“What’s so strange about that? It all worked out, right?”

Cao Xiangyu said with a cold face.

“Do you know how much effort I put into this matter? Look at my white hair. I really wrecked myself in order to take down Sci-Tech.”

Originally, Cao Xiangyu was already filled with hostility toward Cao Jingqiu.

Now, he had just gained the upper hand, and she had already stepped out to criticize him.

!!
How detestable!

Cao Jingqiu’s expression was unmoved. “Who is the person who signed the contract with you? How could he do such a stupid thing?”

At this point, Cao Jingqiu did fuss about her reputation anymore.

If there was no problem, then everyone would be happy. However, if there was really a problem, it was very likely that Cisco would not be able to bear the consequences.

“Jingqiu, you just graduated from college and don’t know anything about this. Don’t get involved,” Cao Xiangyu said.

“This is the result of my hard work. It has nothing to do with whether the other party is stupid or not.”

Cao Xiangyu didn’t reveal Lin Yi’s name, and he didn’t intend to.

He knew Lin Yi’s character. Calling him an idiot would be a compliment.

If the information surrounding Lin Yi was leaked to her, she would definitely contact Lin Yi in secret and sabotage the project, ruining his plans and hindering his advancement.

Therefore, he couldn’t let her know everything about Sci-Tech.

Perhaps this was fate. If Cao Xiangyu had revealed Lin Yi’s name at this time, Lin Yi’s plan might have completely collapsed.

However because of Cao Xiangyu’s greed, the crisis was averted.

They were solid allies.

“Jingqiu, are you worrying too much about this?” Cao Jiadong said.

“We have Sci-Tech’s assembly line and warehouse in the palm of our hand. In other words, it’s become a second Cisco. How could there be a problem?”

Cao Jingqiu did not say anything. If she was asked to point out what was wrong, she would not be able to do so. She just felt that this matter was too strange.

It was just an OEM contract, and the other party had actually handed over the entire factory.

Even the dumbest person in the world would not do such a thing.

Cao Xiangyu saying that this was the result of his hard work made Cao Jingqiu even more suspicious.

He had always been a person with great ambition but little talent. There were probably not many people in this world who he could fool.

On the surface, there didn’t seem like there were many issues, but if she really pursued this matter, she would soon spot a lot of flaws.

“Alright, just pretend that I didn’t say anything. I’m not on the same side as you guys. You guys can handle it yourselves.”

Cao Jingqiu picked up her handbag and stood up. “I’ll be leaving first. You guys can chat slowly.”

“You girl, why are you still leaving? I still have things to say,” Cao Jiadong said.

“Wait until I’m in a good mood. I’ll come back and chat with you then.”

Opening the office door, Cao Jingqiu left cheerfully and pridefully, leaving the father and son in the office.

However, at this moment, Cao Jingqiu’s mind was filled with thoughts of Cisco and Sci-Tech. After all, this was her family’s business. Even if she wanted to establish her own business, she could not completely ignore this.

Cao Jingqiu took a deep breath as she got back to her car. She rubbed her temples and muttered to herself,

“Why do I have a family like this?”

…

After a whole afternoon of driving, Lin Yi drove to Chaoyang Group at about 4:30 pm to pick up Qingyan from work.

“You’re not coming back?”

“Sure, wait for me there. I’ll come over now.”

It was almost time to get off work, but Lin Yi didn’t wait for Ji Qingyan. Instead, he saw Wang Ying rushing out of the elevator.

She looked like she had something urgent to say on the phone.

“Why are you in such a hurry? Are you going on a date?”

Wang Ying raised her head when she heard someone talking. She realized that it was Lin Yi, and she knew that he was here to pick up Ji Qingyan.

“You’re even making fun of me.” Wang Ying said with a smile:

“I have something to do, so I won’t talk to you anymore. Call me if you need anything.”

“What are you in such a hurry for? Why didn’t you see me even after I parkedmy car here?”

“I’m just in a hurry. I didn’t even look around. Why are you picking on me?”

“What’s making you so anxious?”

“It’s not a big deal. I can handle it myself. You don’t have to worry about it. Wait here for President Ji. I won’t talk to you anymore.”

“Tell me what’s going on first. If it’s not a big deal, I won’t bother about it.”

“It’s all because of Lulu. Didn’t she say that she wanted to enroll in a training class? Previously, she paid a deposit of 2,000 yuan, and teacher said that when she signed up, she could pay for the remaining 5,000 yuan. After she signed up, she didn’t expect that the 7,000 yuan tuition fee would only be for the beginner class. There were only two classes in total, and each class only lasted for one hour. If she wants access to the rest of the classes, she has to sign up for the advanced class.”

“And the price of the advanced class is 87,000. Families like ours can’t afford such a fee. Lulu doesn’t want to go anymore and wants them to return the deposit. However, the other party said that they wouldn’t return it. Lulu and the others negotiated with the other party for an entire afternoon, but there were no results, so I have to go over and take a look.”

“What kind of teacher is this? How dare she ask for such a price?”

“I heard that she’s a teacher from the Zhonghai Drama Academy.”

“A university teacher is capable of such a thing? Isn’t this obvious fraud? Lulu and the others should call the police.”

“They have already called the police, but they said that this is a civil dispute and that they are only responsible for enforcing the law. They said that they should deal with it on their own.”

“This is obviously a case of the teacher taking advantage of them.” Lin Yi said with a smile.

“I know, right? 7,000 yuan for two hours of classes, and you didn’t even say anything beforehand. This teacher was obviously lying.”

Lin Yi looked up at Wang Ying. “Then what are you going to do once you get there?”

“I’ll keep talking to them. I can’t let them take the money without putting up a fight.” Wang Ying said

“Do you think reasoning with them will work?”

Wang Ying was at a loss for words. She didn’t know what to say.

She knew that she might not be able to do much, but she didn’t want to trouble Lin Yi.

“I don’t mind going with you, but you’re here to pick up President Ji. I can’t delay your business.”

“What business is that supposed to be?” Lin Yi said.

“You lead the way. Let’s go and check this teacher out together.”

“Are you sure? Won’t President Ji be angry?”

“Why would she be angry?”

“I’m relieved to hear that.”

Wang Ying got into her BMW, and Lin Yi followed behind. He called Ji Qingyan.

“I have something to do tonight, so I won’t pick you up. You can drive yourself home.”

“Are you going to be busy later?”

“Not really, I’ll be done in a while.”

“Then I’ll work overtime at the company. Come and pick me up when you’re done,” Ji Qingyan said.

“That busy? Do you really need to work overtime?”

“Didn’t I tell you before that there’s a land tender pending? I’m constantly busy with this matter,” Ji Qingyan said. “The tender is happening in less than a month. I have to hurry.”

“Just do it slowly. There are so many people in the company. You don’t have to do it yourself, right?”

“This project is very important. I don’t trust others to do it, so I have to do it myself,” Ji Qingyan said with a smile.

“If President Lin stops giving me projects one day, won’t I starve to death?”

“I think you’re being naughty again.”

“Hehe…”

Ji Qingyan laughed. “I want to eat the egg fried rice from the nearby alley. When you come to pick me up, buy me a serving. Oh, and add an omelet.”

“One omelet is two yuan. It’s such a waste to add it.”
