Chapter 2693: Chapter 84: Skill and Dao

Causality Skill, Causality Skill, the greatest fallacy lies in the word ”Skill”.

I have been too reliant on ”Skill”.

And naturally thought that by mastering the Causality ”Skill”, I could rely on Divine Sense Calculation Power, rely on Causality ”Magic”, to discern reality, to calculate all the secrets and causes and effects I wanted to know.

But this understanding is wrong.

And gravely wrong.

Mo Hua’s pupils trembled, concentrating intently, reflecting on his causality divinations since entering the Great Wilderness, gradually gaining insight in his heart.

Causality Skill is a Great Dao Magic that consumes Divine Thought to deduce the causes and effects of things.

In Tao Cultivation, this belongs to the realm of the ”Void”.

And the ”Void” must be based upon the realm of ”Reality” of the Great Dao.

Without Reality, there can be no Void.

In other words, one must understand the objective and specific current state of all things and phenomena to use the ”Causality Skill” to deduce the future, the calamities and blessings, and the fortunes and misfortunes of things.

Without understanding the myriad manifestations of the heavens and the earth, without knowing the specific current state, relying solely on ”Causality Skill” for deduction makes it impossible to accurately learn the true causes and effects.

”Skill” is important.

But ”Skill” is merely a bridge, a tool to go from reality to void, and ultimately achieve a unification of reality and void.

Trusting entirely in ”Skill” is like having no Skill at all.

Over-relying on ”Skill” and attempting to depend on the Causality spell point for baseless deductions, to penetrate the mysteries of everything, is merely a delusion, leading ultimately to complacent self-deception.

Mo Hua reflected for a while, quickly realizing that his Calculation of the ”Three Talents” of Heaven, Earth, and Man had this very issue.

He was sitting in the stone chamber, not stepping a foot outside.

Assuming that with his strong Divine Thought and superior Causality Skill, he could directly deduce the timing, geographical advantages, and people’s will regarding the Bi Fang Tribe’s attack.

This is no different from ”discussing strategy on paper”.

It is equally a form of ”arrogance” in wholly trusting Skill.

Mo Hua took this lesson to heart and continued to ponder.

Following this line of thought, the true ”Three Talents” of Heaven, Earth, and Man might not be deduced through Causality Skill, by closed-door ”calculation”.

Instead, one must go into reality, observe with their own eyes, personally observe, then continuously think and summarize, using ”reality” as a medium, supplemented by Divine Sense Calculation Power, to finally deduce step by step.

This is the genuine deduction of causes and effects from reality to void, achieving harmony of reality and void.

Rather than solely relying on ”Divination Skill” to build castles in the air.

”From reality to void, using ’reality’ as a medium, with ’void’ as a method...”

”Observing the timing, examining the geographical situation, understanding the people’s will, deducing cause and effect...”

Mo Hua murmured, feeling that all his doubts suddenly became clear, with deeper insight into causality, his eyes grew brighter.

Then Mo Hua looked up at the sky, glanced around at the surrounding geographical situation, and then, by himself, chose a path to move forward.

He wanted to verify his understanding of causality according to his own ideas.

Chi Feng saw Mo Hua, suddenly dazed in place, lost in thought, muttering to himself, occasionally looking self-reproachful, then again appearing to have an epiphany, eyes bright with resolve, and felt somewhat surprised.

”Lord Shaman... are always this erratic?”

Chi Feng frowned and continued to follow.

Mo Hua walked through the Shugu Valley, at times looking up at the sky to comprehend the flow of time, observing the changing clouds, the miasma permeating. At times he examined the terrain, every blade of grass, every piece of stone, and committed all of it to memory without any discrepancy.

Like this, after walking for most of the day, the surrounding timings and geographical situation became clear in his mind.

But having only the timing and geographical situation was not enough. Mo Hua looked back at Chi Feng and asked:

”What is the military system of the Bi Fang Tribe? What kind of Barbarian Armor do they have? What are the temperaments of the Barbarian Soldiers, their combat habits, their methods of killing? And...”

”In recent days, when, where, and by what means did they launch attacks? How was the process, and from where did they finally retreat?”

Barbarian General Chi Feng did not fully comprehend but still truthfully told Mo Hua everything.

Afterward, afraid that Mo Hua might not understand, he stood on the cliff, pointing out the places where the Bi Fang Tribe had attacked at night in recent days.

After launching a night raid, where the Bi Fang Tribe came from, where they attacked, where they turned after encountering obstruction, and where they ultimately retreated.

Following Chi Feng’s direction, Mo Hua took it all in with his eyes and remembered it in his mind.

Thus, the three elements of Heaven, Earth, and Man were all in place.

With a solemn gaze, Mo Hua turned to Chi Feng and said, ”Lord Chi Feng, protect me.”

Chi Feng paused, nodded, and said, ”Okay.”

Mo Hua sat cross-legged on the ground, slowly closing his eyes.

In his mind, the powerful Divine Sense began to operate.

Strands of Divine Thought transformed into mountain stones and trees, constructing the entire terrain of the Shugu Valley in Mo Hua’s Sea of Consciousness, according to his newfound understanding.

After constructing the terrain, the Divine Thought became ethereal and transformed into the sky.

There were the sun and moon in the sky, dividing day and night, stars arrayed, clouds surging.

Mo Hua used Divine Thought to completely ”replicate” this piece of heaven and earth in front of him according to reality.

And in this Divine Sense ”replica” of heaven and earth, the events that once occurred were also meticulously restored by Mo Hua.

Bi Jie led the Bi Fang Tribe’s Barbarian Soldiers to attack the Danque Tribe.

Dan Zhu and Chi Feng intercepted them.

The powerful adversaries collided, the Barbarian Soldiers slaughtered in the mountain forests.

As time flowed, the terrain changed, people changed, continuously, there were injuries, and deaths.

All of this was transformed by ”Divine Thought”, and in Mo Hua’s mind, following the powerful ”Computational Power” of Divine Sense, it deduced and reenacted itself.

Much like a real ”shadow play”.

This is the ”reenactment” of the past.

And as time slips by, this ”reenactment” of the past gradually reaches its end.
