Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 181 Commander? Call me Captain! A starship!”What do you mean, lacking confidence?” Elder Zhao huffed, his beard bristling as he grinned, ”Are you making fun of me now?”

Su Chen smiled and replied, ”Elder Zhao, I’m not making fun of you! I really do have an idea.”

Elder Zhao asked eagerly, ”What idea? Hurry up and tell me!”

Su Chen smiled calmly and said slowly, ”Look, the combat capabilities of the Aerospace Carrier are not just limited to the ground and the air, but also include space!”

”In fact, the future main battlefield for the Aerospace Carrier will be in space; it was built to deal with potential future space combat!”

”So, I suggest why don’t we form a Space Fleet?”

”What do you think?”

Su Chen’s proposal was like a giant boulder thrown into a calm lake, stirring up massive waves in Elder Zhao’s heart.

Elder Zhao was astonished, staring at Su Chen with wide eyes.

”Good heavens, I asked you whether it belongs to the Navy or the Air Force, and instead, you go and propose upgrading it to a Space Fleet!”

Su Chen said calmly, ”We already have the Space Mecha, and in a few days, the Aerospace Carrier will be completed!”

”By then, looking across the Blue Planet, who can rival us?”

”Let the Americans and their lackeys mess around on the planet; we will go straight to conquering the universe!”

”By then, the resources from any random planet will be enough for us to use for decades or even centuries!”

”So, Elder Zhao, our perspective needs to be broadened!”

Su Chen pinched his fingers together, explaining the logic of broadening one’s perspective!

Su Chen’s words were full of ambition, infecting Elder Zhao with excitement.

”According to what you said, can an old man like me also conquer the universe one day?”

Su Chen smiled and replied, ”What are you saying? My dear Captain?”

”How old are you? Now is the prime age for adventure!”

Elder Zhao was amused by Su Chen’s words and burst into laughter.

”Hahaha, you brat, stop flattering me.”

But the joy in his heart was impossible to hide.

”Alright, alright, I think you’re absolutely right!”

”Once our Aerospace Carrier is built, who would still care about fighting these guys inside the planet?”

”The future application prospects of this Aerospace Carrier are excellent, with great potential!”

Elder Zhao became more and more excited as he spoke, as if he had already seen the glory of the future Space Fleet.

”And it’s not just about mining resources from outer planets; we can even farm on them!” the farming enthusiast General Zhao Yong said with a smile.

Excitement flashed in Elder Zhao’s eyes!

”Goodness, just thinking about being able to farm makes my blood boil!”

”When that time really comes, we will be the ones setting the rules!”

”With so many planets, we’ll pick the good ones first, and leave the rotten ones for other countries.”

Su Chen continued Elder Zhao’s words, ”Rotten planets might still have good resources. Why don’t we just leave the planets we’ve drained dry for them?”

Elder Zhao laughed, ”We are truly too kind, actually thinking about leaving them some soup to drink.”

Su Chen also laughed, ”Who’s to say otherwise!”

Elder Zhao became more and more excited as he spoke, already starting to plan the future Space Fleet in his mind.

He immediately stated that he wanted to discuss this matter with Elder Qin, Qin Jianguo.

Qin Jianguo was the existence in the military with power second only to the Top Leader.

Elder Zhao wanted to talk to him about the idea of establishing a Space Fleet!

Su Chen, however, said, ”No need to rush, right?”

Elder Zhao shook his head repeatedly, ”It must be done as soon as possible; if someone else proposes it first, it will be too late.”

”We can also take this opportunity to propose that I, this old man, serve as the person in charge of the Space Fleet.”

As he spoke, a look of smugness immediately appeared on his face.

Su Chen gave him a thumbs up and teased, ”Old man, it has to be you! So that’s what you were waiting for!”

No wonder he was in such a rush!

In the office, the two men’s loud laughter rang out!

At this moment, the captain of the Space Mecha squad responsible for this transport mission found Su Chen!

”Chief Engineer Su, we have something to report to you!”

Su Chen was taken aback, ”What is it?”

The squad leader said, ”The Anti-gravity Engine along with the Nuclear Reactor have been transported to the designated location!”

Hearing this, Su Chen knew it was time for him to go back.

He looked at Elder Zhao, ”I will send people over later to assemble the Nuclear Reactor module!”

”As for the installation of the Anti-gravity Engine, I will leave it to the Longhang Shipyard! I will pass the relevant technology to the shipyard’s researchers later.”

Elder Zhao nodded, indicating he understood.

But at the same time, he was a bit surprised, ”You can’t be planning to leave just after arriving, right?”

Su Chen shrugged, ”I suppose so!”

Elder Zhao strongly urged him to stay, ”It’s been so long since we last met; you must have a meal before going back.”

He immediately ordered his subordinates to block the door!

It was a posture of not letting Su Chen leave!

Seeing Elder Zhao so enthusiastic, Su Chen felt embarrassed to refuse.

However, at this moment, the squad leader said again, ”Chief Engineer Su, we just received news from the research institute; they hope you can return quickly, as there is an important matter that requires you to preside over it!”

The project being conducted at the research institute was the Eternal Day Project!

It concerned the country’s grand strategy!

Su Chen dared not be careless, and he also knew the importance of the Eternal Day Project.

Elder Zhao also knew the urgency of the matter, so he stopped blocking him.

”Next time, we must drink until we’re drunk; all the good wine is being saved for you.”

Su Chen replied, ”Definitely next time.”

Watching the back of Su Chen preparing to leave in his mecha, Elder Zhao muttered, ”Now, asking my good-for-nothing son to have a granddaughter... I wonder if it’s too late?”

Su Chen piloted the Space Mecha and activated the Stealth ability; his figure immediately disappeared, as if he had never appeared at all.

Except for the humming sound of the engine, which let everyone know he was still in the air.

”Old man, I’m leaving! See you next time!”

Su Chen’s amplified voice rang out in the air.

Elder Zhao waved at him and said with a chuckle, ”You brat, next time we meet, you’ll have to call me Captain.”

Su Chen smiled calmly, ”No problem!”

Accompanied by the roaring engine sound, the Space Mecha squad completely disappeared from the spot.

After Su Chen left, Elder Zhao stood in place, his thoughts whirling.

He imagined the magnificent scene of the future Space Fleet, and his heart was filled with anticipation.

Establishing a Space Fleet would be a decision of great historical significance.

It would not only change the country’s military landscape but also open up new paths for humanity to explore the universe.

Elder Zhao knew deeply that although this idea was bold, it was not unreachable.

With the continuous progress of technology, humanity’s exploration of the universe was also deepening.

The appearance of the Aerospace Carrier and the Space Mecha had already laid the foundation for the establishment of the Space Fleet.

And Su Chen’s proposal made this goal even clearer and more concrete.

Elder Zhao decided to discuss this matter with Qin Jianguo as soon as possible.

He believed that Qin Jianguo would also see the huge potential of the Space Fleet.

In this era full of challenges and opportunities, the country needed forward-looking strategic vision and the courage to take bold steps.

Establishing a Space Fleet would be an important step for the country to become stronger.

Meanwhile, Su Chen was piloting the Space Mecha, flying quickly towards the research institute.

The Eternal Day Project was one of the projects he was currently most concerned about.

This project was related to the country’s energy security and future development.

He had to return to the research institute as soon as possible to preside over important work.

During the flight, Su Chen was also thinking about the future of the Space Fleet.

He knew that establishing a Space Fleet was not something that could be achieved overnight.

It required a massive amount of resources, technology, and talent.

But he believed that as long as the country had the determination and perseverance, it would definitely be able to achieve this grand goal.

The dream of farming on outer planets seemed to be one step closer!
