Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 450: The Aftermath

There is something called a secret.

Itʼs something that is meant to remain hidden. Itʼs a secret for a reason.

So, when such secrets are made public, the backlash is always severe.

Pill Saint Enex had just been exposed, leaving him open to everyoneʼs criticism. He had indeed fallen into a deep one this time.

Kent made sure of it.

But while he made a clown out of Pill Saint Enex, he also ensured the other Saints knew they werenʼt invincible.

He had unleashed his fury on them, and this time, they all knew that while many feared them, there was someone who wasnʼt afraid of them.

Kent had proven to everyone he wasnʼt afraid of them. This shows they are invincible regardless of what they think.

When he was done, he left, leaving them like idiots.

But that is the problem.

The aftermath of stuff like this isnʼt always the best.

Though Kent spoke from a place he didnʼt yet fully understand, he angered many, and because of that, he is now in everyoneʼs rearview.

But who can blame him?

What he knew of Pill Saint Enex, what he had done to Elaine, wasnʼt something he could just swallow and let pass.

The quest he received told him all he had to know.

Apparently, the ambitious Saint wanted to become a Pill Sage. But in order to do that, he must first concoct a Tier 8 pill.

Pill Grandmasters can concoct Tier 3 to 5 pills, while Saints can do so from Tier 6 to 7.

So, just like how Kent had to concoct a Tier 3 pill as his requirement to become a Pill Grandmaster, Pill Saint Enex is required to concoct a Tier 8 pill.

However, there is a huge problem.

On the human continent, the highest pill recipe is at the Tier 7 stage. It was only known to a handful. This means the highest they can go is the Pill Saint stage since going to the Pill Empire, which is the elven empire, isnʼt an option.

However, Pill Saint Enex had a fortuitous encounter while exploring the Ancient Battlefield of Parting. He discovered a Tier 8 pill recipe.

This was his breakthrough moment. Unfortunately, the recipe wasnʼt a good one. It was a demonic pill that required a rather large quantity of life force to make.

This was a roadblock to him. He doesnʼt have the magic to extract life force.

Life magic is rare, and while itʼs not a combat-type magic, many cherish it. However, those who practice life magic are rather reclusive people.

However, somehow, Pill Saint Enex found out there was a family of life magic users in a certain village. This brought him some hope.

So he set out and managed to locate said family of magic users. However, after observing them for a while, he knew getting what he wanted would be difficult.

He saw how much Elaine and her family loved what they did. Of course, he set his sights on Elaine, who was the easiest to manipulate.

He knew, if he asked politely, there was no way she would come with him.

So, as sinister as he was, he formed the best plan.

He poisoned Elaineʼs mother with a poison that life magic cannot heal. This calls for alchemy, and as sinister as he was, he made sure this was realized by the young life magic user who doesnʼt know she is being manipulated.

It was safe to say she had indeed succeeded, and for years, he nurtured Elaine until he deemed her ripe enough for the picking.

That was when he approached her using that letter. Elaine became his, and when she finally accepted her role as the disciple of a Pill Saint, the real devil she had chosen bared his fangs at her.

She became helpless, and for years, she felt trapped.

But now, a stranger she planned to use as her shield has done more than she wanted. She just couldnʼt understand what had happened or how it happened.

But she is now free.

However, Kent had just made himself into public enemy number one. His enemies started to increase, so he knew drastic measures must be taken.

He entered the carriage, where Nara and Lady Lani were already waiting for him. Soon, they are back to their hotel, which was being monitored like he left it.

The moment he entered the room, he called out.

”Sylara, come out.”

The evil, undead lady appeared, frightening Lady Lani, who drew her dagger.

”Relax, Lady Lani, she is a friend,” Kent said, using his left hand to block her from advancing toward her doom.

The red-eyed, undead lady looked at the assassin beauty but said nothing. But Kent could tell she was looking forward to torturing her.

”Master, you called me,” Sylara said.

”Yes. Please keep an eye on that Pill Saint. The moment he took action to do anything stupid, kill him, and knowing you, do it slowly and painfully.”

Kent said coldly, making the two ladies inside the room feel the temperature drop considerably.

”I will do as you say, Master.” Sylara giggled, or made a sound that sounded like a giggle, and then vanished from the room.

”Nyxira, come out.” Again, the Umbra Elf, who is also Elsaʼs strongest soul sentinel, appeared. This again made the beautiful assassin turn and look at Nara, who just remained calm and watching.

”I know you can sense them, so go ahead and mark them all. When the time comes, they will be yours to kill. For now, we need them doing what they are doing.”

Nyxira nodded and vanished. After she left, Kent turned and looked at the two ladies.

”We need to talk.” Those words sounded very serious, so the ladies nodded, walked toward a dinner table, and sat down around it.

”What are we talking about?” Nara asked.

”Nothing serious if you are in my shoes, but apparently, the Forest Kings in the wild forest want me dead, and the reason is because of the Forest King I bought during the auction.”

”What?” Lady Laniʼs eyes widened hearing Kent. ”Are you being serious?” she asked, and Kent nodded.

”They want me dead,” he smiled. ”But the thing is, I also want them dead, or perhaps alive.” He smiled, but his expression turned evil.

”You see, in the next five years, this world might come to an end, and I am the only one that can save everyone. This means I want manpower. And while I will appreciate having them alive, I know that will be difficult to achieve, so I can only go for the next best option and use their dead bodies for my own project.”

”Donʼt tell me...” Lady Laniʼs voice dropped as her jaw hung wide open.
