I Get A Random New Occupation Every Week

Chapter 837 - 837 Are You Still Afraid of Death?

837 Are You Still Afraid of Death?

Lin Yi’s idea was to casually show off a few moves and send these people away.

Unexpectedly, these people actually pushed their luck.

Li Sheng was sent flying a few meters away by the kick. He landed heavily on the ground and vomited blood.

Hiss!

!!
Seeing Li Sheng’s miserable state, everyone present sucked in a breath of cold air.

Who was this man?

He was so thin, but he was actually so strong?

Yan Ci stood there expressionlessly. Lin Yi’s temper was really bad.

Lin Yi looked at Zhang Xu. “Do you want to give it a try? Do you want to see if I’m qualified to be invited here?”

“No, that won’t be necessary.”

Zhang Xu waved his hands and took two steps back in fear.

He originally thought that Lin Yi was only slightly stronger than him, but there was definitely a gap between him and these registered contestants.

He did not expect him to be so strong.

“Let’s go,” Lin Yi said to Yan Ci.

The latter nodded, and the two of them went up to the second floor together. Chen Dongzhe, who had been so arrogant earlier, had also given up at this moment.

He wasn’t sure if he was Lin Yi’s match.

If he lost, it would be embarrassing.

After all, with his strength, it was not difficult for him to pass the physical fitness test.

The two of them arrived at the small meeting room on the second floor. Lin Yi saw that there were more than ten people inside, and most of them were men.

However, the people sitting here were very different from the muscular men outside.

They could only be described as having good figures. Did this not necessarily equate to being strong.

There were also professional staff around these people who explained the relevant rules to them.

The service could be said to be very considerate.

Seeing Lin Yi and Yan Ci enter, everyone in the room turned to look at them.

The combination of a handsome man and a beautiful woman was really eye-catching.

“Sister, look at that boy. He’s so handsome. He seems to have received an invitation.”

The person who spoke was a girl in a white sweater. She was not tall and gave off a petite and exquisite aura.

However, in this season, she was the only person who wore so little clothing.

Beside her was a woman with a ponytail. She had short, refreshing hairstyle that matched her good-looking oval face.

“He’s probably an expert in wilderness survival. He’s not the same kind of person as us.”

After all, this was a wilderness survival program. Both strength and wilderness survival skills were equally important.

Therefore, those who were not strong enough to pass the test would probably be directly invited here.

The production team would also pay special attention to people who had rich wilderness survival knowledge.

“Isn’t that fitting? This is your shortcoming. If you can team up with him, you will definitely be able to go further.”

“Lele, you’re too serious. With Jani and my abilities, we don’t need anyone’s help at all.”

The man who spoke sat beside the short-haired woman. His skin was bronze and he wore a pair of diamond earrings. He crossed his legs and looked very disapproving.

“Brother Hang, don’t say that. The production team has set such a high bonus. There must be a lot of experts participating. You have to be careful. It’s best if you find someone to form an alliance with.”

“There’s no point in forming an alliance. We won’t be able to show our strength like this,” the short-haired man said. “As long as I join forces with your Sister Jiani, it won’t be a problem for us to get first place.”

The girl named Jiani tilted her head and looked at Lin Yi in the back row.

He didn’t seem to agree with the short-haired man’s point of view.

The more people there were, the more power they would have. After all, this kind of program was full of uncertainty. It was not possible to get first place just because one was strong.

“Were these people invited too?” Lin Yi asked from the back seat.

Yan Ci nodded. “Are you surprised? Many shows do similar things.”

“I thought you were bluffing just now. I didn’t expect it to really happen.”

“I’m just a director. I don’t have as much power as you think. I don’t dare to spout nonsense regarding the rules.”

Lin Yi looked at the people around him again. “Are these people that impressive?”

“They’re all very powerful. Some of them are experts in wilderness survival and are very famous worldwide. The rest are very skilled at combat and athletics. They’re similar to you. In short, none of them are simple.”

“Isn’t this show a reality show? Why is it so grand?”

“You can say it’s a reality show, but it’s not faked at all. Our show is different from the others.”

“I remember you said before that this program is going to be live streamed, right?”

Yan Ci shrugged regretfully. “My idea was to do a live stream, but it ended up being rejected by the station head. There are too many factors that can’t be controlled. Lastly, thinking about it, what the station head said makes sense, and it’s not convenient for us to sell advertisements like this.”

Lin Yi nodded. Yan Ci was right.

Live streaming was indeed not suitable for shows that went on too long. There would be a lot of unnecessary expenses in terms of costs and expenses. Moreover, the longer the time the show ran, the less interesting it would be.

Although live streams were real, they would not be as interesting as edited content.

“Have you decided on the location?”

Yan Ci tilted her head. “The conditions on a deserted island at sea are very harsh. You have to be mentally prepared.”

“This is getting serious.”

“It can’t be helped. This is a joint event organized by several television stations. Naturally, we have to choose some interesting locations,” Yan Ci said.

“And you also know that those foreigners are all daredevils. If we choose an ordinary location, we would definitely be criticized. Moreover, we are the initiators of this program, so we have to be a little serious. Otherwise, we would not be so strict with even the registration process.

“Could someone die?”

“Are you afraid of dying?”

“Of course. I didn’t marry or given birth to a child yet. How could I not be afraid of death?”

Yan Ci smiled coquettishly. “Don’t worry. We’ve set up a lot of safety measures. As long as you don’t intentionally court death, there won’t be a problem.”

“When will this show start filming?”

“In half a month, because there’s still a lot of preparation work to do,” Yan Ci said.

“Take a look at the agreement first. If there’s no problem, sign it.”

Lin Yi glanced at the agreement. The main content was concerning safety.

“The production team can guarantee your safety, but if there’s an accident, these production teams won’t compensate you. How much you get will depend on how much you are insured by the insurance company.”

It could be said that they had redirected the blame.

“Other than that, the prize money has also been announced. The first place will receive a reward of five million dollars, second place will receive three million, and third place will receive one million.”

Moreover, they would also receive a corresponding cash reward according to the final ranking.

Most importantly, as long as one was shortlisted, they would receive a basic reward of US$500.

This was definitely unprecedented in the history of reality shows.

However, Lin Yi also knew that there was no such thing as a free lunch in this world. Since the other party had offered up such a high reward, they as contestants would naturally be expected to earn their keep, possibly by facing dangerous situations.

Lin Yi smiled and muttered to himself,

“This show seems to be quite interesting.”
