Chapter 5 Night Rainstorm

Chapter 5 Night Rainstorm
”boom--”

The vibration caused by the huge thunder made Lin Feng startled.

After the thunder, it suddenly began to rain outside the house, and it turned into a downpour after a while.

”Wow--swish-swish--”

Hearing the sound of rain outside, Lin Feng got up worried and went to the door.

Pushing open the wooden door, the outside of the house is pitch black at the moment, only a small circle of the door is illuminated by the orange fire in the house.

Looking up at the sky, the sky is pitch black at this moment, and no stars can be seen.

At this time, a thick lightning flashed across the sky, and the light brought by the lightning lit up the entire sky.

Under the dazzling light of lightning, Lin Feng could barely see the situation in the sky at this moment.

The dark clouds covered the entire sky, and one glance at Lin Feng made him feel very depressed.

The lightning beam lasted for several seconds in the air before slowly disappearing, and then the thunder came slowly.

”Dum———”

When the thunder passed by, Lin Feng clearly felt that the ground was also shaking.

Although the duration was short, the vibrating feeling was very clear.

As the strong wind blew, the icy cold rain slapped on Lin Feng’s face.

”The visitor is not good...”

Lin Feng murmured, then closed the door and sat back by the fire to keep warm.

At the same time, I opened the chat interface, wanting to see how other people are doing.

If you can meet some people who also suffered from heavy rain, it means that the distance between the two parties is relatively close, and if there is a chance in the future, we can cooperate.

But when he entered the chat room, Lin Feng was dumbfounded. At this moment, the content of the chat was almost asking for help, and everyone wanted to know how to survive the torrential rain that night.

Is this actually a global thunderstorm?
So how big is this torrential rain?
Hearing the sound of the rainstorm beating on the wooden planks outside, Lin Feng suddenly felt a little lucky at this moment.

Fortunately, the decision to build a wooden house was made early on, otherwise he would be shivering in the rainstorm like everyone else at this moment.

Suddenly Lin Feng seemed to think of something, and his mood suddenly became a little lonely.

’I don’t know if you can make it through this night...’

While roasting by the fire, while watching other people’s chat discussions.

Suddenly, in the vast chat history, Lin Feng suddenly saw a very important message.

”Is the tide high over there? I’ve already flooded half of the island, and it’s still raining...”

The word ’rising tide’ reminded him of something he had forgotten before.

”broken.”

Lin Feng slapped his thigh and hurriedly got up despite the rain to go out to check.

At this moment, the island was covered with a vast ocean, and when Lin Feng stepped out, the sea water reached his ankles.

When he came out to check before, although Lin Feng didn’t pay attention to the position of the sea water, he was sure that it didn’t rise to the position of the door.

In just a few minutes here, the sea water has risen to the door. At this speed, it won’t take long to submerge the entire desert island.

Fortunately, the site I chose to build the house was closer to the center of the island, and the high tide would not be able to come up for a while.

Don’t worry about the deserted island being flooded, the sea will recede sooner or later.

But it was a big deal for him that the cabin would be flooded that night.

Water entered the house, let alone whether he could sleep well, the bonfire in the house must suffer first.

At that time, there will be no stable heat source, even if you hide in the house, it will be difficult to spend the night safely.

Stepping on the cold sea water, Lin Feng walked around the house holding on to the wooden wall.

He found that although the sea water had submerged the base of the wall, he hadn’t found any signs of water seepage in the house just now.

Back in the house, Lin Feng carefully checked the connection between the foundation and the wooden wall, and found that the waterproof performance of the wooden house exceeded his expectations.

There is no sign of water leakage in the connection, but looking at the seawater seeping in from the wooden door, this is a problem.

Lin Feng thought for a while, and decided to use the most stupid method, dismantling the wooden door and replacing it with a wooden wall to block the sea water.

However, there are no materials at hand, so according to the current situation, we still have to exchange for food.

Although there is not much food in his hands, he can’t care about so much at the moment, and the most important thing is to make himself through the night safely.

Enter the trading market and search for wood.

At this moment, the trading ratio of timber fell from 6:1 in the afternoon to 3:1.

The proportion of wood fell, which was unexpected by Lin Feng.

But it also makes sense when you think about it carefully, two parts of wood can make one campfire.

If there is no heavy rain at night, the bonfire can bring too many benefits, such as cold protection, lighting, hot food and so on.

At the same time, wood can also be used to build a shelter from wind and rain. If used properly, surviving this stormy night is not a problem.

A wooden wall only needs two pieces of wood, but just in case, Lin Feng took an extra box of cans to exchange for an extra set of wood.

Program the wooden wall into the crafting list, then take a piece of wood from your backpack.

The piece of wood defined in the backpack is one meter long, about thirty centimeters in diameter, and forms a cylinder.

Looking at the big guy in front of him, the corners of Lin Feng’s eyes twitched. How did this thing... get stuffed into the treasure chest?

It can be imagined that all the items will go directly into the different-dimensional backpack, and it seems normal to take out such a large wooden stake.

After gesturing the size of the wooden stake, Lin Feng looked at the position of the water seepage at the door.

It seems that there is no way to block the seawater by blocking the wooden stakes at the door, so it seems that it needs to be processed.

At random, Lin Feng included the stone ax in the production list.

It’s just that after Lin Feng knew the size of the stake, he used wood to make a stone axe, and he always thought it was weird.

Does a stone ax require so much wood?

Is it possible that this production interface also has kickbacks?
”Wait, rock?”

Lin Feng seemed to have thought of something, canceled the stone ax waiting to be made, and then took out the stone from the backpack.

The shape of the stone is a cuboid, one meter long like wood, about thirty centimeters wide, and only about half the width in thickness.

Compared with wooden piles, the shape of stones is perfect for blocking sea water.

Putting the wood back into the backpack, Lin Feng carefully moved the stone, and moved it horizontally to block the gap in the door.

The stone weighed more than 100 kilograms, and Lin Feng used all his strength to carry it.

With the help of stones, the seawater seeping through the cracks in the door was also effectively blocked.

This time Kung Fu Lin Feng can wait for the making of the wooden wall with peace of mind.

Eight minutes passed quickly, and as the reminder that the wooden wall was completed appeared, Lin Feng took out the tool hammer and began to dismantle the wooden door.

After removing the wooden door, I took a look at the water level. At this time, the sea water had covered half of the stone slab.

Seeing that the water level was still rising, Lin Feng no longer hesitated to replace the vacant place with a wooden wall.

After solving the problem of water seepage in the house, Lin Feng could breathe a sigh of relief.

But the torrential rain hadn’t stopped yet, and he couldn’t completely let go of his vigilance.

The wooden wall can block the seawater for a while, but not necessarily all the time.

In the event of a leak, he’d have to be prepared to spend the night in a torrential rain...
