Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 460: Kent Vs Protector Navarro (1)

The sword arcs kept raining down from the void, forcing Protector Navarro to parry and unleash spear swings to defend against them.

Every swing of his spear generated powerful shockwaves.

However, he was still struggling—though his reaction speed was far from ordinary.

After all, he wasnʼt just a Core Formation expert sitting at Level 3; he was also a Spear spear, someone Kent shouldnʼt be fighting against.

He also possessed soul strength currently at the peak of Tier 10. So, in all aspects, he is better than Kent...

All of this wasnʼt something Kent should be able to contend with. But Kent wasnʼt like everyone else—he had already ensured his speed had reached a new height.

Plus, Kent was also a Gold Body cultivator, so surprise attacks wouldnʼt catch him off guard.

One could say he has a thick skin.

So, while the Protector was defending against the sword arcs, Kent closed in and executed a series of rapid slashes, sending even more sword arcs at Protector Navarro, who spun his spear, creating a vortex of wind around him.

”Oh, but that wonʼt save you.”

Kent used the Lunar Eclipse Strike skill, causing a crescent-shaped arc to flash out from thin air and strike the vortex.

This caused the vortex to dissipate.

However, the moment the vortex was destroyed, Kent couldnʼt find Protector Navarro where he had been standing. This put him on high alert.

Suddenly, a figure appeared behind him, stabbing a spear toward his back. But Kent was prepared—he dodged to the side and swung his leg.

Protector Navarro raised his leg, blocking Kentʼs kick.

He then swung his spear at Kentʼs head, but the brat was too fast for that.

Kent ducked low, his body brushing the ground as the spear whooshed overhead. He twisted mid-roll, planted his hand, and flipped backward, narrowly avoiding a second strike aimed at his legs.

It was pure close combat at this point, with neither showing any signs of being overwhelmed.

Of course, this wasnʼt what anyone expected—watching Kent fight someone four realms above him. It was like witnessing the most questionable thing, yet no one could question it.

Kent was indeed fighting a being considered the peak of this world, and he wasnʼt struggling at all.

If only they knew—Kent wasnʼt a mere Great Sage.

He had already surpassed that stage long before reaching the Maximization stage. Now, he had broken a limit within himself, and Kent sensed that he would soon take a much deeper dive into this Maximization.

It had pushed him to a stage where he could feel his movement reaching the initial stages of Core Formation even without using his dragon bloodline.

That was how terrifying he had become.

Protector Navarro could sense that, which was why he was doing everything he could to avoid being overwhelmed.

He initially thought he could easily handle Kent, considering he was just a level 8 Root Great Sage. But after facing him, he started to see why Kent chose to be arrogant when he could have chosen to escape when he had the chance.

That alone pissed him off. However, that wasnʼt the only thing that pissed him off. He made the second discovery after exchanging a few blows with Kent.

ʼHe wanted to use me to test his strength.ʼ

That thought echoed in his mind—and it was true. Kent was making it difficult for him to even use any of his Legendary-grade skills.

He was testing just how strong he had become since Grand Elder Ruolan couldnʼt help him.

This alone was plain disrespect. That was why he was no longer holding back. Killing Kent would give him that calm.

He chose not to give him a breather, which, unfortunately for him, didnʼt do much against Kent.

He charged forward, thrusting his spear in a blur—three quick jabs aimed at Kentʼs chest, shoulder, and thigh.

Kent was using all the knowledge he had absorbed from his past self and the three levels of the Sword Bridge he had cleared.

Itʼs safe to say he had reached a stage in close combat that many could only dream of.

He was deflecting, parrying, and dodging the spear thrusts coming in rapid succession.

Kentʼs feet slid across the ground like a phantomʼs. He could feel the spear qi in the air—it was as if it had been precisely coordinated to target only his vulnerable points.

But that wasnʼt what Kent was worried about.

Somehow, he could tell he had no business fighting someone who was on the same level as a Sword King. That was just too much.

Protector Navarro is a Spear King who could easily kill him using his spear realm.

However, he hadnʼt done so because he couldnʼt use the Spear Realm—just like a Sword King couldnʼt use the Sword Realm against someone who hadnʼt formed one yet or hadnʼt reached the king stage.

He canʼt attack someone who doesnʼt have a realm with your his own realm unless he wants the Heavenly Daos to rain their hatred upon you.

So, despite being out of his league, Kent knew this battle could be won using experience and skill—something he wasnʼt lacking at the moment.

With a sudden burst of movement, Kent stepped inside the Protectorʼs guard, his blade humming as he slashed upward.

Navarro tilted his spear and blocked at the last moment, but the sheer force pushed him back several meters. Dust scattered beneath his boots.

”Edge of the Night.”

”Lunar Eclipse Slash.”

”Thousand Blade Reflection.”

Kent activated three skills at once.

Protector Navarro was drowned in darkness, blinding him completely. Then, from straight ahead, an eye snapped open, unleashing a crescent arc that instantly split into a thousand reflections.

The rain came down on the Protector, who didnʼt see it coming.

He raised his defenses, but they were shattered, allowing most of the attacks to land on his body, sending him flying nearly a mile back.

He slammed into a massive tree, destroying it completely. However, before he could gather himself, a dark shard made of the strongest mineral stabbed at his leg—grazing it, since he managed to dodge even the one aimed at his heart.

Of course, Kent knew he would be able to dodge. That was why he had prepared something else for the Protector, who was now beginning to sense the shift in battle.

Kent was gaining the upper hand, and while the Protector shouldnʼt be struggling to defend against his skills, they were proving surprisingly dangerous.

He was getting back on his feet when his gaze landed on the thousand crescent arcs coming down at him. He knew the battle hadnʼt even entered its final phase, but he was already being forced to get serious.

”Heaven Shattering Spear.” So he decided to unleash his own skill.

The clouds parted as a colossal spear appeared, locking onto Kent. Since thousands of sword arcs were flying at him, it was only natural for Kent to face something of equal intensity.

So, Navarro poured his energy into the attack, causing the massive spear to descend.

However, instead of getting alarmed, Kent smiled.

”You shouldnʼt have done that.” His eyes glowed as he activated one of the seven skills he had learned during the Sword Gaze Enlightenment.
