Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 462: Kent Vs Protector Navarro (3)

The sword gaze Kent awakened and gained enlightenment for wasnʼt as simple as he had thought. He first saw its effect during the fourth-level challenge of the sword bridge.

That was when he noticed that the more he exchanged attacks with the clone version of himself, the more adaptive he became.

It became clear to him that he could easily learn and master his opponentʼs battle style, regardless of their weapon. He could learn the combat style of any weapon user.

Right now, Protector Navarro was using a spear, which caused Kent to learn and master his moves by exchanging attacks with him.

Although the battle had been going on for just eighteen minutes, Kent had already learned Navarroʼs battle style and begun defending effortlessly.

But while that was shocking, it was exactly what Kent had been waiting for.

He knew that if he could adapt to Protector Navarroʼs battle style, he would be able to figure out precisely what needed to be done.

So the moment he understood Protector Navarroʼs combat style, he integrated it into his own. He then used two more minutes to create plans.

This made Protector Navarro sense something was amiss. However, before he could react, Kent stepped back and unleashed a sword skill.

”Void Cleave!”

A dark sword arc about fifteen meters long flashed out of his sword, cleaving through the air and distorting the space around it as it descended upon Protector Navarro.

Protector Navarro, who raised his spear and unleashed a wide arc attempting to defend against the incoming dark sword arc, felt his attack disintegrate before it could even collide with the [Void Cleave].

”Giant Spear Form!”

He quickly jammed his spear into the ground, creating a large spear between himself and the dark sword arc.

The dark sword arc slammed into the spear, destroying it as if it were made of cotton. The cut was effortless.

”Aaagghhh!”

Protector Navarro screamed as he channelled his energy into his spear and stabbed it forward, meeting the sword arc head-on.

The spear and the arc collided, resulting in an explosion that sent Protector Navarro flying. The explosion was that of fire, but tiny arcs made of sword qi and the energy of the void.

”Lunar Eclipse Slash!”

While Navarro was mid-air, Kent activated one of his sword gaze skills, calling forth a large crescent-shaped sword arc that slammed into Protector Navarro, sending him crashing down and creating a large crater where he landed.

”Worked better than I hoped.”

Kent smiled as he vanished from where he stood, appearing a meter from where Protector Navarro was rising.

He unleashed another attack, forcing the kingdom protector to use a movement technique to escape, causing Kentʼs strike to miss.

However, Kent wasnʼt finished yet.

He activated the [Fractured Void] skill, unleashing another [Solar Eclipse Slash] from the void. This time, the attack found its mark, catching the seasoned Kingdom Protector completely off guard.

His body was slammed again into the ground, creating even more cuts.

Kent smiled.

He used the second form of the [Annihilation Sword] skill he received from Vexthra when he made Unity his second wife.

That was the only technique he asked from Vexthra.

Over the one year he spent with Vexthra before sending him to Sonox, he selected some skills he will be asking from her as he keeps growing.

The Annihilation Sword is the only skill he could wield while in the Medium world. This means he canʼt use the others just yet.

Perhaps he would ask for them after becoming a Core Formation expert.

Still, the second form of the Annihilation Swordʼs destructive power exceeded his expectations.

It drew strength from the Void and distance.

The attack grew stronger the farther it travelled toward its target—the longer the distance, the greater the impact.

So, once Kent mastered Protector Navarroʼs moves and realised that stepping back would force the protector to shift his stance, he knew it was the perfect moment to unleash the strike.

”Too bad I canʼt unleash the true form yet,” Kent sighed.

Just as the first form required 450 sword arcs to reach its full potential, the second form also had a limit he couldnʼt yet achieve.

But as he looked at the battered form of Protector Navarro, Kent couldnʼt help but feel he had accomplished something monumental.

”I initially thought Kingdom Protectors were so great... I guess I was wrong.”

Kent smiled again.

”Just who are you?” Protector Navarro asked, spitting blood from his broken jaw.

”Someone who isnʼt afraid of your employers. Just tell me, why are you doing the bidding of the Hand?”

Kent asked, but a sudden, thunderous attack rocked the battlefield before the Kingdom protector could even think of an answer.

Both Kent and Protector Navarro turned toward the disturbance.

”Looks like I need a worthy opponent,” Zareth, Kentʼs fourth undead, said as the space cracked and a colossal serpent appeared, bringing with it a powerful presence.

It was biting into the two legs of Protector Han, who seemed to have lost consciousness.

The terrifying Zareth stood atop the serpentʼs head as the serpent moved from what appeared to be a void-like realm.

In his hand was a scythe stained with blood, considering Protector Han was bleeding profusely.

”Master, you might want to end the battle soon. The weather is changing, which in Eldrich magic means a great calamity is about to befall us,” Zareth said, smiling at Kent.

Kent just smirked, understanding the coded message his unruly True Undead said.

Everyone watching the battle felt their blood run cold. The sight they were witnessing made no sense at all.

The one they had all wished to see struggling was now standing with only minor injuries while his opponents were bleeding profusely.

”Just what is happening?” a figure sitting at the peak of the Sovereign stage asked, standing atop a tall mountain several miles away.

He was clad in simple armour with a hood covering his head.

”Looks like humans now have a monster, just like those on the demon, Elvin, and Dragon continents,” a second figure said. The second figure is a Core Formation expert.

”Do you think they will notice him?” the first figure asked.

”That is why we are here, Zagan. We are here to eliminate all threats against our empire. We already have enough worries from those three empires; we canʼt have a fourth,” the second figure replied.

”Then what are we going to do?” Zagan asked.

”Just wait for now. If my information isnʼt wrong, he will soon be making his way to the ancient battlefield of parting. We will have our chance then. With our power, he wonʼt know what hit him.

So for now, we will let him handle the threats we were also sent to deal with.”

”I will listen to you, general,” Zagan said with a gentle bow before drawing his bow.

”Then how about I take care of the Assassin Lady?” Zagan asked.

”Go ahead. She is injured, so this is the best time,” came the reply.

In the distance, Protector Vari could be seen standing over the passed-out body of the kingdom protector of the Kyrrith Kingdom.

She was injured in multiple places.

Suddenly, she sensed her life was in danger, causing her to move back, narrowly evading a giant, sleek arrow.

However, the arrow that missed turned back and shot at her again. She was too slow to dodge this time because her left leg was hurt from previous battles.

So the arrow came stabbing toward her chest, causing her to close her eyes and embrace death, for she knew the arrow was death.
