Chapter 17 Deciphering the Relic

Chapter 17 Deciphering the Relic
According to the comparison of the records on the first carving, the stone gate should have been open.

Then it shows that the way of thinking from here is correct.

Due to the long wear and tear of the carvings and paintings, many places are very blurred, and many details cannot be seen clearly.

It seems that it is still necessary to observe the layout of the entire building from a bird’s-eye view.

Lin Feng planned to go to the place where the carvings were drawn and look down at the ruins to see if he could gain anything.

Comparing the angle of depiction and the location of the ruins, look to the east.

What he could see at this time was an empty ruins, which was completely inconsistent with the environment recorded in the description.

According to the recorded records, this place should have been a higher hill.

But now I don’t know why there are only weeds and ruins left.

This is very embarrassing. Isn’t there a way to open up this portrayal?

Or was he thinking in the wrong direction?

Frowning tightly, Lin Feng tried hard to think about all the possibilities, to see if he had missed any clues.

According to the current clues, there must be some kind of mechanism that can be opened.

But where will this agency be located?

As a solemn and sacred place like the temple, I want to integrate the trigger mechanism into it.

The best way is to set it up very secretly, or very conspicuously.

As for the surrounding environment, even if there is a very secret starting point, it should have been damaged or triggered early on.

In this way, there is only the second possibility, the trigger mechanism is very conspicuous.

People will subconsciously ignore its existence, or think that this item cannot be used to trigger.

According to this idea, Lin Feng started wandering around the stone gate, trying to find such eligible buildings or objects.

At this time, a circular base beside the stone gate caught his attention.

Looking up at the carvings, Lin Feng didn’t see anything similar.

Put your eyes on the second picture. At this time, there are two humanoid statues in armor at the door of the painting.

At first, Lin Feng thought it was a soldier, but after checking the vague depiction, he realized it was a statue.

And looking back at the base of the statue, the statue on it has long since disappeared.

There are only a few broken footprints to prove that a statue once stood here.

Could this be an agency?
With speculation, Lin Feng kicked the base twice, but there was no reaction at all.

It would be okay if the stone base reacted, but the lack of response made Lin Feng more interested.

With his two feet kicking up, not to mention whether the base can move, at least there must be a little shaking reaction, right?

After all, under the erosion of wind and rain for so long, there must be some changes.

However, the base did not move at all, as if it had been welded on.

After confirming that there were no stone statues and bases in the early stages of construction, Lin Feng was able to determine that this might be the mechanism to open the stone door.

Immediately get to work removing gravel and weeds from the sides of the stone base.

Soon Lin Feng discovered the clues. There must be something hidden under the base.

But he couldn’t push the stone seat away with all his strength, so it seems that it should be a rotating mechanism.

Going clockwise, Lin Feng tried it and it didn’t work, so it’s the other way around.

”Crack...”

”Moved!”

Lin Feng was overjoyed. Since he was able to turn the base, it meant that there was no problem with his triggering.

So I even used my breastfeeding strength to rotate the base.

”Crack - click - click -”

After turning almost ninety degrees, it could no longer rotate.

But at this moment, Shimen was still motionless.

”Shouldn’t it? The base of the stone statue can turn...”

Lin Feng was a little confused at the moment, what went wrong?

”Wait... It seems that there is still one that hasn’t turned...”

At this moment, Lin Feng suddenly remembered that there were two statues at the door.

Is it necessary to turn the two organs together to trigger it?
Looking in the opposite direction, there is indeed a base that is pressed by stones.

Lin Feng cleaned it out and turned it counterclockwise vigorously.

”Crack-knock-”

Sure enough, both bases can rotate.

After turning the second base to [-] degrees, various friction sounds came out of the stone gate.

Then the stone door slowly opened from left to right.

opened!
Lin Feng looked happy and stepped forward to check.

Looking at the opened stone door, Lin Feng estimated that its thickness should be at least [-] centimeters.

Judging from the height of more than three meters, this thing looks like one or two tons at least.

When the stone door was opened enough for one person to enter, Lin Feng carefully sneaked into the room without waiting for the whole door to be opened.

The stone chamber, which had been closed for a long time, was now covered with dust. After the stone door was opened, the internal air flow caused a lot of dust to fly up.

The interior of the stone chamber is not completely dark, but very bright.

Looking along the light source, there is an unknown piece of equipment above the head emitting light.

Lin Feng guessed that there should be a lighting opening outside to gather sunlight into the interior.

The stone room is not big, with a total size of more than 30 square meters.

Just a stone table and a sarcophagus inside?
The treasure chest that Lin Feng needed was only placed on the stone table in the middle.

However, there are only two iron chests on the top, and the rarer silver treasure chest is behind the wall of the stone chamber.

It seems that these ’people’ who set up the treasure chest are very wicked.

Always hide the best treasure chests in unexpected places.

The same is true of the iron treasure chest from last time, hidden under the dark boar cave.

Who would dig a wild boar’s cave without any trouble?

Shaking his head, he put the iron treasure box into his backpack first, and then walked to the stone wall to check the situation.

There are also various depictions on the walls inside the stone house. The interior is not like the outside environment, and the depictions are fairly well preserved.

The painting in front of Lin Feng recorded a record of a ’person’ putting the treasure box inside the house.

According to the information displayed by the perspective, the silver treasure chest is behind this wall.

What’s even more coincidental is that the silver treasure chest is located exactly on the treasure chest carved on the stone wall.

If a normal person looked at this picture, he would probably think that the treasure chests placed were the two iron treasure chests on the table.

No one would have guessed that there would be one hidden behind this painting.

He took out the iron manuscript and smashed it against the wall.

The collision of iron and stone soon created a groove in the wall.

As the pothole continued to expand, a silvery white reflection soon appeared in Lin Feng’s field of vision.

Seeing the treasure chest, Lin Feng swung his pick even more vigorously to smash it.

Soon a hole the size of a basketball was smashed out.

At this time, the wild man who had not paid attention to the movement suddenly appeared at the door of the stone house.

Seeing the opened stone chamber, a crowd of savages roared.

Hearing the strange noise, Lin Feng looked back and found that a group of savages had arrived here at some time.

Lin Feng quickly reached out and put the silver treasure box into his backpack, then took out his iron crossbow and shot at the savages without saying a word.

But because he didn’t aim carefully, the arrow stuck straight into the stone wall.

The savages who were about to rush in were startled by this arrow.

What kind of thing is so powerful that it can be shot directly into the stone wall?
