“You’re simulating a real surgical environment!”

Li Chuhan didn’t know how to describe her feelings. It was simply too unbelievable.

At first, she thought that it was Lin Yi’s special habit to self-regulate his actions, but she didn’t expect him to be doing it on purpose.

If she offered him a normal suturing environment and gave him a precise electron microscope…

The effect would probably be better.

!!
“From today onwards, you’ll be my assistant. I’ll take you with me when there’s a surgery,” Li Chuhan said.

“Does that count as a promotion?”

“You silly boy,” Sun Lizhu laughed.

“Director Li is a famous pretty doctor in Huashan Hospital. It’s not just a promotion, you’re getting a chance to work directly with Director Li.”

“That’s really good.”

Li Chuhan’s expression didn’t change much after being teased like that by Li Zhu.

It was hard to tell if she really cared or not.

Sometimes, Lin Yi felt that Li Chuhan was as calm as a machine, and he couldn’t even tell if she had any emotion.

Perhaps this kind of personality was more suitable for a place like the hospital.

“Did you have lunch? I’m going to order something, and I have something I want to talk to you about.” Li Chuhan said with a smile.

If it was someone else who said that, Lin Yi would have thought that they were trying to flirt with him.

However, the words coming out of Li Chuhan’s mouth appeared very innocent.

She really just wanted to have lunch together.

“Silly boy, what are you waiting for?” Sun Lizhu nudged Lin Yi from behind.

“I’m telling you, Director Li has been in here for over two years, and this is the first time she’s taken the initiative to invite a member of the opposite sex out for a meal. Even though it’s takeout, you should cherish it.”

“I’d be honored, then.” Lin Yi said with a smile. “Why don’t I treat you to this meal? You’re my boss, after all. Give me a chance to show off.”

Sun Lizhu gave him a thumbs up. “You know how to handle things, young man.”

“Sure, I’ll treat you next time.”

Li Chuhan didn’t waste too much time on the matter, and took out her phone to show her WeChat QR code.

“This is my wechat. Add it and it’ll be easier to communicate whenever I have something for you to do.”

“Okay.”

After adding Li Chuhan’s WeChat, Lin Yi sent a message to Wang Tianlong, asking him to send some lunch over.

Takeaways on group purchases were too casual, so he had to make it classier.

“You go to 809 first and wait for me. I’ll go prepare something and I’ll come find you later.”

“Okay.”

Lin Yi went to 809 according to Li Chuhan’s instructions.

The office wasn’t big. There was a computer and a printer, and there were a lot of Li Chuhan’s personal belongings as well.

Rather than calling it an office, it looked more like a temporary resting place.

From this, one could see that Huashan Hospital was different from the rest.

Other hospitals only had comprehensive offices, and the department directors all worked together, just like the places he’d been to before.

However, Li Chuhan had her own lounge, which was very impressive.

About half an hour later, Li Chuhan walked in from outside with a large stack of documents in her arms.

She conveniently placed the documents on the table and casually took off her white coat. Inside was a simple white Nike t-shirt. His figure was not bad. It was neither too big nor too small, and he would be able to hold everything with one hand.

At this moment, the door to the lounge was pushed open. Three young nurses pushed the door open and walked in while laughing.

“Director Li, we don’t have a place to eat. Can we borrow your…”

The nurses stopped talking halfway when they saw Lin Yi.

“Oh, so Dr. Lin is here. We’ll be going then.”

“It’s fine. Let’s eat here. There’s no issue,” Li Chuhan said politely.

“Really?” The long-haired nurse said. The name written on her badge read Yuan Siqi.

Li Chuhan nodded. “Pack up the documents on the table at the back and place them on the windowsill.”

“Director Li, have you eaten with Dr. Lin yet? The cafeteria prepared meat loaf today. It’s very delicious. I’ll go buy it for you,” Yuan Siqi said.

“Dr. Lin ordered takeout. You don’t have to worry about me.”

“Oh, then will you be eating here?”

“Yeah.”

It was obvious that although Li Chuhan was a little cold, she had a good relationship with her colleagues.

In a normal hospital, nurses wouldn’t have the guts to break into the director’s lounge.

The three nurses were eating quietly, glancing at Lin Yi from time to time.

“Dr. Lin is so handsome, I can smell his testosterone even from a meter away.”

“I think you’re in heat. You can even describe the scent of sweat as hormonal. Still, Doctor Lin really is handsome.”

“It’s useless even if he’s handsome. He’s going to be taken down by Director Li.”

“Director Li is the belle of our hospital. He seems to be a good match,” Yuan Siqi said with a smile.

“But I don’t think this is good. Director Duan from the logistics department has been pursuing Director Li. If he finds out about this, it will be difficult to handle.”

“You’re right. Director Duan is rich and overbearing. In this aspect, Dr. Lin might be a little lacking.”

“Alright, let’s eat first. This isn’t something that we should worry about.”

“Right, right, right. Let’s eat first. Director Li is discussing something with Dr. Lin. Let’s not disturb them.”

The three of them ate silently. Li Chuhan took the file and said,

“I need to discuss something with you. It might take you a long time. It’s almost noon, so will it disturb your rest?” Li Chuhan said. “I can talk to you in the afternoon.”

“It’s fine. I’m full of energy and I don’t have a habit of napping. You can just brief me now.”

Li Chuhan nodded. “I have an important surgery tomorrow. I’ve simulated the procedure many times, but I still feel that the suturing after the surgery isn’t good enough. I feel that the risk is too high and I’d like to hear your opinion.”

“With Director Li’s ability, can’t you handle it?”

Lin Yi had a comprehensive understanding of Li Chuhan’s abilities from the introduction.

If even she felt that the surgery was a high risk, then an ordinary person wouldn’t be able to handle it.

“The risk comes from two aspects. One is the patient’s condition, and the other is the person’s identity.” Li Chuhan smoothed her long hair that fell on her forehead, “If something goes wrong, Huashan Hospital won’t be able to shoulder the responsibility.”

“Huh?”

Li Chuhan’s words piqued Lin Yi’s curiosity.

Huashan Hospital was a behemoth in Zhonghai.

Even the city gave them special treatment. As long as the number of medical incidents was limited, no one would hold them responsible.

However, Li Chuhan said that even Huashan Hospital couldn’t afford to offend this patient.

That was special.

“Are you curious about the patient’s identity?”

Lin Yi nodded, not hiding anything.

“The patient is…”

Dang dang dang..

Just as Li Chuhan was about to speak, there was a knock on the door of the lounge.

“Come in,” Li Chuhan replied.

The door was pushed open and a man in casual clothes came in. He was over 1.8 meters tall and had a buzz cut. He had a burly figure.

In the man’s hands were several bags that looked like takeout items.

The man’s name was Duan Peng. He was the deputy director of the logistics department of Huashan Hospital.

The logistics department sounded very unremarkable, but it held a significant position in the entire Huashan Hospital.

The logistics department was a very big department in Huashan Hospital.

They were responsible for all the medical equipment purchases, and one could imagine how much profit they were making.

Duan Peng’s appearance made the previously relaxed atmosphere tense.

The three nurses looked at Duan Peng and Lin Yi with their chopsticks in their mouths.

This was too much of a coincidence. Things weren’t looking good!

Duan Peng’s expression turned ugly when he saw Lin Yi.

“Director Duan, what’s the matter?” Li Chuhan asked.

“It’s not a big deal. It’s not even noon yet. I was afraid that you wouldn’t have time to eat, so I brought you something to eat.”

“No need,” Li Chuhan said. “Dr. Lin ordered takeout. We’ll be eating together today. Thank you.”

Duan Peng’s expression changed to show hints of anger.

Where did this guy come from?

“How can his order be as good as mine?” Duan Peng said.

“I ordered this from my mom’s restaurant next door. It’s all good stuff. You’ve been too tired recently. There’s a herbal soup here to help you.”

“I won’t trouble you anymore, Director Duan. Dr. Lin has already ordered takeout. We’ll just be having a simple bite.”

“Takeout isn’t as nutritious as what I bought.” Duan Peng took out the things from his pocket and said.

“I bought roast duck, pork trotters, beef bone soup, and…”

The three nurses drooled when they heard the name of the dishes. It was all good stuff.

Knock, knock, knock..

Someone knocked on the door midway through the conversation.

Tianlong Wang walked in from outside.

Tianlong Wang was stunned when he saw Lin Yi sitting two meters away from him.

Why was President Lin wearing a white coat?

He was going all out to get a female doctor!

President Lin was awesome! He was a role model for his generation!

“Mr. Lin, your takeout is here,” Tianlong Wang said seriously.

“This is our best single-headed abalone, Australian lobster, bluefin tuna sashimi, Russian sturgeon caviar, Australian M3 steak, steamed wild Chinese sturgeon, and a bottle of Moscato Asti. It’s very suitable for ladies to drink.”
