Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 744: Aftermath [Bonus]

[Is it already done?]

Kent asked when he felt his connection to Vexthra activate.

”Yes. The battle lasted only 24 minutes,” Vexthra responded.

[I see. Then, I suppose the first five floors will be manageable for them. I don’t think they will need my help.] Kent said, and Vexthra nodded.

”I think so, too. None of them is using their trump cards yet, so I guess the first five floors will be manageable. However, unless they bring out their game from the 6th floor upwards, I don’t suppose they will have it easy this time around.”

[We can never know until they get there. Thankfully, we have 12 years to clear all floors, so we still have time. However, I also have to get to a high world quickly so that they can start raising their cultivation bases again.]

Vexthra couldn’t deny that. However, she knew Kent had some missions yet to finish in this world before he could leave.

For now, she would help her sisters and the legion move sturdily so that reducing Kent’s workload would be accomplished as planned.

”We are about to explore the second floor since the map has activated.”

[Good. What about the drops, are they still only memory keys?] Kent asked.

”Not exactly. This time, Alina, Mara, and Skoggr got a drop, which gave them a memory key. But aside from that, Lovina also received a drop, but instead of a key, she got a skill manual that once belonged to her past self, I suppose.

It was something she received from dealing the last blow to the floor boss.”

Kent smiled inwardly. He had yet to awaken Princess Lovina’s true name, so hearing she had already started receiving stuff from her past life made him happy.

[I will awaken her true name when I come back from the Flame Valley. By then, I am sure they will all start seeing the true nature of the dungeon and its dangers.]

”That will be great for her. She will finally be able to regress her primordial spirit and start walking the ancient path just like all of us.”

After a few more talks, Kent cut the connection.

Vexthra made sure every last one of them got the bone thread tempering elixir, which immediately boosted their strength to another level before going about their search.

The map was becoming more detailed, so they started to find clues and hidden messages a few minutes into the search.

Meanwhile, Kent first took a look at the descriptions of the two items, aside from the elixir, soul essence, and tower points he received.

The first is [Song Of The Fallen].

It is a soul-hunting song that can be played with any instrument. It has seven verses, and judging by the requirements to play such a song, Kent knew it would be a while before such a melody was heard on battlefields.

He felt no attachment to it, almost as if it wasn’t meant to be his. So he knew the Tower storage would be the best place for it for the time being.

The second, however, was something he could use.

[Soul Lantern]

According to the description, this lantern allows him to catch the soul spirits of those he has slain, or any soul around him or the lantern. He doesn’t know how far it extends, but he knows the lantern is a broken item.

Having the ability to capture soul spirits is awesome.

However, it goes beyond that. The description of this lantern also indicates that it allows him to convert soul spirits into soul essence.

Souls, when the main body dies, come in three forms.

The first is the Soul Essence.

That is what Kent devours after every kill using the automated Soul Devour skill. This is the purest form of every soul, and almost everyone who devours souls goes after this one.

The second is the Soul Spirit.

This version is the one that can be absorbed into the soul flags to create restrictions, whether for defense or attack. These soul spirits can’t be absorbed because the essence that keeps them is much more lethal.

It was one of the reasons why Nykali was able to create spectrals from them. Soul spirits aren’t tamed like soul essence. Soul spirits can be weaponized to become spectrals.

However, now this lantern can convert them into soul essence, which he can consume.

As for the last form, it is the Damned Spirits. These ones go straight to the underworld, where they become dead spirits, meant to remain there forever.

Naturally, Kent knew those couldn’t be absorbed, regardless of how monstrous one was. Yama wouldn’t allow that. But soul spirits are a different matter.

And now, he has acquired something he can use to expand his soul universe further. The best part: he doesn’t even have to take it out to absorb souls.

By activating it, a tattoo of a lantern appears on his arm, which, whenever there is a soul, he can easily absorb as if it were the most normal thing to do.

’This is a good one. I can finally earn not just from absorbing the essence, but also the spirit.’ Kent entered his soul universe for a moment, and what he saw brought a smile to his face, making the eight Half-Elves within the carriage wonder what was funny.

The asteroid is coming along steadily.

It has now grown to the size of an adult head, and the energy he felt from it was enough to tell him that when it is unleashed, the unfortunate soul that this asteroid will strike will scream its way to the underworld.

’I need to add more races to my Guardian Tower so that I can create more of this. If I were to unleash this one now, I would have to start a new asteroid from scratch.

However, if I add more races to my Guardian Tower, creating other things should be sufficient. I need to have at least ten stadium-sized asteroids before ascending to a high world.

Under no circumstances should I lack even when facing an immortal.’ Kent made his plan, so he sent the lantern to Vexthra for now to use in capturing the souls they would claim from the third floor upward.

Kent, on the other hand, is now looking to strengthen his soul flame, as he will be entering the Flame Tower in two weeks, and a week after that, the sect...
