Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 394: The Gaze Enlightenment (2)

”This place is nice,” Kent muttered, looking around the lush garden he had appeared in. It was a place he immediately took in for he will replicate it inside his Tower.

Suddenly, space cracked, and from the void, a purple eye snapped open. A powerful sword arc—as wide as it could get—flashed out, decimating a tall mountain along with thousands of giant trees.

”Fuck, that is something.” A smile appeared on his face, as usual. However, he was shaken, for the attack that had just landed on the mountain was one he could tell was a pure sword slash.

There was no active skill behind it.

It was a pure slash of the sword, utilizing only sword intent and qi. That was all.

Naturally, his passive skill yeh allows him to gain clarity, and one that holds his focus intact activated letting him get enlightened by the attack.

”Is that even possible... Cultivating the act of using just a sword to unleash such an attack?” A seed was planted in his heart. This was something he planned to experiment with.

The attack had decimated the landscape, but he remained unaffected. So he began to stare at the devastation, and from what he observed, Kent—the second skill he had picked—was not as simple as it looked.

”This is going to take some time,” he muttered, but there was nothing he could do about that. So he started to watch, and as time passed, he slowly began to grasp the concept—though at a painfully slow pace.

However, while Kent might have been feeling frustrated at his inability to comprehend the skill faster, in reality, someone undergoing a Gaze Enlightenment should, at most, struggle to learn one skill.

Yet he had not only managed to learn one skill already—he was in the process of mastering a second. And if that wasnʼt enough, he had gained inspiration from something completely unrelated.

The sword arc that appeared was like a bonus addition to the skill.

Right now, he wasnʼt just surpassing expectations—he was shocking many people he wasnʼt even aware were alive across the many lives he had lived.

A month later, he still hadnʼt fully comprehended the skill. Yet he remained seated for three more months, making it seven months since he had entered the realm of enlightenment.

A few days after spending four months staring at the eye, it finally snapped shut—and his own eyes flew open, creating a small yet visible spatial crack that proved he had indeed mastered the skill.

”I doubt thereʼs anyone like me out there,” he bragged, grinning like an accomplished pirate. But he didnʼt leave the space he was in.

No.

Kent began using the skill repeatedly, striving to understand its mechanics more deeply before exiting the realm.

He spent another month inside, mastering the Fractured Void Skill for as long as he could each day—pushing himself until exhaustion set in.

After thirty days, satisfied with his progress, he closed his eyes and left the realm, returning to the space where he could select his third skill.

”Iʼm sure some people would be furious if they knew Iʼve learned two skills from what was supposed to be an impossible task by any standard.”

He smirked.

”But what can I say?”

”A wise man once said: when something is given for free and thereʼs time, donʼt look back.” Kent closed his eyes, moved past all 1,200 tombstones, and began examining even more to add to his selection.

It took him another month, but he managed to survey an additional 1,250 tombstones, bringing his total to 2,450.

That was when he chose the third skill he would learn.

”Lunar Eclipse Slash.”

This skill resembled the sword arc that had appeared while he was comprehending the Fractured Void skill.

It taps into lunar energy, unleashing a red crescent-shaped sword arc imbued with sword qi and intent.

At its core, the skill was a simple sword slash—but its power scaled with mastery. The more Kent refined his understanding, the more devastating it would become.

Satisfied with his choice, Kent sent his consciousness into the tombstone. Like before, he was transported inside—this time to a void of space, surrounded by moons, planets, and stars.

”Hmm, this is unusual,” Kent mused. But he couldnʼt deny the beauty surrounding him, It was like he had appeared in a domain of beauty yet danger.

Just then, what he had mistaken for a moon suddenly snapped open, revealing a massive red eye.

The instant it opened—just like the previous ones—it unleashed a devastating sword arc that split a star in two.

Kent couldnʼt help but grin. It was as silent yet sharp as it can be and he was pleased with that.

”Combining this with Fractured Void... now thatʼs a recipe for destruction.”

His plan was falling perfectly into place.

First, a slash that strikes directly at the soul. Unless the opponentʼs soul was stronger—or protected by soul defence—their chances of survival would be zero.

Then there was the Void—something Kent knew he would grow to love, especially since one of his wives was literally made of Void energy.

Now, he was learning an ability that harnessed lunar essence to unleash a sword arc capable of cleaving through planets, moons, and stars.

And the most terrifying part? He wouldnʼt wield it with his hand or even a sword. No—this power would be unleashed through his eye.

That alone made it invaluable… and in the wrong hands, catastrophic.

Killing with just a gaze was not something to be underestimated.

Kent began comprehending the skill by observing the eye unleash slash after slash.

Three months later, he grasped its essence—but instead of leaving, he used the remaining time to refine it further, testing whether he could merge it with the Fractured Void skill.

Surprisingly, within a week, he succeeded. For the rest of the year, he honed both skills to perfection. By the time the year ended, he had mastered all three—and was hungry for more.

Eleven months later, he had added four more skills to his arsenal making it seven deadly skills worth fearing.

”I might never return here ever again,” he thought. ”Why not memorize as many skill names as possible? With my connection to the universe, I might still acquire them later.”

A month later, the enlightenment ended, ejecting him from the realm. But he didnʼt leave empty-handed—he carried with him seven devastating skills… and the names of 4,500 more waiting to be claimed.
