Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf

Chapter 115: Chapter 109: The Wolf Pack Grows Stronger.

This day marked the complete cessation of the howling blizzard, as well as the day the wolf pack aggressively expanded its territory.

Many species in this area had caught the scent of the wolf pack.

Yet all hunters, upon seeing the increasingly formidable wolf pack, could only retract their fanged teeth and talons, crouching in the snow without daring to make the slightest sound.

The large herbivorous species all revealed unease in their eyes.

Especially the lone wolves and lynxes, who were extremely anxious.

Previously, this region was chaotic, with territories of a dozen hunters overlapping each other.

Therefore, as they roamed this region, they could still feast upon leftovers and, with some luck, even snatch up some fresh food.

But once the White Wolf’s pack completely unified the area, they would have no choice but to roam farther afield or submit to the wolf pack.

There was no third option.

Resist the wolf pack?

Not to mention the robust White Wolf of four meters in length, even the Beta Wolves within the pack were not something they could contend with.

Now joined by three new wolves, the Su Lin Wolf Pack had expanded to a strength of 13, which made their presence even more overbearing.

Driven by a fierce aura, the Little Lone Wolf led the three newly joined members, spearheading the assault on the remaining two wolf packs.

After a bloody suppression and slaughter, the two packs submitted in fear as well.

In the brutal natural world, there was nothing too complicated.

Whoever was stronger was king!

Both Lead Wolves of the two packs were killed by the Little Lone Wolf.

The last Lead Wolf was very powerful, with abilities nearly identical to those of Wolf Father, both at the peak of Level 6 in strength.

He was also brave and skilled in battle, with rich combat experience.

But in the end, he was no match for the brutal Little Lone Wolf. After a dozen or so exchanges, the Little Lone Wolf ripped his eyes apart.

Blinded, he quickly fell at a disadvantage.

Soon, the Little Lone Wolf bit through his throat.

A Lead Wolf who once reigned over the Arctic Tundra came to a tragic end.

However, perhaps due to deep affection for the former Lead Wolf, the entire pack was unwilling to accept Su Lin’s assimilation, triggering an intense rebellion.

Su Lin did not intervene but watched quietly as the packs clashed among themselves.

This also served to let his wolves taste blood,

so they wouldn’t falter when true bloodshed was required, failing to use their strength to its full potential.

“Ao!”

“Ao!”

“Ao!”

…

In this final battle of wolf pack assimilation, even Wolf Sister and the Grey White Little Wolf plunged into the fray.

Despite their strengths not falling short of a Level 4 Arctic Wolf, due to a lack of real-life experience in deadly battles between wolf clans, the two working together were only just able to hold off a Level 4 female Arctic Wolf.

To think their fighting power was so lacking, it was even worse than Xiao Hui’s.

However, Su Lin did not say anything, as this was all within his expectations.

After a long struggle, the wolf pack emerged victorious, having killed three Arctic Wolves and with all the other wolves injured,

the members of these clans finally lay whimpering on the ground, signaling submission.

After submission, Su Lin still had the Little Lone Wolf kill two of the most defiant wolves.

This was to establish authority over the remaining wolves!

Only the most ruthless methods could truly deter these wolves accustomed to gambling with their lives between life and death.

Now that two more wolf packs had been assimilated,

The strength of the Su Lin Wolf Pack had swelled to 21 members.

This number might not sound like much, but on the Arctic tundra, it was considered quite a sizeable wolf pack.

He had reorganized the wolf pack.

The Beta Wolves within the pack were still Xiao Hui, Little Lone Wolf, and Cousin.

All four Wolfesses from the original pack were now under Cousin’s command, taking on the task of patrolling the wolf pack territory, reporting back to Cousin on a daily basis.

As a result, the four Wolfesses followed Cousin loyally after a sequence of low howls.

Xiao Hui, Wolf Sister, Grey White Little Wolf, and the Polar Bear Cub were the ones following him closely, serving as Su Lin’s Imperial Guard Wolf Tribe.

All four were Variant Species,

and although their combat strength was not yet apparent, with time, they would eventually become the mainstay of the wolf pack.

The remaining members of the Wolf Clan were all under the command of Little Lone Wolf, totaling eleven Wolves.

It could be said that the majority of the wolf pack members were led by Little Lone Wolf!

It was an honor of the highest order.

This made Little Lone Wolf so thrilled that he remained lying at Su Lin’s feet, a gesture of his loyalty.

Among these eleven members of the Wolf Clan, there was one Arctic Wolf that had just reached Level 6, and five male Wolves had arrived at Level 5, while the rest were Level 4 Wolf Clan members.

Their combined strength was also respectable, with Little Lone Wolf as their leader, they already constituted a powerful force capable of dominating the Arctic tundra.

In the future, they would serve as the main force for carrying out tasks.

Next,

Su Lin led them in newly demarcating the range of their wolf pack territory, incorporating the territories of the two deceased Polar Bears completely.

The wolf pack’s territory range had officially reached an astounding 1,800 kilometers.

As for the prey within the territory, Su Lin surveyed the area.

He noticed that after the brutal blizzard, not many large herbivores had survived.

Currently, there were only a few scattered Moose Herds, a Sika Deer Herd, a Musk Ox Group, and three Reindeer Groups—that was the general extent of the surviving prey in his hunting grounds.

These animals were also very weak from hunger, searching in the snow-covered tundra for moss and shrubs that were not yet buried to eat.

Regarding these prey animals, Su Lin ordered Little Lone Wolf to hold off on hunting them for the time being.

With the arrival of the Midnight Sun, moss and shrubs would start to grow rapidly; they would wait for these prey animals to fatten up a bit more before hunting.

Since the number of prey was limited, it was necessary to maximize the efficiency of food utilization.

Along the way, Su Lin also looked for the traces of the Variant Species Grizzly Bear.

However, he couldn’t find any, suggesting that the Variant Species Grizzly Bear must be hiding somewhere.

This brought a hint of ferocity into Su Lin’s golden brown Wolf Eyes.

Without dealing with the Variant Species Grizzly Bear, there would always be a potential danger.

He instructed the wolf pack to be vigilant for any Bear Clan that might appear in their territory or the vicinity.

And to report back to the cave if any were spotted.

Su Lin did not order the Wolves to search widely for the Variant Species Grizzly Bear.

Because the strength of the Variant Species Grizzly Bear was formidable,

even if Little Lone Wolf led the eleven Wolves against it, many would likely perish.

This had been clearly confirmed when Su Lin was battling with the large wolf pack before.

No matter how numerous a wolf pack was, without a truly strong member to restrain the enemy, it would only cost the lives of countless wolves to deplete the enemy’s physical strength.

Although Little Lone Wolf was also a Variant Species, to restrain that Grizzly Bear,

he would need to advance to Level 10 and possess Talent to even be qualified for the task.

Besides that Variant Species Grizzly Bear, other members of the Bear Clan were no longer much of a threat to the wolf pack.
