Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 477: Fractured Regions

Kent spent close to 10 hours with the Wynthrall family, so he knew why he asked Elaine this question.

During his time with them, he realized just how passionate the family of three was about cultivating herbs and life magic.

Kent saw it in their eyes; they would never stop the path they had started walking on. They looked determined and would forever walk that path.

So he knew this question had to be asked.

Elaine didnʼt immediately answer. Instead, she stayed quiet for five minutes, staring at the beautiful starry sky.

”I donʼt think I will ever touch a cauldron again,” she answered, causing Kent to shake his head.

”I figured you would say something like that. But why, if you donʼt mind me asking,” Kent said, turning his head to look at Elaine.

”To be sincere, I only started alchemy to see if I could find a way to solve our life magic problem.

I saw how my parents were struggling to handle issues that required more than Tier 5 life magic, so I decided to seek other ways to see if they would work.

Of course, I quickly found my answer, but I was trapped and unable to free myself, so I had no choice but to play my role for all these years.

So while I love alchemy, cultivating herbs is something I want and would forever cherish, regardless of the state we are in.”

”I see. That is alright.” Kent wouldnʼt force her to reconsider her decision.

He knew he would have made the same decision if he were in her shoes. The only question now was whether she would be okay getting stuck at the 5th Tier like her parents.

She is currently at the 4th Tier, but even without that, she wouldnʼt be able to get past that stage and would forever be stuck there.

Her normal cultivation base was at the peak of the Great Sage realm, but she could never advance in life magic cultivation.

”I will find a way to solve your bloodline issue. For now, stay with your parents. I will have Gaia send over more seeds for different healing herbs.

Who knows, maybe one of these days you will be able to get past the 5th Tier.”

Elaine nodded with a thankful and hopeful expression.

”Thank you for allowing me and my parents to stay here,” she said.

”Donʼt worry about it. I need more people to make the city lively, so see it as you three are my first residents,” Kent said with a small smile.

”Of course, I would like to say, although you are my servant, itʼs just in name. You donʼt have to worry about serving me like the servants on the outside do,” Kent made sure she understood.

Elaine nodded and stayed with Kent for another hour before leaving. Meanwhile, Kent remained on the platform for a couple of hours.

When dawn came, he summoned the three lolis: Gaia, Akira, and Dori.

”Go ahead, tell me what we are dealing with,” Kent said, now seated on the stone platform.

Gaia was the first to speak.

⟪I can indeed sense their bloodline had been suppressed by a powerful spell that can only be found in the high worlds. Itʼs as they said, a Tier 15 spell...

It prevented them from awakening their bloodlines, and because of that, over the years, the potency, or more like the trace, of their bloodline keeps fading away.

Right now, aside from Elaine, who seems to have a much higher potency of their bloodline, her parents donʼt. Her father has a trace, but itʼs faint, and her mother has none simply because she is not from the same bloodline.

Of course, she learned to use life magic, but she wouldnʼt awaken the bloodline even if the spell were to be broken.⟫

”I see. This is indeed troublesome,” Kent scratched the back of his head.

”I donʼt get it. If the spell was cast thousands of years ago, then why is it still in effect? I know for sure that the worldʼs parting limited the level of cultivation one could rise to Tier 12.

So since that was the case, why hadnʼt the spell also been suppressed to the peak of this world?” Kent asked.

Since a Tier 15 spell was cast, now that the highest one could rise to in this world is Tier 12, why was the Tier 15 spell still in effect?

⟪Master, do you remember when I told you there are places that even I cannot see or access?⟫ Gaia asked, causing Kent to nod.

⟪Then this will be simple. I have scanned the entirety of this world, and strangely, there are two such places.

The first place is on the ancient battlefield of Parting. Itʼs a region called the Dead Zone where nobody dares enter. Since I canʼt spy inside, I canʼt tell what is hidden within this zone or why it canʼt be entered.

You would have to find out yourself.

The second place is the Dark Region, or as most call it, the Dark Forest. Itʼs somewhere on the demon continent. Itʼs the second place.

These places are called the Fractured Regions. The laws are unstable there, so if I am not mistaken, this spell is still active in one of these two regions.

However, I have to warn the master. The Fractured Region, although still limited by the laws, can be abnormal.⟫

”How abnormal are we talking?” Kent asked.

⟪You might meet beings or monsters that, although theyʼre at the peak of this world, their true strength can rival those in the high worlds.

They are like Unique Worlds where the laws donʼt apply, just that in these regions, the laws apply, but the limitations arenʼt that effective.⟫

Akira took over.

⟪Also, the master can already see that despite making Elaine your servant, you still wouldnʼt be able to bestow a true name on her when her trust level reaches the 80% level.

So you must look for a way to break this spell first. To do that, you must grow stronger in all aspects, for the biggest challenge you might face in this world can be found in the Fractured Regions.⟫

Kent stood up and took a big sigh.

”Looks like things never slow down regardless of how powerful you become,” he smiled.

⟪Itʼs good that the master understands that. Thankfully, you have no shortage of manpower, so that can make some difference in the long run,⟫ Dori said with a smile.

Unlike her sisters, she knew Kent knew something about his subordinates since she had access to his mind. She saw Vexthraʼs memory and knew what Kent knew...even better than him.

So she was just reminding him of his undead and Night Riders and the reason he has them.

”Have you ladies come up with the design for the next undead?” Kent asked, but Akira shook her head.

⟪We need a couple of days to do that. Thanks to our current supply, we donʼt want to create anything weaker than Zareth.⟫

”Very well. I will go talk to Zareth now. I expect the design to be complete in two daysʼ time.”

⟪It will be ready, Master.⟫

Kent nodded before vanishing into the Legion Tower, where his undead and Veydris were training.
