Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

197: Chapter 197 Internet Speed GodhoodThree days passed in a flash. The first batch of 5G base stations in pilot cities like Shanghai, Beijing, and Guangzhou and Shenzhen were all constructed, with debugging work wrapping up overnight.

At exactly nine o’clock in the morning, the core experience zones of several major cities were already crowded. Official Authorities staff, the CCTV live broadcast team, and on-site engineers were all in position. Dense rows of cameras were pointed at speed-testing equipment, while hundreds of millions of netizens across the web waited in live stream rooms.

At nine-thirty, the internal testing for the nationwide 5G network officially began!

A CCTV host held a microphone, standing in the center of the experience zone:

”Viewers, we are now welcoming a historic moment!”

”Huaxia Tianxing’s independently developed 5G network begins its public field test today!”

”Next, on-site engineers will publicly test speeds, latency, and the effect of simultaneous multi-device networking. All data will be broadcast live throughout the process—open, transparent, and absolutely genuine!”

As the words fell, the live stream comments began to scroll rapidly:

”It’s here, it’s here! The ultimate field test is finally here!”

”I’ve been watching the stream all morning just for this moment! Let’s see exactly how awesome 5G is!”

”The time to crush 4G has arrived. Let the whole world open its eyes!”

”To that group of clout-chasers from South Korea, hunker down now and watch the face-slapping live!”

”Who else understands?! I was so excited last night I couldn’t sleep, just waiting for the Tianxing 5G field test. Just go for it!”

”Any experts here? Predict the download speed. I bet 1GB per second!”

”With the CCTV live broadcast backing it, there’s absolutely no faking it. This is a sure thing!”

An on-site technical engineer wearing a work badge walked calmly to the speed-testing equipment.

They had debugged these devices countless times; the data was already etched into their minds.

The engineer raised a hand to signal for silence and said:

”Next, we will first test the standard download speed by directly downloading a 4K Ultra-HD theatrical movie. There will be no pausing or compression throughout the process. You can watch the progress bar in real-time.”

After speaking, he clicked the download link and pressed the confirm button.

In the next second, the entire audience gasped in unison, making a significant contribution to global warming!

The progress bar for that Ultra-HD blockbuster, which was over ten gigabytes, surged forward like a rocket. It filled up at a speed visible to the naked eye, and in less than a few seconds, it displayed ’Download Complete’!

The scene instantly erupted. Reporters held their cameras, snapping photos frantically. The onlookers widened their eyes, their faces filled with disbelief.

The live stream comments instantly flooded the screen:

”Holy crap, holy crap, holy crap! Was that fast-forwarded? My eyes couldn’t even keep up!”

”Over ten gigabytes! It would take me half a day on 4G. This was just a few seconds? This is insane!”

”Come out, whoever bet 1GB per second! You were too conservative. This speed is at least triple that!”

The engineer spoke again:

”Next, we’ll test game latency. We will connect to the most bandwidth-heavy competitive online game currently available and watch the background latency data in real-time.”

The screen switched to the game’s backend. The latency value was pinned at a single digit, almost approaching zero!

”No lag, no frame skipping, skills trigger instantly. Professional tournament-level network speed, and you can experience it at home!”

”Esports players are rejoicing! From now on, they’ll never have to blame latency again. If you’re bad, you’re bad—no more excuses!”

”Latency is what I hate most when gaming. If this becomes widespread, I can charge from Bronze to Challenger!”

”Compared to the 4G latency abroad, this is simply a dimensional strike. It’s too ridiculous!”

Immediately after, the staff opened four simultaneous 4K Ultra-HD live streams. Over a dozen devices—phones, tablets, and computers—were connected to a single 5G signal at the same time. The visuals remained smooth and silky without a single frame of lag.

The engineer smiled as he announced the data:

”In this field test, the 5G peak download speed was pushed to the limit, and latency was brought to the absolute minimum. Even if over a thousand devices connect to one base station simultaneously, the signal remains as steady as Mount Tai. This is the hard power of our Tianxing 5G!”

”Over a thousand devices connected at once? In the future, when everyone in the neighborhood uses it together, we won’t have to worry about lag!”

”The TV, phones, tablets, and computers at home can all connect at once. No more fighting over the WiFi. Awesome!”

”This hard power just rubs foreign manufacturers’ faces in the dirt. So satisfying!”

Once these sets of data were exposed, the major experience zones went completely wild. The influencers, bloggers, and ordinary citizens on-site all scrambled to try it for themselves, each holding a phone and shouting with excitement.

A gaming streamer jumped up while holding his phone:

”Oh my god! Playing ranked matches, I’m not afraid of latency at all. Wall-bangs and flick-shots don’t lag one bit. This network speed has ascended to godhood!”

An office worker sighed repeatedly in amazement:

”In the future, transferring large files or sending high-definition blueprints will be done in seconds. No more sitting in the office waiting for things to load!”

A student took screenshots frantically and said:

”Online classes, binge-watching shows, downloading materials—you can do whatever you want. Comparing 4G to 5G is like an old carriage racing a high-speed train!”

”Designers are rejoicing! Massive PSD files open in a second. No more getting irritable while waiting for things to load!”

”Those living abroad are crying! Video calls with family won’t lag anymore, and the HD quality is maxed out. I miss home so much!”

”Is this the Huaxia Speed? I love it, I love it. No regrets being Huaxian in this life!”

The nationwide trending searches were completely dominated; eight of the top ten were about 5G:

#Tianxing 5G Field Test Speed Ascends to Godhood#

#How Ridiculous the Gap Between 4G and 5G Is#

#5G Internal Testing Begins in Major Cities#

#One Ultra-HD Movie Per Second#

The view counts for these tags surged upward, and netizen reviews and comments were endless:

”I’ve never seen such a fast network in my life. It has completely overturned my understanding!”

”I used to think 4G was fast enough. Only now do I know what a dimensional strike is!”

”Thanks to President Chen, thanks to Tianxing, for giving us so much face!”

”No more needing to envy foreign network speeds. We are directly leading the way!”

”Field test screenshots saved. Sending them to my friend studying abroad to make him cry with envy!”

”Please roll it out quickly! I’m willing to pay more for my phone bill; this speed is just too good!”

”Tianxing is awesome! Chen Mo is awesome! Huaxia Technology is awesome! Important things must be said three times!”

”Compared to the foreign 5G that was hyped up to high heaven before, this is the real black technology!”

While the entire internet was celebrating, some people specifically went to foreign social media platforms to see the comments of those South Korean netizens who had previously tried to claim credit. Unexpectedly, even after seeing the explosive field test data, these people remained stubborn as a dead duck:

”This bit of data is nothing. We in South Korea have had even stronger technology for a long time; it’s just not public!”

”The field test must have been specially optimized. Once it’s actually rolled out, it won’t reach this speed at all!”

”Even if 5G is great, so what? Chen Mo is still South Korean!”

”Huaxia just plagiarized our technology. Otherwise, how could it be so fast!”

”Wait until our South Korean 5G is public. It will crush Huaxia in minutes. Just you wait and see!”

When these screenshots were sent back to China, netizens immediately delivered a hardcore face-slapping response:

”The field test was live-streamed and proven beyond doubt, and you’re still being stubborn? Your faces are already swollen; doesn’t it hurt?”

”The data was broadcast live the whole time with hundreds of millions watching. You still dare to say it’s fake?”

”When you can’t beat the technology, you start acting like a rogue. That’s all you’re capable of!”

”I’ve never seen anyone so persistent in trying to steal people. Is it that hard to admit Huaxia is powerful?”

”Plagiarism? Do you have evidence? If you can’t produce it, shut up. Don’t embarrass yourselves here!”

”Technology that hasn’t been made public? More like it doesn’t exist at all. You’re just deceiving yourselves!”

”Chen Mo is Huaxian, with household registration as proof. If you try to steal him again, we’ll report you for spreading rumors!”

”I suggest South Korean netizens watch the live stream replays more often. Stop living in your own world!”

Meanwhile, in the top-floor office of the Tianxing Group.

The Head of the Technology Department, holding a report of the real-time internal test data, knocked and entered the office to report:

”President Chen! It’s exploded! It’s completely exploded! The field test data from the major cities all exceeded the standards!”

”Downloads, latency, multi-device networking—all the data crushed our expectations!”

”Everyone on-site was stunned!”

He originally thought President Chen would be very excited, but when he looked at Chen Mo, he was leaning back in his office chair with a calm and composed expression, without a hint of a ripple.

Chen Mo nodded and spoke leisurely:

”What’s the panic? It’s just a standard operation.”

He paused, then continued:

”What we’ve released now is only the capability of the basic version of 5G. Our true core trump cards, deep optimization technologies, and the follow-up big moves linked with Artificial Intelligence haven’t been revealed yet.”

The Head of the Technology Department was instantly enlightened, and his heart filled with even more awe.

So this current, mind-blowing network speed was just the tip of the iceberg!

”Understood, President Chen! We will continue to maintain the internal test data going forward!”

Chen Mo nodded slightly.
