Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Contract

”What exactly happened?”

Annie watched the scene, the surprise in her eyes beyond words.

She couldn’t at all associate today’s Duke Frost Wolf with yesterday’s Duke Frost Wolf; the difference in strength between the two was truly enormous.

What happened last night?

Why did Duke Frost Wolf’s strength change so much overnight?

Could it be that last night, Duke Frost Wolf and Cynthia were actually cultivating and not doing other things, and she misunderstood?

Annie frowned, unable to figure it out no matter how hard she thought.

Suddenly, she remembered that this seemed not to be the first time this kind of thing had happened.

Last time, Cynthia also suddenly had a breakthrough overnight!

At this moment, Annie was really curious.

On the battlefield, David surely wouldn’t know what Annie was thinking.

After discovering that his physical quality had elevated to Tier Five, making it possible to break through the Earth Dragon Beast’s defense, he started continually letting the Earth Dragon Beast bleed.

On the ice-covered earth, the dragon beast’s blood had completely dyed it red, with the blood sealed in the ice, like scarlet gemstones!

Roar, roar, roar—

At this moment, the Earth Dragon Beast was also somewhat confused.

It couldn’t understand at all why this human’s strength could become so strong in such a short time, instilling fear in its heart.

Even the Earth Dragon Beast, which possessed a trace of dragon bloodline, would become weak after losing a large amount of blood, and its body finally began to wobble.

Ultimately, this powerful Tier Four Extraordinary Magical Beast collapsed heavily to the ground due to excessive blood loss, having completely lost the ability to resist.

Of course, the recovery ability of the Earth Dragon Beast was extremely abnormal, able to quickly replenish lost blood given enough food and time.

But David obviously wouldn’t give it this chance; having successfully felled the Earth Dragon Beast, he reminded the stunned Annie to come over and help.

”You should contract this Earth Dragon Beast.” David said calmly.

Annie was taken aback, showing a look of surprise on her face, ”You want me to contract this Earth Dragon Beast?” Originally, she thought David would contract it himself.

”It’s just a Tier Four Earth Dragon Beast,” David said tranquilly.

With his current strength, the Earth Dragon Beast was useful but not significant.

Next, his strength would certainly quickly break through to Tier Five, then advance towards Tier Six; to become his Magic Pet, it would at least have to be a Tier Six Magical Beast!

But for someone like Annie, a Tier Three Mage, it was different; contracting this Earth Dragon Beast could greatly enhance her strength.

By then, with Annie holding down the Wizard Castle, he could feel more at ease.

At this moment, Annie was indeed somewhat surprised.

She thought Duke Frost Wolf came here to contract a Magic Pet for himself, and she was merely coming with a task-completion attitude, even considering returning to the castle if it didn’t work out today, not planning to accompany Duke Frost Wolf all along.

She never imagined that Duke Frost Wolf intended all along to help her contract this Earth Dragon Beast, and despite the danger, he acted personally.

This contrast made Annie feel a surge of guilt in her heart, while also feeling somewhat touched; she hadn’t felt this kind of care in a long time.

”Can’t you contract the Earth Dragon Beast?”

David looked at Annie who was stunned in place and frowned as he spoke.

If Annie, with the ability of a Spirit Contract, couldn’t contract this Earth Dragon Beast, he would have to find a way to let someone else contract it.

However, after all, the Earth Dragon Beast was a Tier Four Magical Beast, and he felt that Amy and Reina’s spiritual power might not be able to handle this Earth Dragon Beast.

”I’ll try; it should be fine.”

Annie took a deep breath, showing a serious expression.

Then, she came to the side of the weakened Earth Dragon Beast and began the contract.

Spirit Contracts have many methods, either active or passive, and since the Earth Dragon Beast was a Tier Four Magical Beast, inherently stronger than Annie, active contracting would be difficult; it can only be done when the Earth Dragon Beast doesn’t resist.

The following events were no longer his concern; seeing Annie begin to communicate spiritually with the Earth Dragon Beast, David moved aside and started collecting the blood frozen in the ice, storing it in bottles.

Thus, time passed little by little.

The Earth Dragon Beast was very resilient, not compromising the entire time.

It wasn’t until the fragrant aroma of roasted meat wafted by that the Earth Dragon Beast, weakened due to excessive blood loss, had some reaction.

Seeing this, Annie began a gourmet strategy again.

The method of stick plus sweet date works on both people and Magical Beasts.

Finally, under the threat of death and the temptation of gourmet food, the Earth Dragon Beast chose to yield, resisted for a little while, but gave up resisting.

There was a flash of silver in Annie’s eyes, and the Spirit Contract successfully formed, engraving a Spiritual Mark in the Earth Dragon Beast’s Spiritual World, completing the Spirit Contract!

”I did it,” Annie exclaimed with delight.

Although she already had many Summoned Creatures, none could compare to a Tier Four Earth Dragon Beast, something she didn’t even dare to think about before!

And now, all of it had become reality.

Thinking of this, she shot a grateful glance at Duke Frost Wolf beside her.

”Hmm? Do you want to thank me?” David said with a half-smile.

Annie was taken aback and immediately responded, her eyes becoming alert once again.

Seeing the wariness in Annie’s eyes, David felt somewhat regretful; if it were Reina or Cynthia, at this point, they would do whatever he said.

”It seems conquering Annie won’t be easy.” He mumbled to himself, deciding to focus on enhancing Annie’s favorability for now.

Roar, roar, roar—

The Earth Dragon Beast, after being contracted, seemed much more docile.

Afterward, Annie fed it quite a bit of food, finally allowing the weakened Earth Dragon Beast to recover somewhat, replenishing the lost blood through digestion and strength.

”Its recovery ability is not bad,” David smiled with satisfaction.

Thus, he could continuously obtain blood from the Earth Dragon Beast to concoct the Blood Red Reagent, and all he had to provide was food.

For the next two days, the Earth Dragon Beast focused on regaining its physical strength.

After the Earth Dragon Beast had mostly recovered, the three of them, along with the now mobile Earth Dragon Beast, headed back to the castle together.

”What a pity there’s no such spell as Beast Taming Space,” David thought.

Over these two days, he had gained more insight into the Summoner profession; the magical beasts summoned by a Summoning Spell were only temporary; once the ritual ended, the summoned magical beast would return to its summoning origin.

”Once we get back, I’ll create a casting medium to summon the Earth Dragon Beast, so even if the dragon is not by my side, I can temporarily summon it for battle.”

Annie said, smiling at David.

After two days of interaction, the relationship between the two had visibly improved a lot.
