Chapter 811 - 811 Making an Issue of Appearance

811 Making an Issue of Appearance

After leaving the teahouse, Lin Yi got into the car.

She took out her phone and saw a WeChat message from Ji Qingyan.

She was telling him to call her back once he was done.

Other than that, there was also a missed call from Zhang Xiaoyu.

!!
Lin Yi took out his phone and called Ji Qingyan.

He briefly told her what had happened and told her that he was safe so that she wouldn’t worry.

However, Lin Yi didn’t say much about the Mitsui Financial Group in case she started to worry.

Apart from that, he also called Zhang Xiaoyu back.

“Brother Lin, the live stream is tomorrow night. Has the platform arranged a live stream venue for you? Should we go to the venue to take a look around first?”

“Li Lin told me about this and asked me to make my own arrangements. When the time comes, they will send someone over to head the overall process.”

“In other words, we’ll have to find the venue ourselves.”

“That’s what I mean. Do you have any recommendations?” Lin Yi asked.

“Do you want to get a boat and stream from there?”

“Haha, Brother Lin, no wonder Brother Liang always said that you have a lot of tricks up your sleeve. It’s true. You actually thought of doing a live stream at sea.”

“It’s a new idea.”

“The novelty is there, but it’s not stable enough. If there are any mishaps, it’ll be difficult to deal with them while at sea, so we have to find a more reliable location. It’s best if it’s a hotel or something. That kind of place is big enough and classy enough.”

“How’s the Peninsula Hotel?”

“The Peninsula Hotel? That’s great. Its size can be ranked in the top three in Zhonghai.” Zhang Xiaoyu said.

“But the Peninsula Hotel seems to always be packed. If you want to use that place, you have to reserve it in advance.”

“It’s my business, so there’s no need to book it.”

“Uh… Other than that you are awesome, I can’t say anything more.” Zhang Xiaoyu said exaggeratedly, “Do we need to be responsible for the decoration of the venue?”

“There seems to be an issue with naming rights, so she only asked me to choose the place and leave the rest to her.”

“Alright, alright, alright. I understand.”

After a simple chat, Lin Yi hung up and called Li Lin to tell her about the matter.

He would leave the rest of the trivial matters to her. He was happy to be free.

After arranging this series of things, Lin Yi drove to Chaoyang Group.

There, he busied himself with the Chip 3.0 for a while before driving home with Ji Qingyan.

After returning home, the two of them lived the life of a normal young couple. There were no ripples or tension.

Lin Yi didn’t feel anything about the live stream the next day. His days were going on normally and he wasn’t bothered at all.

However, in the dark, many people were busy preparing for the next day’s live stream.

The Four Seasons Hotel was one of the many five-star hotels in Zhonghai.

Although it was also very high-class, it was still a certain distance away from the Peninsula Hotel.

In a suite on the eighth floor of the hotel, five or six people were gathered there.

Among these people, Lin Yi knew two of them.

One of them was Li Weiqiang, who had a conflict with him previously.

The other was Guo Shibo, a former executive who had left Douyu.

After being fired, he came to Kuaishou.

However, after coming here, Guo Shibo maintained his position as the head of operations. In terms of rank, he was slightly lower than Li Wei.

In addition, there was a woman in a long dress sitting on the sofa at the side.

She had long, wavy hair, but it was pulled back into a ponytail. Her face was expressionless, so no one could tell what she was thinking.

The woman’s name was Zhou Bingyang. She was the top female streamer on Kuaishou. Her ID was Yangyang, and her ability to sell goods was first-rate.

Any random live stream would achieve sales of 50 million yuan, so the platform sent her to do this live stream.

“Old Guo, how’s that masked man’s sales ability?” Li Weiqiang asked.

“I don’t know about that. It hasn’t even been a month since he started streaming, and he’s streamed almost everything. He’s doing everything well, so I’m more worried that he’ll do something new during this live stream.”

“Aren’t your worries a little uncalled for? I’ve prepared so many cheap goods. These are basically being sold at the lowest price on the Internet. When it comes to these live stream goods, no one can get a lower wholesales price than me.”

“I believe in your ability, but you can’t underestimate him.” Li Weiqiang said.

“You have to know that in the previous live stream, his popularity exceeded 10 million. This is a terrifying number. Although you’re very powerful, he’s not bad either. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have gathered here to discuss this matter.”

“President Li is right.” Guo Shibo agreed.

“Although he might not be your match, to be safe, we have to play the insurance card. If anything goes wrong, all of us will have to be responsible for this matter.”

Zhou Bingyang supported her head with one hand and didn’t care about what they said.

The other party was indeed a popular streamer, but Douyu and Kuaishou were two completely different platforms. There was a huge difference between their marketing techniques and profit models. When it came to selling goods, none of the streamers on other platforms could compete with her.

Therefore, she no longer wanted to participate in their conversation.

“Have you found out anything about his live stream?” Li Weiqiang asked.

“I just called my former colleague. The live broadcast is going to be held at the Peninsula Hotel, and Douyu is being very tolerant toward him. He found the source of the goods himself. I think he can make a lot of money through this live broadcast.”

Li Weiqiang crossed his legs and lit a cigarette. ” Douyu even agreed to such a condition. Looks like they really want to support him.”

“Indeed, the resources are heavily skewed toward him, but he has also been very popular recently. It’s a win-win situation,” Guo Shibo said reluctantly.

“From the looks of it, this person seems invulnerable. It seems like it’ll be very difficult to do anything to him.”

“You can’t say that. Having said that, he’s got a fatal flaw. If we make good use of that, we might be able to pull him down with us.”

Hearing this, Li Wei’s interest was piqued.

“What do you have in mind?”

“Aren’t you curious why he wears a mask during his live broadcast?” Guo Shibo asked.

“Moreover, it’s not only during the live stream. I’ve seen him in person before. He’s also wearing a mask that covers his face tightly, so I think there should be something to discuss about that.”

Li Weiqiang’s eyes lit up. “It was the same when we met on Yawan Island. It was as if he couldn’t face anyone.”

“That’s why I feel that this masked man must be extremely ugly. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be like this.” Guo Shibo said.

“That’s why we should make a big deal out of this. After all, there are more female viewers watching the live broadcast. What’s more, they all look at appearances. What do you think will happen if they find that the streamer selling the goods is extremely ugly?”
