Stop Fooling the Us, China Really is Doing This!

Chapter 155 We absolutely cannot let them off easily this time. The shell of the Electromagnetic Naval Gun was enveloped in a layer of ionizing light!

The air along its path was instantly ionized, as if a winding, raging dragon of purple lightning accompanied it forward.

In the blink of an eye, it arrived above the US secret base, crashing down like a visitor from outer space.

First, a light a thousand times more blinding than the scorching sun appeared, followed immediately by an explosion capable of shattering one’s soul.

With the impact point as the core, ripples of energy spread wildly, and the buildings they touched dissipated like powder.

The ground shook violently, as if the base had been slammed by an invisible giant hand.

The impact of the shell was like a volcanic eruption; the underground bunkers were completely ripped open, and the reinforced concrete snapped like fragile branches.

The crater expanded rapidly like the mouth of a giant beast, mercilessly swallowing everything in its vicinity.

Flames shot into the sky, and thick smoke billowed like the dark clouds of an apocalypse.

The high-pressure shockwave generated by the explosion spread in a ring, overturning and destroying fighter jets, while warships were snapped and thrown about like toys.

Metal fragments flew everywhere, and in an instant, the base was reduced from a military fortress to a living hell.

A massive mushroom cloud, akin to one from Nuclear Weapons, rose into the air!

As that massive mushroom cloud began to gradually dissipate.

The image became clear once again!

Seeing the current state of the naval base, everyone was stunned by the scene before them.

At this moment, not to mention the base, even that island which once carried countless US military secrets and symbolized its powerful strength!

had completely disappeared.

In the location where the island originally stood, only a vast expanse of ocean remained.

Waves continuously lapped against the empty sea surface, and debris covered a large area of the ocean.

President Biden watched the scene before his eyes, completely stunned, unable to speak for a long time.

Before long, his legs twitched, and an unidentified liquid poured out from between the elderly man’s legs!

...

Inside the flagship command room of the longwei warship fleet.

The atmosphere gradually shifted from tense to relaxed and pleasant.

Having just experienced a world-shaking military operation, the crew members’ faces showed fatigue, but even more so, the pride and joy of victory.

At this time, the screen switched again, and the steady and kind figure of Elder Zhao appeared on the screen, greeting the nationwide audience.

Elder Zhao stood as straight as a pine, his eyes bright and gentle; despite having just commanded a heart-pounding battle, his expression remained calm and composed.

”Dear fellow countrymen, Happy New Year!”

Elder Zhao’s voice was transmitted through the live broadcast signal to every corner of the Dragon Kingdom.

His greeting was like a warm spring breeze, brushing against everyone’s heart.

Subsequently, according to the plan, the live broadcast screen switched back to the Spring Festival Gala.

The joyous and peaceful atmosphere at the Spring Festival Gala formed a stark contrast with the tense naval battle just witnessed, yet they merged miraculously, as if telling of the calmness and composure that the Dragon Kingdom can maintain at any time.

Meanwhile, over at The Pentagon, the Secretary of State seemed to have suffered a massive blow; his face was pale as paper, his body swaying, and he was on the verge of fainting.

His eyes stared blankly at the screen, feeling both angry and powerless!

The overseas base they had spent hundreds of billions of dollars to build had been reduced to ashes in the blink of an eye!

And the culprit behind all this—the Dragon Kingdom fleet—was currently celebrating the New Year in a festive mood!

As if they had just done something trivial!

All the high-level officials of the US felt their scalps tingle at this moment!

Just then, the commanders of the two aircraft carrier fleets anxiously sent an inquiry:

”Mr. Secretary of State, should we proceed with the strike against the Dragon Kingdom fleet as ordered?”

The Secretary of State had originally given them orders that as long as the Dragon Kingdom made a move, they should strike!

But after seeing the naval base instantly annihilated by the Electromagnetic Naval Gun, they had no intention of acting, fearing that if they made a move, they would end up just like the naval base!

The Secretary of State looked at the majestic Dragon Kingdom warships on the screen and the now-vanished secret base, his heart filled with fear and despair.

The terrifying beam of the Electromagnetic Railgun and the massive mushroom cloud kept appearing in his mind; how could he have any confidence to continue fighting?

”Retreat... retreat, retreat immediately!”

The Secretary of State said, his lips trembling as he issued the order with difficulty.

His voice was hoarse and weak, as if he had exhausted all his strength.

The moment he issued the order, he knew that the US had suffered unprecedented humiliation this time, but faced with the Dragon Kingdom’s powerful military strength, he had no choice.

”If we counterattack now, in the face of the enemy warships’ powerful defensive capabilities, we may not necessarily be able to wipe them out completely!”

”And their fleet possesses the terrifying Electromagnetic Naval Gun, capable of bypassing the nuclear treaty to launch a devastating strike against us!”

”Retreat is currently our only and wisest choice!” the Secretary of State explained.

Of course, they could use Nuclear Weapons to go head-to-head with the Dragon Kingdom, but they couldn’t!

Once they used Nuclear Weapons to retaliate against the Dragon Kingdom, the world would fall into chaos!

The Dragon Kingdom had not violated the nuclear treaty, and they were striking ”pirates”!

If they, the US, violated the nuclear treaty and attacked the Dragon Kingdom, they would be actively violating the treaty and would suffer a joint strike from all nuclear-armed nations!

It wasn’t worth it for three enemy warships!

Thus, for the sake of peace, the US gave up on nuclear annihilation!

When the Secretary of State said these words, he felt a bit ironic!

Since when had they ever considered peace? Wasn’t this all something the Dragon Kingdom needed to consider in the past?

At this moment, the roles had reversed!

After receiving the retreat order, the US aircraft carrier fleet immediately fell into chaos.

The carrier-based aircraft hurriedly took off, circled in the air a few times, and then quickly returned to the carrier.

The destroyers and cruisers engaged their engines at full power, kicking up huge waves on the sea surface.

Soldiers ran around in panic on the decks, executing various retreat orders.

The entire fleet, like a flock of frightened birds and beasts, fled in panic towards the distance.

The longwei warship side also quickly learned the news of the US fleet’s retreat.

Enthusiastic cheers and applause immediately erupted in the command room.

Upon hearing this news, Elder Zhao immediately laughed.

His hearty laughter echoed in the command room, full of relief and pride.

”The aircraft carrier warships have pushed their speed to maximum horsepower!”

”It seems the US was really scared by us this time.”

Elder Zhao said with a smile!

As he spoke, he couldn’t help but think of Su Chen, who was far away in the country!

He knew that being able to achieve such a result was entirely due to Su Chen’s contribution; this kid had given their morale a huge boost!

”Chief, should we continue to pursue?” a subordinate asked.

”Fighting pirates is fine, but if we continue to pursue their warships, that would be tantamount to starting a war.”

Elder Zhao’s expression became serious.

He knew well the cruelty and consequences of war; although the Dragon Kingdom had achieved victory in this standoff, they did not wish to easily provoke a war.

However, they could not let Turkey off easily.

”Now, it’s time to settle the score with those guys!”

Elder Zhao narrowed his eyes slightly, a subtle cold smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.

With both new and old grudges, they absolutely could not let them off lightly this time.
