Technological Empire Starts From Shanzhai System

Chapter 428: My God, is this sodium-ion battery still talking about science?
Chapter 428 My God, is this sodium-ion battery still scientific?

Just like that, when the time came to 11 o’clock, Lin Xuan walked slowly to the stage on time.

”Papa...”

There was a warm welcome applause at the scene.

At this time, all the audience and guests at the scene looked at Lin Xuan who was slowly walking towards the center of the stage with admiration, as if they were looking at a god!

”Ladies and gentlemen, we are going to release two products today, first let us introduce the first product, which is the sodium-ion battery!”

Hearing Lin Xuan’s words, people looked at Lin Xuan curiously and felt a little anxious at the same time.

Lin Xuan has not yet deciphered it at this point. What is the second mysterious thing? This really makes people jump a little anxiously.

In this regard, Lin Xuan only smiled faintly, and then slowly said:

“It has been two months since our sodium-ion battery project was announced, and now we have finally delivered a satisfactory answer.

Our first phase of sodium-ion battery factory with an annual capacity of 30GWh has been gradually put into production, and is expected to reach the first phase of full production of 30GWh in early October.

It can be said that sodium-ion batteries are no longer castles in the sky, but real products. From then on, ordinary lithium-ion batteries in the world can be eliminated.

Because ordinary lithium-ion batteries cannot beat our sodium-ion batteries at all, only ternary lithium batteries can compete with our sodium-ion batteries! ”

”Papa...”

After Lin Xuan finished speaking, all the people present applauded excitedly.

The production capacity of the first phase has reached a terrifying 30GWh. I am afraid that this energy density can already meet domestic demand.

If Lin Xuan knew what people were thinking at this time, he would curl his lips and say that this production capacity is actually nothing.

Because the production capacity of 30GWh is actually only equivalent to the production capacity of a battery factory in BYD.

However, later generations are also in the era of electric vehicles and green energy, and the global demand for rechargeable batteries is extremely huge.

In 2021, the global lithium battery production capacity will be 324GWh, of which 52.7% of lithium battery production capacity will be used on the grid side, mainly for peak and frequency regulation of the power grid, to solve the problem of high peaks and low valleys.

However, in the current environment that does not emphasize green and sustainable development, and does not advocate energy conservation, emission reduction and protection of the earth, the demand for rechargeable batteries such as lithium batteries in the power grid is not large.

Now many remote areas are not connected to electricity. Where does energy saving and emission reduction come from? Therefore, in the current era, not half of the lithium battery production capacity has been used for grid testing.

In this case, although 30GWh production capacity is nothing in later generations, it can initially meet domestic demand in the current era.

And isn’t there a factory in Daxia? The factory there is several times larger than that of Hantang Technology, so it can initially meet the global demand.

In this way, Lin Xuan continued to speak amidst the applause of the people:

”Do you know which one has a longer lifespan between sodium-ion batteries and lithium-ion batteries?”

Hearing Lin Xuan’s question, people at the scene raised their hands one after another, and then a male guest was lucky enough to be qualified to answer.

After taking the microphone, the lucky male guest said happily:

”Mr. Lin Xuan, I know this question, because experts have said that the natural lifespan of lithium-ion batteries is longer than that of sodium-ion batteries. It is said that the lifespan of sodium-ion batteries is only 500 to 800 times of charging and discharging cycles!”

Hearing the guest’s words, Lin Xuan nodded slightly, then said with a smile:

”It seems that you have a lot of knowledge, but you don’t explain it clearly enough, so let me explain it.

Ordinary lithium batteries have a service life of 300 to 500 charge and discharge cycles. Under normal use, they can only be used for one or two years, and at most three years, they need to be replaced due to poor performance.

The life of a ternary lithium battery is 800 to 1200 charge and discharge cycles, and can be used for 3 to 8 years. Different charging habits during this period will seriously affect the battery life.

There is also a lithium iron phosphate battery. The life of the lithium iron phosphate battery is also the battery with the longest life in the market. Its life can reach more than 2000 charge and discharge cycles. ”

Hearing Lin Xuan’s words, the guests at the scene nodded with half understanding.

At this time, they also know which battery life is stronger and which is weaker.

Of course they know this, but they are also very curious about the theoretical life of the sodium-ion battery.

Looking at Lin Xuan’s confident smile at this time, the lifespan of Hantang Technology’s sodium-ion battery should be good, at least surpassing the theoretical 500 to 800 charge-discharge cycles of the current sodium-ion battery.

But Lin Xuan did not answer at this time, only to see him smiling and changing the subject:

”Many people may not know that the number of charge and discharge cycles I just mentioned is not counted as one charge, but the number of charge and discharge cycles is counted as how much is charged and discharged.

For example, if you charge half of the battery to full, it can only be counted as 0.5 times.

So in actual daily use, the number of times the battery can be used will be far greater than the number of times just mentioned.

Among them, if the number of charge and discharge cycles is lower than the national standard, it is abnormal, because the battery quality is too poor or the technology is not up to standard. ”

Hearing the people here nodded again, they secretly expressed that they had learned a little new knowledge.

At this time, Lin Xuan changed the topic, and then talked about the number of charge and discharge cycles of sodium-ion batteries:

”Our sodium-ion battery has been tested day and night, and the final result is 5000 charge and discharge cycles!”

”5000 charge and discharge cycles?!”

”Oh my god, did I hear that right? 5000 charge and discharge cycles?!

Isn’t this life equivalent to 6.2 times that of ordinary aluminum batteries, 4.1 times that of ternary lithium batteries, and 1.6 times that of lithium iron phosphate batteries? ! ”

”Damn it, the lifespan is too strong, the ternary lithium battery can only be used for three to four to five years, and the real lifespan of a good battery on the market is only about 800 charge-discharge cycles.

As for the ternary lithium battery with a lifespan of 1200 times, it is simply not available on the market.

That is to say, if we use sodium-ion batteries, doesn’t that mean that the service life of sodium-ion batteries is directly equivalent to 4.1 times that of ternary lithium batteries?

Even if the three-year service life of the ternary lithium battery is considered, the starting life of the sodium-ion battery is 12 years, and that is still a low case.

Normally speaking, if the battery is well maintained, it will definitely be fine for 15 or even 20 years!

This lifespan is too terrifying and too powerful! ”

”Oh, mygod, this battery is horrible, if electronic products use this sodium-ion battery, then people will never need to think about batteries.

More than ten years of battery life is enough, after all, it is impossible for an electronic product to be used continuously for more than ten years.

Of course, even if it is really used for more than ten years, it is estimated that the electronic products are aging and the battery is still intact. This sodium-ion battery is really too powerful, and the lifespan is too scary. ”...
