Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf

Chapter 151: Chapter 133: The Polar Night Returns, Advance Two Levels in a Row.

The Little Lone Wolf led the Wolf Pack through the territory, leaving a path where animals fled and birds scattered.

Even several Polar Bears on the ice only stood at their caves and did not provoke the rushing pack of wolves.

After all, a Wolf Pack of such scale could easily overwhelm them with mere coordination in hunting.

At that moment, the howling Wolf Pack had once again locked onto the location of the Variant Species Lynx.

The Little Lone Wolf decided that even at some cost, they must completely eradicate this Variant Species Lynx!

Otherwise, as time passed, the threat posed by the Wolf Pack to the Lynx would only increase.

And it was at this time,

the Cousin and Xiao Hui, still at the original territory, began quietly recruiting some stray Lone Wolves from the peripheral areas.

Because after several days of searching in vain for Su Lin, both of them felt uneasy.

Expanding the Wolf Pack,

on one hand, was to protect the current territory,

on the other hand, it was to ensure they had some means of self-defense, for if Su Lin was gone, they feared that even if the Wolf Father led the Wolf Pack here, they might not withstand the Little Lone Wolf.

After all, the ferocious combat prowess of the Little Lone Wolf was widely recognized!

For now, the Wolf Pack in the cave was temporarily under the Cousin’s command.

Although she was only an Ordinary Species and had not evolved into a Variant Species, with a not so high intelligence,

with Xiao Hui’s assistance, the expansion over these days had gone rather smoothly.

They had recruited four Wolfesses and two Level Five Wolves.

The Wolfesses were assigned to the patrol squad under the Cousin’s command,

and the two Wolves followed Xiao Hui, taking up the main guarding and hunting tasks for the Wolf Pack.

As for the flesh of the Variant Species in the cave, the Cousin continued to allocate it according to the shares previously given out by Su Lin, still distributing it to Xiao Hui, Xiao Bai, Wolf Sister, and the Grey White Little Wolf.

Their strengths also continued to grow with each passing day.

Especially Xiao Bai, who was showing signs of breaking through to Level Four.

A Level Four Xiao Bai might even stand a chance against a Level Five Peak Ordinary Arctic Wolf.

With the innate potential for growth and a terrifying rate of development being a Polar Bear Cub, Xiao Bai’s progress was impressive.

The Cousin’s squad of ten Wolfesses, as usual, alternated between patrolling the territory and searching for traces of the Wolf King.

The search area expanded to within a radius of five to six hundred miles, yet there was still no news of Su Lin.

…..

Time slowly trickled by, and another twenty-odd days flashed past.

The region near the Arctic Heart was the first to shift from the Midnight Sun to the Polar Night.

Every half year, the Pole Heart would undergo a transition from darkness to light and back again.

The pitch-black night once again descended upon the Arctic Tundra, casting a deeper silence over an already quiet Arctic Heart.

Aside from the occasional howling winds, there was no sound to be heard.

The temperature dropped from negative sixty or seventy degrees to around negative one hundred degrees.

This temperature surpassed all historical records.

But for Su Lin, with his exceptional resistance to cold, the bone-chilling cold of the negative hundreds did not affect him at all.

These past days in the Ice Cave, he had finished eating the tentacles of the Giant King Squid and the petals of the Ice Mountain Lotus.

Even the Ice Mountain Lotus itself was left with only three petals after Su Lin’s consumption.

Altogether, they provided him with about one hundred and seventy thousand Evolution Points!

This allowed Su Lin to level up two levels in a row, breaking through to Level Fourteen!

The difficulty of Su Lin’s advancement far exceeded that of Variant Species, but correspondingly, the strength he gained from leveling up also far exceeded that of ordinary Variants.

With his current combat power, he could easily hunt down Variant Species of around Level Twenty.

Name: Su Lin.

Species: Arctic Wolf.

Genetic Hierarchy: I.

Level: Fourteen. (160,000 Evolution Points needed for the next level-up.)

Qi-Blood: 4,100.

Endurance: 350.

Strength: 380.

“`

Defense: 360.

Speed: 570.

Evolution Points: 91500.

Talent: Hunting (C grade), Stealth (B grade), Healing (A grade).

The enhancements Su Lin received each time he leveled up were always very significant!

Advancing two levels in a row greatly increased his strength to a whole new height!

By now, his fur and flesh’s defensive power had reached a terrifying extent.

It surpassed that of ordinary Polar Bears by several times!

Pure white and thick fur fluttered in the cold wind blowing at the entrance of the ice cave.

Su Lin could control this thick fur at will.

When facing danger and attacks, it could become incredibly tough; even strikes with several tons of force would hardly breach Su Lin’s defenses.

Su Lin’s size had also grown close to six meters in length, and if you included the wolf tail, it was over eight meters!

An eight-meter-plus member of the Wolf Clan!

This size meant he was nothing short of a behemoth!

If Su Lin were to encounter a large Wolf Pack with one or two hundred members now, he could easily slaughter them until the blood flowed like rivers!

With his current strength and size, ordinary members of the Wolf Clan wouldn’t be able to disturb him in the slightest!

As for Su Lin’s speed, he had allocated all the additional attribute points gained from leveling up into it.

This brought his Speed Value to an astonishing 570.

Supersonic Speed!

Genuine supersonic speed.

This increase in strength could be said to be tremendously significant.

But Su Lin still refrained from exploring the Ice Mountain again, as the power within the Mysterious Iceberg made one’s heart palpitate deeply.

He didn’t plan to explore it again in the short term.

However, in the past few days, Su Lin still wandered around the outskirts of the Ice Mountain, hoping to spot any Hunters coming out.

This was because he was still obsessed with the flesh of the Variant Species Polar Bear.

After all, that Variant Species Polar Bear weighed a good three tons plus, equating to six to seven thousand pounds of Variant Species flesh.

Such a vast amount of Variant Species flesh, even if consumed by himself, could provide at least thirty to forty thousand Evolution Points.

Therefore, he intended to see if there were other exits within the Mysterious Iceberg.

He didn’t spot any Hunters during his vigil, but he did stumble upon two Werewolves.

These Werewolves were extremely frail and had intelligence only on par with ordinary Wolf Clan members, possessing no ability to discern independently.

In addition to that, Werewolves had an innate trust in the Wolf Clan.

Seeing Su Lin’s massive eight-meter wolf body, they immediately knelt down and began to worship.

This caused the murderous intent that had filled Su Lin to weaken somewhat, and he simply approached the Werewolves to inquire about the recent situation in the Ice Mountain Cave.

The Werewolves communicated with howls, and although they could only convey simple ideas, Su Lin still roughly understood them.

Through their intermittent low howling, he roughly learned that the forces of various Hunters in the Ice Mountain Cave had been shaken since that Variant Species Polar Bear had been torn apart.

In just a few short days, the Ice Mountain Cave had gathered seven or eight Kinai Mountain Wolf Packs.

Seven or eight Kinai Mountain Wolf Packs meant there were at least seven or eight Variant Lead Wolves!

The number of members of the Bear Clan had also increased to seventeen or eighteen.

Besides them, a group of Arctic Silver Foxes measuring two to three meters had also appeared.

The three sides were confronting each other in the vast Ice Mountain Cave.

This made Su Lin realize that the waters of the Mysterious Iceberg were very muddy.

He feared that in addition to the two giant Ice Mountain Lotus Flowers, there were at least two powers not inferior to the Ice Mountain Lotus.

In the end, he abandoned the idea of dragging out the Variant Species Polar Bear.

But standing at the entrance of the Ice Cave, Su Lin’s Wolf Eyes still gazed at the towering and massive iceberg in the distance.

Sooner or later, he would return to explore this Mysterious Iceberg.

After all, it contained too many Exotic Flowers and Rare Herbs, all providing the Pure Energy he needed on his path of evolution.
