Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2270: Chapter 2264: Recuperation

Qin Xue wants to read books to learn more knowledge herself, so that Xue Ling can become stronger. This way, it can help her when something happens.

The reason Qin Xue thinks this way is because Xue Ling’s abilities are related to her, so as its owner, she has to consider its well-being.

Before, it could still cultivate spiritual energy in the space. Now in the mortal world, its time is spent helping her watch the children. It can only rely on this thin air to breathe, let alone cultivate; whether it can maintain its cultivation level is a problem.

Therefore, Qin Xue doesn’t want it to live too hard, and can only think of ways to compensate it.

”Hmm, are you resting now or reading a book?” Chu Molin looked at Qin Xue. He followed her schedule and watched what she decided, accompanying her in everything.

”Read a book. If you’re tired, go ahead and rest. You don’t have to wait for me.” Qin Xue only has time to read at night, so she wants to read a little longer before resting.

”Then I’ll keep you company. But Xue’er, I feel like you haven’t been looking well lately. Is something wrong?” Last time when they returned, he told her to see a doctor, but she refused. Now seeing that she hasn’t improved much, Chu Molin looked at Qin Xue worriedly.

”I don’t know what’s going on, I feel a bit unwell. My stomach hurts occasionally, my chest feels tight. I’ve been thinking that my period should be coming, but it’s been so long and hasn’t come. I’m thinking if I should take some saffron to bring it on.” Qin Xue touched her stomach. She had experienced uncomfortable lower back and stomach issues like this before her period arrived in the past.

That time, her grandfather gave her a prescription for some traditional medicine, and her period came afterwards. After that, her grandfather would occasionally prescribe medicine to regulate her health. Later, she learned medicine herself and intentionally adjusted and took care of her body, and it got much better. The symptoms hadn’t appeared again since then.

Now the symptoms have returned, so Qin Xue is wondering if she should regulate herself like before?

”Don’t self-medicate. Wait and see first. If it stays like this for a while, go to the hospital and consult a professional doctor. Taking medication—while you’re also a doctor—you’re not specialized in this area, so don’t recklessly prescribe for yourself, understand?” Chu Molin didn’t want Qin Xue to do anything reckless. Sometimes even doctors can’t treat themselves properly. Without the right prescriptions, it doesn’t treat the illness but harms oneself. So Chu Molin objected immediately when he heard it.

”Okay, I’ll listen to you.” Qin Xue saw the worried expression on Chu Molin’s face and agreed with him. Also, because of Chu Molin’s insistence, Qin Xue was later truly grateful for listening to him and not doing anything rash, otherwise they would have regretted it for a lifetime.

Returning to the present, after the couple spoke kind words, they each read their own books until late at night before going to bed.

Also, because Qin Xue wasn’t feeling well, Chu Molin was very well-behaved and didn’t disturb Qin Xue, allowing her to rest well.

The next morning, Chu Molin cooked breakfast. Although there were now two additional people at home, he didn’t make anything extra special, sticking to making only steamed buns and porridge. He had figured out that his wife needed to eat porridge in the morning. In case they didn’t get full, he would make dumplings or buns and some small side dishes. So, to accommodate his wife, Chu Molin made porridge. As for the brother-in-law and sister-in-law, they had to settle for eating the same as them.

It’s not that Chu Molin didn’t want to treat them well, but if given the option, they would also adapt to accommodate their sister. Since all three shared this mindset, he simply prepared the meal according to what he thought best and knew how to make.
