Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 1625: Chapter 1619: Ideals

“My sister went on a mission, she should be back soon, but once she’s back, she might have to return to the Imperial Capital, so I’m not sure if you’ll have a chance to meet her.” Qin Jiale hadn’t seen her sister for a long time, she missed her, and her brother too.

“Mission?” Xu Shaoqin looked at Qin Jiale puzzled.

“Yeah, my sister is a doctor, and my brother-in-law is a researcher at an institute, haven’t I mentioned it before?” Qin Jiale looked at the several pairs of eyes staring at her, then slowly said.

“No, you’ve got a tight lip, huh, Qin Jiale your family is really amazing. To have two such incredible family members.” Cai Wenzhao wanted to apply to military school, she wanted to be a soldier.

“My brother wants to be a soldier, if my mom didn’t stop him, he’d be one by now. But let me tell you, I want to be a military doctor in the future.” Qin Jiale whispered.

Her mom wouldn’t let her join the military, so she’d apply to military school, surely her mom wouldn’t oppose that.

“Lele, my goal is also to get into military school, we can work hard together to achieve that, what do you think?” Initially, they just talked about applying to schools in the Imperial Capital, but Cai Wenzhao’s top choice was still military school.

“Keep your voices down, don’t let my mom hear. She said not to let me join the military, so I’m only secretly telling you guys. You have to keep it a secret for me.” Qin Jiale urged them, if the secret got out, her wish would be shattered.

“Why won’t Auntie let you join the military? Being a soldier is so impressive, isn’t it?” Guan Xiaojun’s goal was to join the military, she had planned it out, if she didn’t get into college, she’d sign up to be a soldier.

“I don’t know what my mom is thinking, anyhow, she doesn’t let us, what I think my mom doesn’t know.” Qin Jiale felt she should have her own ambitions.

“Wow, your sister is amazing. Lele, when exactly is your sister coming back? I really want to meet her.” These words made Guan Xiaojun eager to meet Qin Xue.

“I already said I don’t know.” Qin Jiale watched as these girls became fangirls of her sister.

“Lele, I’ll cook, you take your classmates out to have some fun.” Nangong Shulan entered the kitchen and saw several girls helping out.

“Auntie, it’s okay, we also want to learn to do some things.” Xu Shaoqin replied with a smile after hearing Nangong Shulan’s words.

“You’re here to have fun, you’re guests, how can I have you helping out? Go out and play instead, don’t get your clothes dirty.” Nangong Shulan felt a bit embarrassed, having guests help out made her feel uneasy.

“Auntie, you’re too polite, we’re classmates with Lele, if she’s doing it, we can do it too. We’re not expected to do anything at home, Lele ends up knowing how to do everything while we don’t know anything.

So we want to learn to do some things too, that way we can go back and cook a meal for our family, don’t you agree?” Xu Shaoqin felt that Qin Jiale’s mom was being a bit too polite, they really wanted to help out, otherwise, playing and staying over felt a bit embarrassing.

“But you girls rarely come over, and if you do, then there’s nothing to enjoy, is there?” Nangong Shulan didn’t depend on them to help her out, so she couldn’t keep them in the kitchen all the time.

“Mom, you just go look after the kids, we’ll handle things here today.” Qin Jiale saw her mother and classmates exchanging polite words and found it awkward, so she just let her mother go.

“Alright then, you girls be careful, don’t burn yourselves.” Nangong Shulan reminded them, in case they weren’t careful and burned themselves while cooking.
