Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 397: Challenging The Fourth Level of The Sword Bridge

Kent was pushed back, riding the shockwave that exploded after he clashed with the clone.

”Stronger and faster than the third-level clone,” he muttered, but he quickly attacked again, aiming to check how fast and precise his attacks had become.

Blades clashed in the air, creating powerful shockwaves and sword flashes that could overwhelm anyone below the Sword Saint stage.

In fact, even Sword Saints with Profound Sword Intent and Qi below the third level would have been overwhelmed, yet he was matching the cloneʼs attacks.

At every turn, he could tell he wasnʼt on par with the clone, but no matter how quick the attack was, he always countered, creating a dynamic he just couldnʼt understand.

”Somehow, I can defend against all his attacks like I know when and how they will be executed. This feeling is strange,” Kent said to himself as he continued exchanging sword strikes with the clone.

Ten minutes and tens of thousands of sword moves later, something happened that caused Kent to widen his eyes.

”I have matched his speed.” He was casually deflecting and parrying the cloneʼs attacks like it was the most natural thing to do.

In fact, if he were to close his eyes, he would still be able to counter and deflect all the attacks.

”Girls, what is happening?” Kent called his three assistants.

⟪The master is currently experiencing the effect of the Sword Gaze.

Basically, just as you can strengthen your sword and attack with Sword Qi while exerting your influence using Sword Intent, the Sword Gaze helps you adapt to your opponentʼs attacks and, to some extent, learn them.

Of course, this requires powerful mental strength. The fact that you have already learned his moves and even assimilated them means your mental strength is extraordinary.⟫ Dori explained, and Kent could only smile.

If Doriʼs statement is indeed true, then future battles will be much more interesting. Being able to learn and assimilate his opponentʼs moves is something that will go a long way.

”In that case, why not heat things up?” He landed a powerful attack, forcing both of them back.

[Fractured Void]

Kent unleashed one of the Sword Gaze skills, cracking the void behind the clone and forcing out a powerful sword arc.

However, the clone countered by unleashing a powerful beam of red light from its sword. Kent, however, was a step ahead, using a split body to sneak up on the clone.

But just as he closed in, the cloneʼs split body attacked his split body, creating a powerful shockwave that caused them to annihilate each other.

Kent was startled by what he saw, but he quickly moved again. This time, he unleashed another Sword Gaze skill.

[Edge of Eternal Night]

The cloneʼs surroundings were plunged into darkness, forcing it to quickly surround itself with a wave of Sword Qi.

But Kent had no intention of moving in, knowing full well that getting closer would be far more dangerous for him.

The Profound Sword Intent in the air was much more dangerous than he thought.

So he chose to overwhelm the clone.

He tapped into [Rapid Slash], unleashing 450 sword arcs.

However, the moment that attack was executed, he channeled even more energy into his sword and unleashed a diagonal sword slash, sending out a powerful sword arc.

The sword arc decimated the Sword Qi vortex the clone had created around its body, allowing the unleashed slash to slam into its torso, sending it flying.

Kent was ready again. Without hesitation, he activated his sneak attacking skii, [Doom Shard], forcing a dark shard to shoot up from the ground, piercing the cloneʼs chest and killing it.

However, before he could smile, his instincts flared.

He immediately raised his sword overhead just as the clone materialized out of thin air and unleashed a powerful sword move, sending Kent flying backward.

Blood seeped from the corner of his mouth.

Yet, he smiled—this was the peak of battle, the greatest fight he had experienced as a swordsman so far. The previous ones were fun, but this one is peak.

”This is the best.” He spat the blood and grinned, showing his red, soaked teeth.

He moved, his speed blinding, as he began unleashing sword arcs while dashing across the battlefield.

The clone countered and defended, their movements resembling two phantoms clashing at impossible speeds.

Kent was using [Phantom Mirage Blades] to distort the cloneʼs perception, but the clone countered with the exact same skill.

The perfect counter to this technique was itself, and Kent was struggling to come up with the best move to kill the clone at the moment.

Any skill he used was countered by the clone using the same skill, making this much more interesting yet annoying.

However, the longer they fought, the more he learned. And at this moment, he was pushing himself to the absolute limit—just to see how far he could go.

An hour later, he started to bleed, and the clone also had cuts on its body, meaning they had both sustained wounds.

But within that hour, Kent had found a way to win.

”Here we go.”

He blinked back and used [Thousand Blades Reflection] to multiply his [Rapid Slash] skill, causing thousands of sword arcs to appear. Then, he moved away and used it again.

This forced the clone to take drastic measures to defend against the relentless assault.

Before the clone could finish defending, Kent moved into position and unleashed a skill he had never used before. Of course it was a skill he had just learned thanks to Jest.

”Limitless Sword Arc Domain.”

The moment the skill activated, Kent felt the 100-meter radius around him grow razor-sharp. Then, he looked toward the clone, which was consumed by thousands of tiny sword arcs, slicing into it relentlessly.

He wanted to unleash more sword techniques, but before he could move, he sensed his energy draining rapidly—like something was siphoning it away.

The depletion was so fast that he had to quickly deactivate the skill.

But the job was nearly done—the clone had been reduced to a pitiful state.

Using the last of his energy, he unleashed one final swing of his sword, sending a powerful sword arc that cleaved the clone in half.

This time, no split body appeared, meaning he had successfully killed the fourth-level clone, clearing the level.

”This skill is not something I can use at this moment,” Kent thought to himself as he sat down, placing his sword beside him.

A few seconds later, his fatigue faded, and all his wounds healed completely.
