Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 354: Lady Lani

”Alina, do you think Kent will agree to an alliance with my auction house?” Lady Lani asked, sitting under a blossom tree somewhere in the Gate Masterʼs residence.

She is with Alina, Kentʼs woman who was acting just to maintain her cover...for now.

”He will, big sister. He gave you the ambrosia fruit, didnʼt he? So I doubt he will reject your offer to become partners,” Alina replied, already waiting for how she would react when Kent arrived.

”Then do you think he will agree to also join the expedition to the Ancient Battlefield of Passing? He has proven to have what it takes to survive there.”

”Just relax, big sister. I am here with you, so let me do the talking in case you cannot handle it,” Alina said with a smile.

The look and behaviour of the auction master werenʼt something new to her.

She could tell Lady Lani was both eager to see him yet still shy and perhaps afraid, considering she still hadnʼt recovered from the events during the auction.

In fact, instead of recovering, she seemed to get worse every single day. The ladies ensured she got a good view of the action, so she could never recover that easily.

Not that she would ever want to recover. In a way, this was something new to her, so her curiosity was piqued.

Kent, who was on his way, had to stop and glare at the disciples of the Gate Master, who were proving to be stubborn.

”You do know that I can beat you all senseless, and your master wouldnʼt do anything to me, right?” Kent said to Zayn and the rest of Gate Master Maraʼs disciples.

”Master is not here, so go back,” Zayn said.

”I am not here to see your master. I came for the two ladies currently living here,” Kent replied.

”Unless Master allows you to enter, we cannot let you in,” they said. They wouldnʼt allow him in simply because they still hated him for what happened during the sword trial.

They still hadnʼt recovered from that traumatizing event yet.

”Fine.” Kent turned around and left the gate. The five disciples smiled, seeing they had made the brat return.

However, Kent, who had only moved 209 meters, smirked and blinked away. The next second, he was inside the large mansion, 3 kilometres from the five brats.

He had been there before, so teleporting inside wasnʼt too hard.

The moment he appeared inside the mansion, he felt someone scan him.

He immediately recognised the person was much more monstrous, considering he barely felt their presence wash over him. He moved toward the direction of the presence, and soon, he could see two beauties sitting.

Lady Lani quickly covered her face with a veil when she felt Kentʼs presence, considering she removed it before. But even so, Kent could already see her beauty. And this time, it was up close.

ʼKeep hiding your beauty, lady. I will see that face by the end of today,ʼ he smiled as he approached them.

”Ladies,” Kent said, moving closer to Alina.

Without any hesitation, he took her hand and landed a kiss on her lips, shocking Lady Lani to the core. Even Alina never expected something like this to happen.

”No need to look so shocked, Lady Lani. Alina and I are together. She is my woman, and I am her man,” Kent said, sitting beside the stunning beauty.

Lady Lani looked at Alina and then at the smiling Kent, sighing.

”Then I assume you are the perfect alchemist... Thereʼs no way my Alina would hide his identity if he didnʼt mean something like this to her.”

Kent smiled.

”She had to keep me a secret so I could grow my strength. You already saw what happened during the auction. Back then, if they came after me because of how extraordinary I am, I would have been dead by now.”

”I guess that makes sense,” Lady Lani nodded, then glared at Alina. ”Why didnʼt you tell me it was him? I would have protected him.”

Alina smiled. ”Sorry, big sister. I just didnʼt want to take any chances since he wasnʼt ready to make his name known just yet.”

”I see. I guess that also makes sense. But in the future, let me know, and donʼt worry—Iʼll do my best to protect him.”

”Oh, I have no doubt youʼll be able to protect me. As the disciple of a Kingdom Protector, you are more than capable,” Kent smiled, making the veiled lady raise an eyebrow.

”So, youʼve met Master already,” she sighed. The brat is just too monstrous for someone who isnʼt even half her strength.

”I met Big Sister Vari. Sheʼs a wonderful lady,” Kent smiled.

”Big sister?” both Alina and Lady Lani asked, their eyebrows raised.

”No need to look so shocked. Our relationship is a special one. If you donʼt believe me, you can ask her later and see,” Kent said, still smiling, while the two ladies looked both shocked and shaken.

”You do know Master is one of the strongest people in this world, right? How were you able to stay calm before her? I expected you to be shaken by now,” Lady Lani asked.

Kent smiled.

”A wise man once said, ʼA cultured man is never shaken when thrown into the lionʼs den, for he knew he will walk out chewing the bones of the lion.ʼ”

”Unbelievable,” Alina said, shaking her head. She had heard of the Kingdom Protector before and knew she was someone only a few people had the privilege to meet.

For her man to have met her and walked away, even reaching the brother and sister stage with her, was just too much. Kent was simply extraordinary for someone his age and strength.

”Just donʼt be too shocked, ladies. Sometimes, you can only accept what has happened and move on,” Kent decided to end the teasing there.

After ensuring they had calmed down, he looked at the veiled lady and asked, ”I presume coming here wasnʼt just to listen to how amazing I am. So, why donʼt we take the conversation to the Tasty Home Pavilion? We can talk over a hot meal.”

Lady Lani glanced toward Alina, who she knew would be going with her man. This means she could only nod.

The next conversation would be about her attempt to recruit him. But then she remembered what Alina had said and could only sigh.

Alina told her she would do the talking, and with the sudden discovery that she was Kentʼs woman, it was only natural to assume this conversation was already in the bag.

However, she also wants to try to make her voice heard, and since this was more like a formal request, she will try her best to get him on board.
