Chapter 16 The Ruins

Chapter 16 The Ruins
[Remnants: 192 meters away]

[Explanation: The remnants of a glorious era, under the passage of time, can only survive like the savages. 】

Remnant?Savage?
Such an introduction made Lin Feng instantly alert.

Through perspective, Lin Feng counted the number of survivors on the island.

There are fourteen people in total.

These savages walk around the island, and they are all in groups of two or three.

And these remnant savages will move around, which greatly increases the difficulty for him to search on the island.

Although I haven’t met a savage yet, I don’t know the other party’s attitude towards foreigners.

But Lin Feng felt that it was better to avoid it as much as possible and avoid conflicts.

However, Lin Feng looked back at his own deserted island, 200 meters away, such an obvious wooden house.

As long as these remnant savages see it, there will definitely be some changes, and they will definitely encounter an inevitable encounter.

Now we can only pray that these savages don’t discover the desert island prematurely.

Putting away the wooden boat, Lin Feng will take out an iron crossbow worth five liters of fresh water and start to go deep into the island.

Due to the presence of savages on the island this time, Lin Feng planned to collect high-value items first, and then collect materials such as wood when there is a chance.

And these high-value items are all kinds of treasure chests scattered on the island.

Following the perspective, Lin Feng walked around the savages and various animals to the location of the treasure chest.

Unlike the last time when the treasure chests were concentrated in the wild boar cave, many of them on this island are scattered in the woods, and some are directly buried in the ground or under rocks.

Lin Feng collected treasure chests while covering his tracks, and spent more than two hours busy collecting all those scattered outside.

The remaining three treasure chests are guarded by savages, and it is not easy to obtain them for the time being.

While searching for the treasure chest, Lin Feng was also exploring the area and environment of the island.

The island is in the form of a high south and a north, and the location of his deserted island is just in the southwest of Kao, so there is a certain dead angle.

These savages should not be able to find the abnormality for a while, but it will be a matter of time before they are discovered as the island moves.

Lin Feng estimated the area of the entire island according to the formula used by the second graders in elementary school, at least one hundred thousand square meters.

This is not counting the complex terrain like hills, even if he is found in such a large place, he will have a place to hide.

Watching the savages coming and going, Lin Feng hid in a secluded place for a brief rest.

The training for the past few days has kept him in a state of muscle soreness, although this soreness has no effect on his actions.

But in order to better cope with the next situation, Lin Feng decided to take a rest first.

At the same time, think about how to lure away the wildlings guarding the last three treasure chests.

He had seen iron treasure chests before, and among these three treasure chests was a new silver treasure chest.

According to the situation of the rest of the treasure chests, they have only seen bronze and stone treasure chests at most, but no one has ever heard of iron treasure chests.

And in this guarded place there is actually a silver treasure chest and two iron objects, he can’t let this go.

While thinking about countermeasures, a sharp whistling sound spread across the island.

Hearing the sharp whistling sound, Lin Feng quickly raised his hand and raised his iron crossbow to be on guard.

Through perspective observation, all the savages who heard the whistling began to run towards the source of the sound.

The savages who were guarding near the treasure chest also left directly after hearing the roar.

Zheng was worried about how to lure the savage away, seeing the other party leave, Lin Feng didn’t care what happened to the other party, he got up decisively and approached.

The location of the treasure chest was on the southern mountain. Before that, Lin Feng could only look at it from a long distance, and had no chance to get close.

And now that the guards have left, they can finally get closer to check.

Near the foot of the mountain, an ancient road full of weeds and moss appeared in front of us.

The guards above had already left, and Lin Feng no longer went into the grove, and went straight up the ancient road quickly.

Along the ancient road, you will soon reach the halfway up the hillside.

Here are all the wreckage of broken walls, huge stone walls collapsed randomly in the surrounding open space.

This should be the product left over from the glorious era mentioned in the introduction, but it has now been reduced to ruins.

Lin Feng was not interested in these ruins, he only had treasure chests in his eyes.

According to the perspective marks, the remaining treasure chests are not far ahead.

Stepping over the gravel, Lin Feng followed the prompts and came to a circular arch.

This arch is covered with vines and weeds. Through the gaps between the trees, there is a stone door inside the arch, and the treasure chest is behind the door.

Looking at this stone door, Lin Feng was a little worried, how to open this thing?

Let alone whether there is such a thing as a door handle, as far as the current situation is concerned, this stone door does not even have a crack.

It seems that entering from the main entrance should not work well, so I have to go around and see the situation.

When checking the surrounding environment, Lin Feng was also paying attention to the movements of the savages, just in case they were blocked.

But after turning three or four times in a row, there was no place to enter around the ruins.

Could it be that this place is a mausoleum?Only allowed in and not out?

Hiding aside, Lin Feng frowned and thought about the problem.

How the hell is this place going to get in?

Break open?He also tried knocking on the stone wall just now, but what he got in return was a dull echo.

This also means that the stone wall must be at least a dozen centimeters thick. According to the tools he currently has, it will take at least a week or two to dig it open.

But if there is this time, Lin Feng is also willing to dig, but the problem is that the island will only be left for a day, it seems that we still need to find some reliable methods.

After calming down, Lin Feng carefully observed the surrounding environment again.

Judging from the environment, this place is similar to an altar or some kind of temple.

A stone door like this that cannot be opened should require some special mechanism to trigger it to open.

As for a stone door, if you want to rely on a mechanism to open it, you must use a mechanical device.

The location of the circular arch is against the mountain, which means that the organs and equipment are either hidden underground or on both sides of the mountain.

In this way, the button to trigger the mechanism must be in these two places.

Following his train of thought, Lin Feng took out the iron ax from his bag and cleaned all the vines and weeds around the stone gate.

And by the way, I also cleaned up the stone wall next to it to see if there were any clues.

During the process of cleaning the stone wall, Lin Feng accidentally discovered that there was a carved painting on it.

Although after years of rain erosion and corrosion and some carvings and paintings became somewhat blurred, this did not affect Lin Feng’s inspection.

There are four pictures on the wall. The first picture roughly tells how to build the building, and the second picture shows a group of people worshiping and living around it.

By the third picture, the whole style of painting became a little strange, with ruins, weeds, and skeletons.

All this is completely inconsistent with the previous prosperity, and it is even more strange when it comes to the fourth vice.

A man holding a long sword is standing on the top of the temple, and he seems to be holding something in his hand, and there are still many people worshiping upwards under the building.

Seeing here, the carvings and paintings are gone, but it doesn’t mean they are gone, but the remaining half has been broken, and Lin Feng can’t see the contents below clearly.

But he was not interested in knowing what happened next.

Turning his gaze back to the first picture, Lin Feng carefully checked the picture recording the construction of the temple at that time, to see if there were any clues to open the door.
