Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 485: River of Hell (1)

The place Kent arrived in was the realm he wished for.

The realm crystal had taken his wish, which in this case was the Soul Realm. He wished for that type of realm.

The rest would be based on how the crystal worked. Kent wouldnʼt know where he would appear or how the realm would look and behave.

That was completely random, so he was taken aback when he appeared, hovering in the air over a large expanse of river.

However, his soul also felt at peace in that very moment. Perhaps that was how it was meant to be or what he wanted to feel.

But that tranquility didnʼt last for long when he felt a sudden pressure fall on his soul. It wasnʼt a physical push; it felt more like a powerful force pressing against his soul.

Then he lost his balance and plunged into the depths of the river, sinking to the bottom instantly. The pull of or push on his soul was so powerful that he had no control over his own body.

Then the name of the Realm was spoken.

While having a good swim would have been great, the realm name alone made him instantly break into a cold sweat despite being submerged in water.

”Welcome to the River of Hell.” The voice was the same as the towerʼs. However, despite having become addicted to that feminine voice over the past months, he felt this tone was a little icy.

It sounded cold and emotionless. This made him sense that something was amiss, and to confirm that, a second sentence entered his mind, making Kent finally understand what he had found himself in.

”You are now inside a Tier 3 Soul Realm called the River of Hell. Since this is a Tier 3 Soul Realm, you will go through three phases, each more powerful than the last.

It will feel like you are facing the owner of this realm, meaning you must see this as a real deal.

While you can easily die when caught in this realm, you wonʼt die here, but you will experience death three times because you donʼt have what it takes to withstand this realm.

Of course, you are immune to soul attacks, but while that would help you in the outside world, this is the soul world, where I have supreme control, and so I removed that immunity from your soul.

This is to ensure you are fully immersed in the experience. It will be over sooner than you think, so absorb as much as possible.”

”Akira, I know itʼs you. Youʼd better be prepared for what I have in store for you after you are done tricking me,” Kent said.

He was able to talk even inside the river.

”I didnʼt trick you, Master. I just let my pal, Tower, speak in that tone. This is to make you understand the dangers of realms.”

”You may be immune to soul attacks, but not sword, bow, mage, axe, and other realms. So, have your first experience. Let it be your first learning curve.

I am sure you will thank me after”

The moment Akiraʼs voice faded, the river started to surge. Kent quickly sensed he was in for a wild ride, so he prepared to soak everything in, even to the bitter end.

He wonʼt die permanently, but he will die.

”River of Hell,” the Tower spoke again, still maintaining that icy tone. However, as the river surged, Kent began to feel the water getting hotter and hotter.

”Calling the Creatures from the Trenches.” The river immediately became still, as if it had never surged. It was now calm.

However, from two kilometers away, he saw a wave coming toward him—a wild wave capable of swallowing Moutians.

It was surging toward him like a tsunami.

Yet, as harrowing as the wave appeared, his soul sank further when his eyes landed on the thousands of grotesque-looking creatures, each housing thousands of teeth in their maw.

They came with the wave, and before Kent knew it, he was swarmed from all sides. Though Kent knew he wouldnʼt die, he instinctively released a soul wave, trying to push them back.

However, his soul attack merely washed over the creatures, doing nothing to stop them.

”What? These are Tier 13 soul creatures!” Kent immediately recognized the rank of the creatures. Each was a Tier 13 soul creature, meaning they were at least at the Spirit Ascension stage.

Kent watched as the creatures swarmed him. But the scene paused just before a thirteen-meter-tall trench beast was about to bite into him.

Kent might have been underwater, but the scene around him terrified him, causing him to break into a cold sweat.

”Master, I know youʼre wondering just how this is possible—I mean, youʼre about to be bitten in half by a Tier 13 soul beast that can only be found in the Fourth Level of Hell.”

Akira giggled, making Kent narrow his gaze in a random direction.

”This is possible because of a personʼs knowledge of soul cultivation and the strength of their soul. You are a soul cultivator, Master, but you donʼt possess a soul art.”

”Goddess Vexthra gave you one, but you have yet to start using it. This means that while you are a Tier 10 soul cultivator, the highest level of soul attack you can unleash is Tier 10.”

”Iʼd say itʼs more like the basic form of a Tier 10 soul attack. True attacks come from knowing how the soul works and understanding your soul art.”

”I donʼt want to talk much, so feel the realm, and we will talk more about the soul art.”

”Wait—” Kent wanted to adjust himself first before the scene unpaused, but the cheeky Akira didnʼt wait for him.

It was instant, and before he knew it, he was bitten in half and died...

Or more like he tried dying, since the moment he died, he appeared in the calm river again.

”That was intense,” Kent sighed, watching deep into the water that spread as far as the eye could see. he couldnʼt help but wonder just what just happened.

The first tier wasnʼt something someone could handle, not when they didnʼt have a realm of equal strength.

If that was the case, then what about the next second and third?

”The master should be ready for the second one,” Akira said. ”While the first was terrifying, the second will be even more so, considering it was comprehended and formed after making a breakthrough in soul art.”

”Bring it on,” Kent said, making a come-get-me gesture.

”Be careful, Master. In this universe, there are some things that those with weak wills canʼt handle,” Akira warned.

”Are you calling me weak?” Kent asked.

”You are not weak, Master, but sometimes, you must know when to step back.” The moment Akira said that, the tower activated the second tier of the River of Hell.

”Calling the Creatures of the Deep: Hellmongers.”

The water turned dark in an instant, causing Kent to gasp. Thankfully, no water entered his mouth. That would have been embarrassing, considering he was deep inside a river.

Then, from deep within the depths of the river, crimson eyes exuding potent soul energies lit up, changing the hue of the water from dark to red.

The river surged...
