825 Find Out the Truth

“The computer was hacked?”

Lin Yi was very surprised to hear this news.

The research institute was a professional organization. Any one of the staff there was a god-level figure.

Computer security was the most important thing to them.

!!
If they were ever hacked, the pain would be even more serious than being cuckolded.

“President Lin, don’t be anxious. I only detected signs of being hacked. They’ve not broken through yet, but I have to report this to you.”

“Alright, wait for me at the research institute. I’ll come over now.”

“Okay.”

After Lin Yi hung up, Qiao Xin subconsciously asked,

“Brother Lin, your computer was hacked?”

“It’s not my computer that was hacked. It’s our research institute’s…”

At this point, Lin Yi suddenly stopped talking and looked at Qiao Xin.

Both of them thought of the same question at the same time.

“Brother Lin, I’m sure now that the mysterious person might be targeting you. Director Li and I are just the ones who were implicated.”

Sun Fuyu’s call allowed Lin Yi to confirm this possibility.

Because now, he was indeed on a different level from Li Chuhan and Qiao Xin.

The people he interacted with were also different. They indeed had the ability to do such a thing.

“Alright, you can stay back for now, but during this period of time, the two of you shouldn’t stay at home. I’ll book two rooms for you at the Peninsula Hotel. You can stay there for the time being.”

“Got it, Brother Lin.”

After reminding her, Lin Yi drove to the research institute.

Seeing Lin Yi coming over, Sun Fuyu went up to him.

“President Lin.”

“Show me the security data.”

Sun Fuyu turned on the computer in the laboratory and pulled out the data from the firewall.

There were hundreds of messages inside.

However, in Lin Yi’s eyes, these were all very ordinary data. There was nothing unusual.

Sun Fuyu opened one of them. One of the codes was a little unusual, but it was quite limited in scale.

“This code is very unfamiliar. I tried to copy it. It looks like a trojan file that was scanned completely and eventually blocked by our firewall. Nothing happened after that.”

After a few seconds of silence, Lin Yi said,

“This period has been very special. You have to pay more attention to security.”

“Understood, President Lin.”

After giving instructions, Lin Yi drove to Shen Tianzhuo’s place.

Compared to Longxin, the photolithography machine project was the most important thing.

Seeing Lin Yi come over, Shen Tianzhuo smiled and said,

“There shouldn’t have been any problems last night.”

Lin Yi smiled bitterly. “Director Shen, now’s not the time to talk about this. Look at the security system of the research institute and see if it’s been hacked.”

When he mentioned this topic, Shen Tianzhuo’s expression became serious.

He knew very well how serious the consequences of this matter were.

If they were really hacked, all his efforts would have been in vain.

The internet world was never peaceful!

Shen Tianzhuo turned on the computer and checked it carefully. He checked every piece of information and did not find any problems.

“There’s nothing.”

Lin Yi heaved a sigh of relief. As long as there weren’t any problems here, the foundation of Lingyun Group wouldn’t be disturbed.

“What exactly happened? There shouldn’t be many people in the country who dare to do such a thing to you.”

“I don’t know what’s going on, but I’m being watched,” Lin Yi said.

“Director Shen, you’ll have to keep an eye on our safety for the time being. If anything goes wrong, all our efforts will be in vain.”

“I know that. Don’t worry. I don’t dare to say anything else, but this small matter is not a problem.”

Lin Yi nodded. With Director Shen guarding the research institute, there wouldn’t be any problems.

Whether it was in terms of skill or experience, he was one level higher than Sun Fuyu.

It should not be difficult for him to deal with.

“Director Shen, I’m leaving first. Let me know if you need money.”

“It’s enough. You don’t have to be so generous,” Shen Tianzhuo said.

“The main reason why I agreed to come back with you back then was because I still think that you’re a good person. I’ve been very happy working with you during this period of time, so whether you give me more or less money doesn’t matter much to me.”

“That won’t do. When you came back, I promised you that I’d give you enough funding. I can’t go back on my word on this.”

Shen Tianzhuo patted Lin Yi’s shoulder. “Your words are enough.”

“Then I’ll take my leave first.”

“Let’s go. I’ll see you off. We can go out for a smoke.”

“Yeah.”

For a long time, countless people had handed Lin Yi cigarettes, but the only one who had smoked with him was Shen Tianzhuo.

“Yes?”

Just as the two of them were walking out, Lin Yi stopped in his tracks.

This was because he spotted an unfamiliar face that he had never seen before.

However, at this moment, Shen Tianzhuo waved at the unfamiliar face.

“Little Qiu, come here for a while.”

“Teacher Shen.”

Among the people he was familiar with, only Liang Ruoxu would use the term Doctor Shen to address Shen Tianzhuo.

The rest of the people would politely call him Teacher Shen.

This was both respectful and amiable.

“Let me introduce you. This person in front of you is the director of our research institute, Lin Yi. He established this research institute.”

“Hello, Director Lin.”

Shen Tianzhuo turned sideways. “This is Qiu Xucheng, a senior engineer transferred from Longxin. Although he’s young, he’s quite skilled.”

“Qiu Xucheng?”

Lin Yi muttered in his heart. Wasn’t this He Yuanyuan’s ex-boyfriend?

‘What the f*ck, I can’t believe he looks like this. He’s not compatible with He Yuanyuan at all, okay?’

Lin Yi felt that even if He Yuanyuan’s neck was amputated, she would still be better than him.

Not to mention her financial resources, just her figure and appearance alone were ten streets ahead of him.

“Do your best.”

Lin Yi replied very formally, then walked out with Shen Tianzhuo. Out of habit, he took the cigarette from him.

“I remember this person. He should be part of Longxin. Why is he here?”

“Actually, in private, Director Sun, Little Lu, and I often eat together and talk about the progress of the two research institutes. When he learned that we didn’t have enough manpower, Director Sun recommended him to me. I checked and found that his ability was indeed not bad, so I let him stay here.”

Shen Tianzhuo flicked some ash from his cigarette. “Do you have any opinions about him? You can just say it.”

“I’m not related to him. What opinions could I have? I was just asking.” Lin Yi said.

“But the lithography machine is our secret project. We have to do a good job with the confidentiality agreement.”

“Don’t worry. These unprofessional matters are not an issue to me. I don’t dare say anything else, but I can at least help you safeguard the information on the lithography machine.”
