and the others from all sides.

Miasma thick enough to instantly kill an A-ranker permeated the air, forcing Riya to deploy her healing field to resist miasmic corruption.

”What is even going on here? This scene... it reminds me of when Alverto used his legendary skill, soul resonance, to summon hundreds of thousands of demons and monsters to attack us in the Ascension Spire...”

Confusion and bewilderment appeared on Link’s face as he narrowed his eyes while looking at the monster tide.

”Is there someone with the same ability as Alverto out there who’s conspiring against us? But that wouldn’t explain the strange teleportation though...”

Hearing Link’s words, Lia shook her head.

”No... I don’t sense anything odd at play here... the strings of destiny of all these monsters seem pretty normal to me...”

”The main reason they all seem to be rushing at us is just because of miasma driving them crazy and likely asking them to target us... but that begs the question... why would miasma target us like that?”

Riya, who had completed expanding her healing field, suddenly spoke out at that moment.

”It’s aimed at me... As a blessed of the ’World’ and the ’Inheritor of the Heart of Eternal Nirvana’... I am like a lightbulb in darkness...”

”Once I get teleported inside a miasma-rich place, all monsters in the area will rush towards me and target me relentlessly because miasma will not tolerate my existence in its domain...”

Kai also nodded his head at Riya’s words.

”Indeed, this planet seems to have a very high density of miasma in the air... the density of miasma is almost reaching 90 percent in the atmosphere while mana is only 10 percent at most...”

”We are in a different galaxy and on a different planet, so things will work differently here; you lot need to be more careful and protect the pink kiddo more until you leave this place...”

Hearing those words, Lia could only sigh and cast a powerful spirit magic shield on Riya.

”Mana density in the atmosphere is low here; don’t use your healing field too much; it would be troublesome if you ran out of mana...”

”Just maintain a basic purification magic field around us two; we will take care of any danger that might come your way...”

Riya nodded at Lia’s words and agreed immediately.

They were all old comrades who had fought many life-and-death battles together!

And by now, they all had a mutual understanding between them that keeping the group healer safe was the biggest priority in every battle.

As long as Riya is there, she can bring them back to life even if they are almost half-dead... no. She can now resurrect them even if they died, as she has the mythical ’Resurrection’ ability in her possession!

Just as Lia and the others were about to start fighting, Lia’s prediction ability reacted to something, and she suddenly spoke up.

”Hmm? The strings of destiny... they seem to be asking us to go in that direction for some reason...”

”Link, we need to break out of this encirclement and head towards that direction...”

At Lia’s words, Link glanced in the direction where dozens of S-rank monsters were rushing from, and his eyes narrowed.

”They have placed more security there... that means they are trying to stop us from going there.”

”I will open up a path; you two follow behind me... Lia, I leave Riya’s safety to you.”

With that said, Link took a step forward, assumed his martial stance, and smiled.

”Ever since I became an S-ranker, I haven’t gotten the chance to go wild to my heart’s content; I am actually happy that you all came to attack me...”

”I was just in need of some practice targets for my new skills, hehe~”

[Dao Rhythm: Yin and Yang Harmony!]

[Divine Dragon Martial Art: Cosmic Rhythm Manipulation: Spatial Rupture!]

As if a shadow of Ashtel Rex had manifested in his body, Link’s skill and form accurately recreated Ashtel’s combat art!

Link punched the empty air like Ashtel, and in the shocked eyes of Riya, Lia, and Kai, Link smashed a hole in the space-time fabric just like Ashtel!

*BOOOOM!!!* *CRACK!!!* *SHATTER!!!*

The space-time fabric cracked and shattered like fragile glass, and hundreds of thousands of monsters were completely erased from existence as a massive void crack was forcefully created by Link.

”HAHA!!! I did it!!!”

A wide grin appeared on Link’s face as he clenched his fist and stared at his masterpiece in pride!

”I knew it! Just enhancing your body and making yourself strong was not the only thing that ’Dao Rhythm’ could do!”

”It’s much more versatile than that! It can help me borrow the powers of the very ’Dao’ of the universe! Hahahaha!!!”

Dao Rhythm is not just a defensive ability; it grants the user a deep understanding of the very ’Rhythm’ of the universe!

The universe is never stagnant; it is ever-changing, and it continuously tries to evolve to a better and more stable state of existence.

All of the cosmic laws of the universe thus follow a particular rhythm of improvement, and if you can grasp this universal rhythm of change and evolution, you can use the power of the very universe for yourself!

”Reaching beyond 95 percent mastery over your legendary skills is really miraculous! No wonder Rio can use so many skills and has such powerful abilities...”

”Once a legendary skill reaches 95 percent or above level mastery... it evolves into a higher form...”

Looking at his fists that could now shatter the space-time fabric, Link felt emotional.

’From a weak fist that could not even kill a mere chicken to a void-shattering beast... I have come a long way.’
