Wizard: Stronger through Marriage

Chapter 72: Chapter 72: The Snow Demon Descends

Rosalia walked in the darkness.

”The Church.”

A trace of coldness flashed in Rosalia’s eyes.

She had just received a message that a fellow witch hiding in Black Leaf Ridge had her identity exposed and had already fallen into the hands of the Church.

For wizards, the Church is an eternal enemy.

They, these witches, merely mastered extraordinary powers. How could they possibly be the claws of demons?

In comparison, those nobles who only know how to exploit and enslave are more like the claws of demons and should be the ones tied to the pyres!

Suddenly, she looked up to see a little black sparrow quickly flying toward her in the distant sky. She stretched out her hand, and the little black sparrow landed on her arm.

”A message from Annie?”

Rosalia retrieved a letter from the vial.

This letter was written in riddles that only they could understand.

She skimmed through it quickly, her face showing a hint of shock.

The Duke Frost Wolf had actually become a wizard and possessed a terrifying ice element talent.

Having just become a Tier One Mage, he already had the power to manipulate the ice element of the world into the power of ice!

Upon hearing this news, a complex expression appeared on Rosalia’s face.

The Duke Frost Wolf had become a wizard, and Annie even suggested that her fellow witches all go to Frost Wolf Ridge.

No matter if others were going or not, she absolutely would not go to Frost Wolf Ridge.

Rosalia’s face showed determination.

After placing the letter back into the vial, the little black sparrow swallowed it, flapping its wings to fly into the sky towards other destinations.

She wouldn’t head to Frost Wolf Ridge, but neither would she stop others from going.

In comparison, she had more important matters to attend to, such as heading to Black Leaf Ridge to attempt to rescue the witch whose identity had been exposed.

...

Frost Wolf Castle.

David had been waiting for news from the wizard organization.

Of course, he hadn’t been neglecting his own cultivation either.

But instead of waiting for news from the wizard organization, he unexpectedly first got news that an Earth Witch from Black Leaf Ridge had been captured by the Black Leaf Ridge Church.

”The Earth Witch?”

David slightly furrowed his brow.

This kind of witch, who mastered earth power, was a good helper for farming.

If he could obtain this witch’s power, he could start all those construction projects, and the entire Frost Wolf Ridge would be transformed.

However, this time, the witch fell into the hands of the Church, and now the Saintess and the Holy Light Knight Order had already arrived in the Northern Lands, which made it particularly dangerous.

Of course, the danger he referred to wasn’t in terms of strength; the vice commander of the Holy Light Knight Order, Hillman, was a Tier Five Earth Knight whom he could fully handle.

But if the Church learned that it was he who took action, that would be somewhat troublesome.

”Lord Duke.”

The Gray Wolf Knight also showed a worried expression on his face.

David nodded lightly, tapping the table with his hand.

Then he stood up and searched for a map of the Northern Lands.

Black Leaf Ridge lies to the west in the Northern Lands and is the territory of the Black Leaf Marquis.

Although the Black Leaf Marquis is just a Tier Three Knight.

He wasn’t sure about the strength of the knight order the Church dispatched to escort the witch.

After thinking about it, he decided to go there personally and take a look. If there were really strong opponents, he would just observe and return.

If there wasn’t even a Tier Four powerhouse, he could completely disguise himself as an Ice Mage and take action!

...

Black Leaf Ridge.

The Black Leaf Lord watched as the Holy Light Knight Order left, breathing a sigh of relief.

The discovery of the witch this time was purely accidental.

He did not expect that the vice commander of the Holy Light Knight Order would come in person.

However, as long as he sent the Holy Light Knight Order out of his territory, his mission would be complete, and he could also receive a reward from the Holy Light Church, which was considered worthwhile.

But just as the Black Leaf Lord returned to the castle and entered a shadow, a dark figure suddenly flashed, and a bloodstain appeared on the Black Leaf Lord’s neck.

After completing the assassination, Rosalia vanished into the shadows again, leaving no chance for those knight’s attendants around to react.

When she reappeared, the Shadow Witch stood atop the castle tower, her gaze following the gradually departing Holy Light Knight Order, her expression somewhat somber.

The vice commander of the Holy Light Knight Order was an Earth Knight, and in a direct confrontation, she would stand no chance against him.

As such, she could only wait for the cover of night, hoping to find an opportunity to rescue the witch, though she knew this was but a slim chance.

David arrived in Black Leaf Town soon after as well.

Knowing the opponent was an Earth Knight, he squinted his eyes. As long as Tier Five Hillman didn’t come personally, he could easily handle a Tier Four.

Moreover, the Holy Light Church sending the Saintess and the Holy Light Knight Order this time clearly harbored ill intentions; if he could seize the chance to kill a Tier Four Knight, it wouldn’t be bad.

...

That night.

The vice commander of the Holy Light was rather cautious.

He immediately had the troops set up camp and placed the witch under guard.

Rosalia waited for a long time but could not find any opportunity to strike in the camp illuminated by the Light Technique, and her heart had already sunk.

Holy Light could be said to be the greatest nemesis of darkness, under such circumstances, her shadow abilities were completely ineffective, making it impossible to silently infiltrate.

In a direct confrontation, she stood no chance against an Earth Knight.

In this situation, she was forced to abandon the rescue.

But just as she was struggling to leave, a cold wind suddenly blew through the camp, and a figure wrapped in wind and snow appeared.

”Is this... a Snow Demon?” Rosalia was stunned.

At this time, the Holy Light Knights in the camp also noticed the Snow Demon’s appearance.

Richard felt the energy wave emanating from the Snow Demon, and his face turned extremely serious. It was clearly a powerful Tier Four demon!

Whoo whoo whoo—

The wind and snow continued to sweep through, suddenly surging towards the camp.

Crack, crack—

Wherever the cold wind passed, the ground was completely frozen by snow and ice.

Seeing this, Richard hurriedly activated the fighting qi containing the Holy Light power within, transforming it into a Holy Light shield to fend off the incoming ice and snow.

But at this moment, the Snow Demon, carried by wind and snow, had already arrived in the camp, and proceeded to use ice control, gathering all the ice elements in the area, turning the entire camp into a terrifying ice domain where everything was completely ice-sealed!
