“If you think it’s that good, then my hard work didn’t go to waste.”

“Feel free to come to work anytime tomorrow. Just make sure you turn up,” Li Chuhan said.

“Thank you, Director Li.”

“Drink a glass of milk before you go to bed. It’ll help you sleep. Good night.”

“Good night.”

!!
The call was short, and Li Chuhan’s words were cold as usual.

Lin Yi didn’t do anything else. He went to the bathroom to wash up and fell asleep on the bed.

Maybe it was because he was overusing his brain, but he didn’t wake up until nine in the morning.

There was a WeChat message from Ji Qingyan on his phone, asking if he had breakfast or had already gone to work.

It was a simple conversation, but there was a hint of warmth to it.

After chatting with Ji Qingyan briefly, Lin Yi went to the bathroom to wash up, then prepared to go to the hospital.

He didn’t have to go today, but the system mission was triggered during work.

Therefore, it was better not to go out if he could help it.

Ring, ring, ring..

Just as Lin Yi was washing up, his phone on the washing machine rang.

The person on the phone made Lin Yi’s expression freeze. It was Cao Jingqiu.

Lin Yi stopped what he was doing and started thinking.

If it was about work, she probably wouldn’t have contacted him.

It was probably a private matter this time.

Wiping the foam off his mouth, Lin Yi picked up the phone.

“What is it?”

“Mr. Lin, should I call you Director Lin or President Lin?”

“Huh?”

Lin Yi’s heart skipped a beat. Did she know about his identity as the founding director?

Who leaked this news?

“What do you mean by director?”

“President Lin, it’s too late now. There’s no point in hiding this anymore,” Cao Jingqiu said.

“I’d like to know, why did you form a relationship with my brother?”

“We’re all businessmen. Businessmen chase after fame and fortune. Don’t tell me I’m not allowed to earn my keep?”

With Cao Jingqiu’s intelligence, it was useless to deny anything.

It would be better to say it out loud.

“With your talent and strategic mind, I don’t believe that you and my brother would have a common topic to discuss,” Cao Jingqiu said coldly.

“I also don’t believe that you would take the initiative to hand over the production line and warehouse to someone else.”

“Look at what you’re saying. It’s only for your brother to keep temporarily. I’m not giving it to him. As long as I get my money, I don’t care about the process.”

There was half a minute of silence on the other end of the line. “President Lin, I hope that we can continue doing business on the foundation of peaceful coexistence. Such shady methods won’t last long.”

“President Cao, look at what you’re saying. I just want to earn contract fees. Why are you talking about me like I’m a fraud?”

“You’re not such an unambitious person,” Cao Jingqiu said. “Sci-Tech might be dead, but in your hands, it might be revived.”

“I’m embarrassed to hear you say that,” Lin Yi said with a smile. “I’m being hands off mainly because I have other work and don’t have time to deal with Sci-Tech.”

“Busy?” Cao Jingqiu said. “You’re a hands-off boss to Lingyun Group.”

“I don’t deny that, but I’m busy saving lives every day. Though I admit, it’s not any better than being a CEO.”

“Busy saving lives?”

“Let me reintroduce myself. I’m currently a doctor in Huashan Hospital’s Department of Cardiology. If President Cao has any gynecological problems in the future, you’re welcome to call me. Don’t bother waiting in line.”

“A… a doctor of cardiology?”

“I’ll send you my business card later.”

Lin Yi hung up as he spoke, his expression darkening.

From what he’d heard from Cao Jingqiu, she seemed to only know that he was the president.

She didn’t know anything else.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been so passive during the conversation.

There wasn’t much to worry about Cao Xiangyu, but he was more guarded against Cao Jingqiu.

However, where did this woman find out that he was the head of Sci-Tech?

Lin Yi felt relieved after thinking about it for a few minutes.

The truth couldn’t be kept a secret. Anyone motivated enough would have found out the truth once they dug deep enough.

What more a woman like Cao Jingqiu.

Even so, the current situation didn’t seem to affect him much.

Longxin Research Institute, Qi Xianzhao, and He Yuanyuan’s identity were the most important things.

As long as this information wasn’t exposed, it wouldn’t affect his plans.

Cao Jingqiu would never have dreamed that the Longxin Research Institute was related to him.

Thinking of this, Lin Yi called Qi Xianzhao.

He told the two of them not to expose their identities in front of Cao Jingqiu, or the whole plan might collapse.

After thinking for a few seconds, Lin Yi called Shen Tianzhuo as a precaution as well.

“Boss Shen, I need your help with something.”

“Why are you being so polite?” Shen Tianzhuo said with a smile. “Tell me what you need.”

“Do you have any hackers under you?”

“Hackers? There are a few guys in the team who like to study these things, but their skills are limited. They can’t meet your requirements.”

Shen Tianzhuo understood Lin Yi’s intention. Normal situations weren’t worth his attention.

“But many of my former colleagues are experts in this field. Just tell me what you want to do.”

“There’s a website called ‘Heavenly Eye’. It’s a place where you can look up information about companies. You should know about it, right? Can you get someone to hack into this website and temporarily change the name of the legal owner of Lingyun Group in Zhonghai to Qin Han?”

Poor Qin Han would take the fall for Lin Yi without even realizing.

“Heavenly Eye?” Shen Tianzhuo muttered. “It’s a company in Yanjing, right? Isn’t the owner Li Zeming?”

“You know him?”

“He’s a former colleague of mine. He used to work at Microsoft. He’s a pretty good guy.”

“F*ck!”Lin Yi exclaimed. “Boss Shen is awesome. This makes it easier to handle.”

“Okay, I’ll give him a call now. Oh right, I just thought of something.”

“What is it?”

“In the past few days, we’ve had a small breakthrough in our research and development. The report has been sorted out, and I’ll send it to you later. Take a look at it when you’re free and come over to sign it when you have time.”

“I don’t think I should. I didn’t do anything. I wouldn’t dare to take Director Shen’s credit.”

“How can that be? Without your support, we wouldn’t have been able to develop these things,” Shen Tianzhuo said with a smile.

“Got it. I’ll take a look at then soon.”

“Okay.”

…

Fenglan Culture, General Manager’s office.

Cao Jingqiu had been sitting in place for more than ten minutes after Lin Yi hung up the phone.

She kept thinking about what Lin Yi had said and felt that it was very suspicious, but she couldn’t find any clues.

As for his identity as a doctor, he was definitely making it up. There wasn’t any credibility to his claim at all.

After thinking for a long time, Cao Jingqiu could not help but call Cao Xiangyu.

“Brother, where are you?”

“I’m at the factory. What’s wrong?”

“I have something to tell you. Wait for me at the factory. I’ll go over now.”

“Aiya, Jingqiu, don’t come over yet. I have something to do later. I have to go out. Come over some other time,” Cao Xiangyu said.

“Brother has other things to do, so I won’t talk to you. That’s all.”

This was the most critical moment in this sibling power struggle. Hence, the person Cao Xiangyu disliked most at this time was Cao Jingqiu.

He even wished that he could silently arrange for her to get into a car accident.

“No!”

Cao Jingqiu ordered, “No matter what you have on your plate, you have to wait for me at the factory. I have something important to tell you!”

Cao Xiangyu didn’t say anything when he saw Cao Jingqiu’s unyielding attitude. “Then come quickly. I have something to do later.”

After hanging up the phone, Cao Jingqiu took her handbag and car keys then drove to Xiangyang Industrial Area.

However, before starting her car, Cao Jingqiu checked Heavenly Eye and verified that the legal owner of Lingyun Group was indeed Lin Yi. Only then did she feel relieved.

Cao Xiangyu was sitting in his office with his legs crossed, enjoying the service of his female secretary.

Ever since that day, he had stopped smoking after chatting with Lin Yi.

The office door was pushed open and Cao Jingqiu walked in from outside.

“Jingqiu is here. I’ll get you a glass of water.”

“No need.” Cao Jingqiu said.

“I’m here to tell you one thing. End the collaboration with Sci-Tech now! Now! Now!”

Cao Xiangyu was a little stunned.

‘What kind of nonsense is she spouting?’

Was he still dreaming, or had she knocked her head and was now having a concussion?

‘Does she know that she can’t compete with me, so now she’s starting to fool around?’

You’re a little girl who hasn’t even grown her teeth yet, and you want to tell me what to do?

“Jingqiu, do you know how much effort I’ve put in to take down Sci-Tech?” Cao Xiangyu questioned.

“Do you know how much profit we can make from Sci-Tech’s contract manufacturing line? You want me to stop now? Do you know how much the company will end up losing? Where is your head at?!”

“I know this is difficult to accept, but to avoid unnecessary losses, we have to stop!”

Cao Xiangyu’s expression was unfriendly, but the person sitting in front of him was his own sister.

Even though he had a lot of resentment in his heart, he hid it well.

“Jingqiu, you’re my sister. Even if you make such an unreasonable request, I can still talk to you calmly as long as you give me a proper explanation.”

Cao Jingqiu frowned slightly. If she was asked to give a specific reason, she really couldn’t answer him.

She had too little information in her hands, and everything was based on her intuition.

However, this wouldn’t convince her big brother.

“I’ve already found out that the person you’re working with is called Lin Yi, but he’s definitely not a simple character.”

There were some things that Cao Jingqiu didn’t say directly, for fear of hurting Cao Xiangyu.

From her point of view, her big brother’s IQ wasn’t on the same level as Lin Yi’s.

Lin Yi’s abnormal behavior didn’t fit his style at all.

There must be some other scheme behind his actions.

“You’re right, Lin Yi is indeed not an ordinary person. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have spent so much effort to deal with him,” Cao Xiangyu said.

“But do you know his real identity?”

“What real identity could he have? He’s just Wang Tianlong’s brother-in-law,” Cao Xiangyu said disdainfully.

“It’s not as simple as you think. He’s the boss behind Lingyun Group and he controls a huge financial company. He’s definitely not an ordinary person.”

Cao Xiangyu and his secretary were stunned when they heard that.

They didn’t expect Lin Yi to have such an identity.

After these few encounters, Cao Xiangyu thought that he knew him like the back of his hand.

He was a greedy and lecherous playboy.

It would be too strange if he had a company behind him.

“Are you sure?”

“Of course I’m sure. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have come all the way here to tell you this.”

Seeing that Cao Xiangyu had listened to her words, Cao Jingqiu secretly heaved a sigh of relief.

“If you don’t believe me, go and check on Heavenly Eye. The company’s public information is listed there.”

Cao Xiangyu nodded and gave his secretary a look.

“Jiameng, go and look up this Lingyun Group.”

“Okay.”

Cao Xiangyu’s secretary took the computer and searched for information about Lingyun Group on Heavenly Eye. Very quickly, she got the results.

Sitting on the sofa, Cao Jingqiu felt much more relaxed and gratified.

After so many years, he was finally willing to listen to her.

Before she came, she had already confirmed the information on Heavenly Eye. Therefore, there would definitely be no problems.

Once her big brother checked it, he would be able to see what was going on.

Just as Cao Jingqiu thought that she had finally convinced Cao Xiangyu, she saw him sneer.

“Jingqiu, I am really disappointed in you.”
