Earth's Greatest Magus

Chapter 2147: Demand

Emery entered the Ouroboros main hall, his body bearing only a few scratches from his recent ordeal. However, in contrast to the chaos just happening outside, the chamber was peacefully calm.

A dozen powerfull figures filled the room, half of them in the grand magus realm, all silently kneeling before the majestic female figure seated on the throne.

Silviana Ouroboros, the Serpent Queen, gazed upon him with a terrifying beauty that seemed to pierce through his very soul. With a glint of smile, she spoke her words of surprise. ”To think you could pass them so quickly,” she said. ”It appears you are no longer that weak boy anymore.”

The Queenʼs words were accompanied by her three cosmos grand magus aura, which had once been able to reduce him to his knees, but now seemed to have little effect on him. With his formidable mental defense, Emery was able to resist most of her aura and step confidently across the chamber.

”I have come here demanding an answer,” he declared, his voice firm and resolute.

The Queen replied with a subtle gesture and the dozen figures who had been kneeling rose to their feet, they parted to create a path for Emery, their eyes fixed on him with an air of curiosity.

However, the queenʼs next words show a hint of disdain, ”I did not grant you an audience, You have no right to speak here”

The declaration was accompanied by another spirit attack, this time more potent than before. The air seemed to shimmer with spirit energy as multiple entities converged on Emery, their collective strength pushing him back several steps. But despite being knocked off balance, Emery refused to yield. His determination was palpable as he straightened his shoulders and stepped forward once more.

The Queenʼs expression remained serene, but her eyes betrayed a hint of amusement. She turned her attention to one of the grand magus standing before her. ”He is your disciple, you should be the one teaching him a lesson.”

A female grand magus bowed in response ”Yes, Your Majesty,” her voice dripping with deference.

Emeryʼs footsteps halted as he recognized the figure blocking his path. The female magus with a scar on her cheek, was Grand Magus Atika.

Although their time together was brief, she was still his respected sword master. He took a deep breath, calming his chaotic emotions, and politely addressed her, ”Master, please step aside.”

However, Grand Magus Atikaʼs response was swift and unforgiving. She drew her sword, and a terrifying aura emanated from the blade. ”You will not pass,” she declared, her voice cold and unyielding. Without hesitation, she unleashed the power of her domain.

[Domain Battlefield]

The palace hall around them began to transform. The air was thick with otherworldly energy as the ground beneath their feet began to shift and writhe. Sharp, sword-like stones erupted from the earth, their jagged edges glinting in the dim light. The domain was a spectacular combination of earth and sword, a testament to Grand Magus Atikaʼs mastery over both laws.

As Emeryʼs senses struggled to comprehend the sheer scale of the domain, he felt his body begin to feel like it was being restrained by thousands of invisible swords. The air was heavy with tension as Emery faced his sword master, aware that he was now trapped in her domain, at her mercy.

The true extent of Grand Magus Atikaʼs power was evident as she unleashed her domain, she had no intention to test Emeryʼs strength but directly restrain him. This unexpected move was met with a mix of disappointment and surprise from the other magus and grand magus present, who had been eager to witness Emery receive some beatings.

Emery realized that his masterʼs intentions were not malicious, and he felt a surge of gratitude towards her. However, he knew that he couldnʼt surrender, not when his pride and determination were at stake. With a deep breath, he addressed his master, his voice laced with humility. ”Forgive me, Master,” he said, his words carrying a sense of apology and resolve.

The moment Emery finished speaking, the Khaos energy within him began to stir, responding to his emotions. The energy burst forth, shattering the unseen sword aura that had been restraining him. As the restraints dissipated, Emery drew out his [Savage Sword], its blade crackling with energy as it resonated with the enhanced space law that flowed through him. The air seemed to shimmer with anticipation as Emeryʼs [Void Blade] took on a life of its own, ready to face the challenge ahead. ṜãＮỌᛒЕS

The sudden turn of events caught everyone present off guard, including Master Atika herself, who couldnʼt conceal her surprise. She swiftly transformed her expression into a knowing smile and complimented, ”Very good,” before assuming a defensive stance, her sword raised high, beckoning Emery to make his move.

Emery wasted no time and charged towards his master, his sword swinging in a fluid motion from a lower stance. As Master Atika brought her sword down, their blades met with a resounding clash right above his head.

BOOMM!!!

The impact of their clash reverberated throughout the entire palace, creating a deafening blast that echoed off the walls. Despite the sheer force behind their collision, the Domain battlefield effectively contained the destructive energy, preventing any collateral damage from spilling beyond its boundaries.

As the smoke cleared, the two combatants stood locked in a tense standoff, neither willing to yield. Emery strained against the immense pressure exerted by his masterʼs sword, feeling as though he were trying to withstand the weight of a mountain. Being forced down, he tapped into his Twilight form, a transformation that granted him the strength needed to push back against the unrelenting force and unleash a flurry of Dao Sword combinations.

The sound of their swords clashing rang out in rapid succession, each strike delivering a powerful impact that reverberated through the Domain battlefield, creating a symphony of battle cries that echoed through the halls of the palace.

The clash of swords intensified, each strike carrying with it an incredible force and precision, yet Master Atika skillfully parried every blow with seamless grace.

As Master Atika began to launch a series of calculated counterattacks, Emery soon realized the vast gap in his 15 years of experience compared to the sword mastery displayed by the sword master before him.

Just like his previous duel with Mo Yan, Emery found himself thwarted by the limitations of the Domain battlefield, which rendered his lower-tier spells ineffective. He called upon his [Spatial Bending] spell, conceding defeat in the sword fight as he narrowly evaded her strike.
